The Best Hotels on the Amalfi Coast With Spectacular Views, Private Beaches, and More

"As soon as you enter the gates of Villa Bossa there's a whimsical, cool essence that defines the property. The sleek aesthetic and playful beanbag-like lounge chairs decorating all corners of the property make clear you've stepped into a world that's difficult to find along the Amalfi Coast. Gone is the lemon aesthetic and potted ceramics; instead you’ll find gravel floors, looming candelabras as tall as a teen, and a mini pool smack dab in the middle of the lobby (complete with a Champagne cooler begging to be used). There are only six rooms, but you can’t go wrong with any of them. Leaning into a mostly white aesthetic with small pops of color, each room has sea views. Strategic perk: You can choose your exact room when booking online, so be sure to research your options beforehand. There is no standalone restaurant or bar on the property, which may be a tough pill to swallow for some travelers, but there is a complimentary locally-sourced breakfast (pastries, made-to-order eggs, and fresh fruit) provided to all guests each morning. —Lara Kramer" - Jamie Spain

Villa Bossa Amalfi

"Why book? This is an Amalfi Coast property with exceptional service and spacious rooms, complete with a vibe that will have you feeling like a rockstar. Set the scene As soon as you enter the gates there's a whimsical, cool essence that defines the property. From large white stars painted across the pavement to the playful beanbag-like lounge chairs decorating all corners of the property (interior and exterior), you've stepped into a world that's difficult to find along the Amalfi Coast. Gone is the lemon aesthetic and potted ceramics; instead you’ll find gravel floors, looming candelabras as tall as a teen, and a mini pool smack dab in the middle of the lobby (complete with a champagne cooler begging to be used). The rooms There are only six rooms, but you can’t go wrong with any of them. Leaning into a mostly white aesthetic with small pops of color, each room has sea views, a king-size bed, air conditioning, flat-screen satellite TV, toiletries, and free Wi-Fi. I stayed in the Grand Suite 202, which featured the tiled bathroom of my dreams and a spectacular private patio overlooking the coast. Strategic perk: You can choose your exact room when booking online, so be sure to research your options beforehand. Food and drink Unfortunately there is no standalone restaurant or bar on the property, which may be a tough pill to swallow for some travelers. However, there is complimentary breakfast provided to all guests each morning, featuring homemade pastries from Amalfi's local bakeries, jams, fresh fruit, an assortment of cereals and snack bars; and hot made-to-order eggs on request. There's also an espresso machine serving up a variation of caffeinated drinks, which I found to be as good as any barista. If you find yourself hungry throughout the day, there is a complimentary pre-packaged food and beverage station in the lobby for quick grab-and-go items. The neighborhood/area The property is located just outside of Amalfi, and is a scenic (though slightly dangerous) 20-minute walk—or a breezy four-minute drive—to the city center. While the property’s address is technically listed in Ravello, Villa Bossa is located near the coast, while the heart of Ravello sits 365 meters above sea level. You can access Ravello via the local bus system, which stops down the street from the property. The bus ride is a windy 23 minutes drive up and a fun experience in itself. (I do not recommend walking this route—the roads are very steep and sidewalks non-existent.) The service Everything about the service at Villa Bossa is five-star. The relaxed staff does not miss a beat, and it is absolutely mandatory that Dino, the owner of the property, be mentioned here: From the moment we walked in the door, Dino greeted us with warmth and a familial joy that won me over instantly. Throughout our stay he was present, but never overbearing. My appreciation for him was certainly sealed one night when he saw my husband and I walking to Amalfi, pulled his car over for us to hop in, and drove us to our dinner reservation. His 100-percent genuine service makes him someone I certainly hope to come across again in my future travels. Accessibility This is one of the few properties along the Amalfi Coast that comes with (free) on-site parking. Upper rooms, however, are accessible by stairs only. Anything left to mention? There’s something special about Villa Bossa that’s best summed up by its eclectic decor, truly gorgeous rooms, and, of course, the presence of a sincere property owner." - Lara Kramer

We stayed here for two nights. Breakfast was great – fresh and delicious. (It’s usually hard to impress Turks with breakfast in Europe since we’re used to a big variety back home, but I really liked it here!) For people like us who don’t enjoy walking much, getting to Ravello and Amalfi on foot was a bit tough. We took the bus to Ravello, but you can easily walk to the nearby Lido di Ravello beach. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and spacious. Overall, a very good stay.

