"Set in the historical centre of Cascais, VillaCascais Guesthouse offers accommodation in a renovated aristocratic residence of the 19th century. Boasting an elegant atmosphere, the property has views of Cascais Bay and the beach, including from its restaurant’s terrace. With a mix of modern and vintage décor, all the air-conditioned rooms have modern bathrooms. Some come with a charming fireplace or a separate bath. Each floor has a themed decoration, with a different colour. The property’s restaurant has a Portuguese tapas theme and its menu was composed by a renowned chef. Quality wines are on display and available, by the bottle and by the glass. Breakfast is served each morning, between 7:30 and 10:00. There is also a terrace boasting views of the bay, the beach and Cascais. Guests are welcome to enjoy the outdoor swimming pool of the guest house's sister property, Hotel Albatroz, which is located at a short walk, within 250 metres. The pool area features scenic views over the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. The beach is across from the property, where guests can swim or lounge in the sun. Estoril Golf is less than 5 km away from the hotel. Transfers from and to the Lisbon International Airport can be arranged on request, which is 36 km away from the Guesthouse. Sintra is 16.5 km away and is famed for its beautiful palaces and mountain-side scenery. Cascais Train Station is just a 5-minute walk away." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Villa Cascais Boutique Hotel, Cascais, Portugal - Explore & Book

"It's the blue we'll best remember. The shimmering, rolling Atlantic Sea just along the coast, the richer marine hues of the more sheltered Bay of Cascais opposite, the glorious blue skies above. And, the shade of royal powder blue found throughout this elegant 19th-century residence, which opened as boutique hotel in late 2015 following a sensational makeover by a well-known Portuguese interior designer. The reception, restaurant and guest lounge have this opulence on walls, ceilings, chairs, sofas and feature shelving, as do half the superbly comfortable bedrooms. The others are clad in a wonderful rich olive green, while the penthouse has 3 balconies and a freestanding tub from which to drink in that blue view. Everything has purpose and place: the dramatic destination bar has ceilings of heritage Portuguese tiles; clusters of vintage wooden and brass moulds provide focal points. The groovy restaurant overlooks the waterfront of this upscale coastal town, Lisbon's summer playground, only 40 minutes west of the capital. In short, it's a perfect spot for a break with your partner or friends. Villa Cascais Boutique Hotel (Cascais, Portugal) 3 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"A half-hour’s drive to the west from Lisbon brings one to the Bay of Cascais, and the town of the same name, playground and inspiration to the likes of Ian Fleming and multiple generations of European royalty. The Villa Cascais Boutique Hotel is a repurposed 19th-century dwelling standing at shoreside, whose tasteful accommodations celebrate the luxury of years past while urging guests to indulge in the present. Old-world details have been thoughtfully preserved, from the traditional blue and white tiles framing the reception to an ornate baroque-style mural in one of the dining areas. But the new look is decidedly modern, especially in common spaces where bold cobalt-blue walls, ceilings, and furnishings contrast with gold accents and polished parquet floors." - Tablet Hotels

Wonderful hotel right by the marina. Our guest room was very nice and also very comfortable. The staff were very attentive and caring. Breakfast was plentiful with a bonus of having it on the terrace overlooking the marina. We had dinner a couple of times and both times it was delish! Would definitely stay at the hotel if we ever go back to Cascais.

