Villa Barleben am See

We stayed during late summer. The hotel was quirky but all the more wonderful for it. The rooms were exotic in keeping with the ambience of the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was a short walk to various swimming areas on the lake. We loved staying at this hotel.

Very romantic hotel situated along the border of the lake. A five minutes walk to the center of the town along the typical and beautiful villas from the beginning of the 20th century. Parking is free in front of the hotel. Very nice welcome and super friendly staff. Highly recommended. Do check out the local Italian restaurant next doors in the casino, very nice indeed also.

I love this hotel, it gives you the feeling of living at the 1400s with all decorations that will give you an excellent and unique experience. Antje was super friendly from welcoming us and guide us also she offer for us a welcoming drink. The price of the room was not expensive and not low something in the middle. One of the things that I like the garden and it’s lake front gave us an amazing view all the day.

It had been raining all day on our drive and we drove to this unique place and we were thrilled as it was the end of the street in a neighborhood on the lake. We rang the bell and a lovely staff person opened the door and we stepped into a very interesting place filled with memorabilia and artifacts.We were on the second floor with good windows and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom clean and small, the linens nice and the room was comfortable. We went to the outside garden that was set up for a cool glass of wine/beer and watch the water in the rain. The hotel did not serve dinner on our one night but did suggest places within walking distance. The breakfast was wonderful and we sat outside with pretty arrangements. We had very nice time talking to a lovely girl who was staffing the breakfast about the area and Germany in general. We wished we could have stayed here longer as the bar and the rooms for sitting were so inviting.||We loved walking on the lakeside edge and it was very nice even in the rain. We would return to this area and the hotel.

I would definitely recommend this Hotel. It might not be a five star hotel, but it gives so much coziness and the balcony is so nice. I visited here in February so there was not so many guests so there was bo breakfast but they gave us so many complimentary drinks and food to eat. The quality of everything in the hotel is very nice. I can feel how much they thought about it. I normally sleep in Hilton/Bonvoy but this was a very interesting and special hotel for me. Very kind and professional staffs and clean and comfortable bed and such a good location. I would definitely come here again.

Hotel itself situated in a beautiful location. Very charming, unique and comfortable, it has a total of 9 rooms. It’s possible that you’ll get sort of bed&breakfast vibe while staying there.|Staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was very clean.||NOTE: There are MANY taxidermic animals through the Villa (birds, leopard, ....), so I personally believe that a person who is a vegan and/or anyone who is in favor of animal rights wouldn’t feel pleasant if staying there.|I wasn’t bothered with it. It suited decoration.||And btw., let’s not forget that this is a *** star Hotel. Among other things (including that) - all the best.

We had a wonderful 2 day stay for the first days of our biking tour around the lake. We had a large lake view family room where we were able to comfortably sleep as a family of 5. The hotel put in 2 extra beds for us and provides an excellent breakfast on their lovely terrace - fresh fruit salad, delicious selections of bread, cheese, cold meats, jams and eggs! We were also particularly impressed with the personal attention of our hosts, who went to to the trouble of contacting the police to avoid us getting a parking fine! A great choice for a central yet peaceful location in a unique hotel filled with antiques with great personal attention.
