Villa al Castello

I can’t fan girl enough over Villa al Castello! If you are thinking about booking this place - I HIGHLY highly recommend! It’s everything and more than you see on their website. ❤️Truly made our experience on Lake Como the best! From the villa manager to the actual villa to the location to the market/pizzeria nearby to the sweet town to the surrounding nature … I can’t recommend staying here enough! The villa decor, the layout of the villa, the luxury feel from the bedding to the couches to the fully stocked kitchen, bathrooms, kids room, the pool, the outdoor patio … it was the PERFECT place for our family to spend my mom’s 70th birthday! There were 8 adults, 4 children and 1 toddler. They supply this beautiful home with literally everything you possibly would need. We also had a private chef come to the villa one evening which was the icing on the cake! Had a custom cake created from a local bakery. Really amazing businesses in the area to make this dream location even better! The Villa was perfect to access Bellagio, Mennagio and Varenna fairly quickly via bus + ferry! The only thing we would do differently next time would be rent a car so we could access other towns quicker without using the bus but it was perfect how it all worked out this time! If you love hiking, there is so much to access around the area. We could’ve spent a month there just exploring and discovering all that’s to offer! The nearby pizzeria is a must! Pizza, lasagna, pastries were 💯 and very affordable. So is the sweet little market nearby! Fresh meats, cheeses, fruits - they have limited hours but it’s a must! Thank you Villa al Castello for an experience of a lifetime! ❤️ We can’t say enough about our stay and hope to come back soon!

We had a fabulous stay at Villa al Castello. There were 9 of us for a 60th birthday celebration. The team were super attentive and on hand for anything we needed but to be honest, we did not need anything as the villa was so well equipped with anything we could have possibly needed! The villa is the perfect pivot point to visiting Menaggio, Tremezzo, Como and even only a ten minute drive to the ferry over to Bellagio. However, we quite honestly could have spent the week sitting on the terrace as the uninterrupted views were just breathtaking over Lake Como and the surrounding mountains. Thank you for a wonderful, memorable trip!

We were a group of 6 adults and 4 children staying there for one week. The stay was very nice and we are sure to come back. The house and bathrooms are very clean and the rooms are spacious. The decoration is pretty but also not over-decorated. There is a lot of attention given to the details - you find everything you could possibly need. The view from the pool is just stunning. The tips from the manager were especially helpful and there are things to do for all ages: Visiting old towns, going hiking, going on a boat, swimming or SUP paddling in the lake. There is a small store in town that has everything you need and large stores in short driving distance. See you next year!

We went on a family holiday to lake Como and booked this beautiful house. We were with 6 adults and 2 little children and it had plenty of space for all of us. The Villa is beautiful, the views are breathtaking and everything is very clean and nicely decorated. It had everything you possibly need. the surroundings are beautiful too. Loved the city town Menaggio which is super close by. We also went on the ferry to Bellagio. Would highly recommend staying there and would love to return somewhere in the future!

[media stay] I had the pleasure to be a guest of Villa al Castello in April, the place is wonderful and in a perfect location. It is modern yet cozy and complete of every accessory or house item you may need. The terrace and the view is simply stunning. The kids room is spacious and has many games they can play. The pool is under construction but will be ready for summer. The surrounding area is full of things to see and do. Perfect spot for a relaxing and happy holiday in Lake Como.

Thank you for the great hospitality at VILLA AL CASTELLO. We were a group of 6 adults and 6 children, but even with 12 people you don't feel that this great villa is overcrowded. The villa is perfectly equipped with everything you need. All installed equipment is UpToDate. The landscape is spectacular, just amazing, no noise, just quiet to enjoy the scenery. We had a wonderful relaxing stay there. Hope once to come back.

Als große Familie hatten wir eine herrliche 3-Wochen-Sommer-Zeit in diesem tollen Haus mit freiem Blick auf See und Berge. Es liegt in einem verwunschenen und aus der Zeit gefallenen kleinen Dorf und bietet genügend Platz für 12 Personen. Es ist mit viel Liebe und sehr geschmackvoll (+ zeitgemäß) renoviert und eingerichtet worden. Alles, wirklich alles* ist vorhanden um zu kochen, zu spielen, zu lesen, ... sich einfach wohl zu fühlen. Die Betreuung vor Ort durch Vittoria war ebenfalls hervorragend und die professionelle Gästeinformation hat uns ein schnelles Einleben ermöglicht. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen ! *... lediglich eine Zitronenpresse konnte ich nicht finden ;)

Wunderbares Haus für Urlaub mit Familie und/oder Freunden! Das Haus ist perfekt für eine große Gruppe ausgelegt - es war so angenehm, dass wirklich von allem genug da ist und man unkompliziert die Unterkunft mit der Großfamilie oder auch einer Freundesgruppe nutzen kann. Wir waren 3 Familien - die Kinder haben sich sehr über die vorhandenen Spielsachen gefreut und die Erwachsenen über den Blick und die gemütliche großzügige Terrasse sowie die tollen Schlafzimmer (alle mit eigenen Badezimmern). Wir würden es sofort wieder buchen - das einzige, dass man sich bewusst sein muss, ist dass der Ort selber überschaubar ist und außer einer Pizzeria (im September nur am Wochenende geöffnet), einem kleinen Lebensmittel-Laden (nur vormittags geöffnet) und einer Eisdiele in der nächsten Ortschaft nichts fußläufig erreichbar ist und man regelmäßig das Auto für Ausflüge nutzen muss