My advice…spend the money and get a Sea View room as it is worth every penny. We had the great fortune of enjoying the best room in the Villa, the top floor, with 3 balconies and killer views. The Villa has everything you could need or want from the perfect oceanfront location adjacent to a choice in beaches, provided parking onsite to an easy walk to shops and great restaurants. We also lucked out with a festival during our stay that added extra fun to our trip.||The room, a mini suite, was stunning. The amenities are top notch and the provided breakfast is icing on the cake. And the staff is most pleasant as well. ||I expected a fishing village yet got a bougie seaside town that provided much enjoyment for a few days. Both Cascais and the Villa should not be missed. Each are unforgettable!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Cascais. The sea view room (8) protruding the front vista onto the beach was serene & idyllic. Thoroughly recommend sea view rooms. The room itself was spacious & tastefully decorated in a grass green that worked well against the sea & sand view. With three large windows there was plenty of light, and perfectly sized shutters to welcome sleep. |The room had a safe, coffee machine, hairdryer and basket with beach towels. |We were clearly told that tea bags & nespresso coffee pods would not be replaced and if we asked for replacements, they would be charged. There was literally one English breakfast tea bag and enough coffee pods for 2 coffees each. I’ve never experienced this from a hotel of this calibre & let it down. We bought our own pods for ease through our stay. |Whilst there was a kettle, it was stored on a tray in a cupboard with no designated power point to plug it into. We had to rearrange the room just to plug it in. |In general there were not enough power points in useful places in the room. |The bathroom was beautiful with a powerful shower, tubes, slippers, magnifying mirror and c weighing scale. |Storage was sufficient with hanging and drawers. |There was a smart TV too., there was no iron but a steamer was promptly delivered on request. |Dialogue with reception is via WhatsApp which was efficient. They could get rid of the phone on the bedside, which was small to create more space perhaps. |There is a back door with code for access post midnight. Great as the back exit takes you closer to the beach. |We pre booked sun loungers which was great & took us to Emma beach club. Breakfast was plentiful & delicious, eggs, bacon, bread, fruit & pastries. Staff are attentive and super helpful, kind & attentive. Location is incredible!!

We had an incredible experience at Hotel Villa Cascais, a charming boutique-style hotel right on the water. The ocean views are absolutely breathtaking! The hotel itself is beautiful, and our room was spacious and extremely comfortable. The service was top-notch; the staff assisted us with parking and luggage, making everything so easy. The hotel’s location is ideal, right in the heart of the pedestrian-friendly area with plenty of restaurants, shops, and breakfast options within a short walk. On our last morning, we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast, included with our stay, in a beautiful dining room. It was great to have fresh eggs and fruit before heading back out on the road. Overall, a perfect stay with all the comforts you could ask for.

Excellent location, staff is very helpful. Regina was extremely helpful she reached out to us via email 2 days before to book dinner reservations for us at the hotel restaurant which is spectacular and to book beach chairs for us at the beach. The beach chairs are included in the stay for hotel guests. Upon arrival she greeted us and was very friendly and thorough. Restaurant service and food was delicious for breakfast and for our dinner reso. It’s located perfectly, rooms were clean. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our recent stay at Villa Cascais. The hotel is wonderfully central located with amazing views of the waterfront. The rooms are fairly large and spotless clean. I loved that you could throw open the windows in the morning to enjoy the fresh seaside air. Staff are professional and friendly. There is a nice restaurant where breakfast is included and it is well managed with kind staff as well. You can easily walk over here from the train station. Highly recommended.

Excellent property! Upscale, modern, chic without losing that rustic and authentic charm. Check-in was amazing, Regina reached out a few days before arrival to ensure we had things pre-arranged like dinner reservations and day beds at the beach. She was an amazing host as well, helping us with check-in and anything we needed. The location is perfect for the destination, super convenient and the restaurant was also great.

The hotel location is amazing, right next to two main beaches and the main area with all the restaurants. |The staff was super helpful and friendly, and accommodated all the requests with a toddler. |Concierge was able to hold sun beds at one of the beaches which are hard to get. |The Corleone restaurant food was quite good! |We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

Yelp
Restaurant is on second floor of The Guesthouse. Amazing meal at VillaCascais, Chef's tasting menu with local wine pairings. Best meal in Portugal. Service outstanding surrounded by beauty of the sea. If you are looking to start or end your Portugal trip with extraordinary gastronomic experience - try to Chef's tasting menu. Reservation is a must (seating is limited).