From the beautifully designed rooms and delicious breakfast to the perfect location, everything about our 3 night stay was wonderful. But what truly set this experience apart was the incredible service from Dino and his fantastic team. Dino’s warm, welcoming nature and genuine hospitality made us feel so looked after from the moment we arrived. He consistently went above and beyond for every guest, and it’s this level of care that makes the hotel a must-stay if you're visiting Amalfi. The hotel itself is stylishly modern with charming historic touches – it feels both luxurious and homely, whether you’re unwinding all day or returning after exploring. Breakfast was spot on: simple, fresh, and excellently prepared. The views are stunning, and there’s a gorgeous beach club just five minutes away. Situated just 1.5km outside Amalfi town, the hotel is close enough to enjoy all the restaurants and sights, yet far enough to avoid the crowds – the best of both worlds. We couldn’t recommend it more – a brilliant stay from start to finish!

Location was prime to Amalfi beach, we thoroughly enjoyed the modern and elegant feel of the hotel. Dino was an amazing host, he greeted us with Proseco and shared the best restaurant and places to go. Breakfast was amazing and the room was so nice we didn't want to leave. Amazing views, I highly recommend it.

This place is a gem and we had an incredible time for 3 nights. The location is a short walk to Amalfi with eye popping views the whole walk. The rooms are clean, spacious, with terraces that also have those breathtaking views. Dino and the team are the friendliest and so helpful at all times. The breakfast is the best way to get your vacation day started. And of course all the decor and style just makes you feel very famous! We loved it.

Villa Bossa: A Tranquil Oasis on the Amalfi Coast Villa Bossa is an idyllic retreat for couples seeking a peaceful escape after a busy day touring the Amalfi. The hotel's blend of modern elegance and traditional charm creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our spacious room, impeccably maintained, had a lovely bonsai-style tree that we admired day and night. Our balcony had a breathtaking view of the Amalfi that we enjoyed from our private outdoor jacuzzi. Breakfast was a delightful experience, featuring an abundant selection of fresh ingredients prepared with care. From the delectable fruit salad to the flaky brioche and the out of this world local sweets, every bite was a treat. Dino, our gracious host, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The entire staff was professional, friendly, and always willing to assist. We felt so at home that we decided to spend a full-day indulging in the jacuzzi on our balcony, savoring the magnificent sea views. As a lover of Bossa Nova, I was delighted to unwind in the hotel's relaxing ambiance, accompanied by soothing music. Villa Bossa is truly a hidden gem on the Amalfi Coast, offering the perfect combination of tranquility, refinement, and personalized service.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Villa Bossa and very highly recommend it. Check in was a breeze, the staff is friendly and helpful, our room and the view from our room and the terrace were amazing. If you are going to stay on the Amalfi coast, I highly recommend this hotel. It is centrally located so you can catch a ferry to and from Salerno to Amalfi, and then it’s only a quick cab ride to the hotel. Also, you can ferry from Amalfi to Positano and back easily and inexpensively. It is an easy walk to Atrani.

Writing this a bit late, but we stayed here last June for a honeymoon. Our host Dino was incredibly warm and provided us with plenty of thoughtful food and leisure recommendations across the Amalfi Coast. It was in every sense the perfect, modern boutique hotel. The hotel is clean, conveniently located, with spacious updated rooms with amazing views. Breakfast is phenomenal. We loved the artwork, as well. One couldn't wish for a better stay on the Amalfi Coast-- and it all starts with an amazing host, Dino and his team.
