Villa Cassel - Pro Natura Zentrum Aletsch

A slice of heaven, surrounded by stunning views whichever way you look. The venue serves delicious food and can be the start of many hiking trails, including one to the nearby Aletsch Glacier.

The Tea Room here offered a delicious soup and cheese platter. We followed this with tea and cake. The service was very friendly and the cakes were particularly wonderful. We recommend the chocolate and cherries cake.

5 franks for a glass of water!!!!! Tourist trap predictably but was needed after a long hike. Good stop for a refill if needed after hiking through Aletsch Forest and seems popular with those coming up from the cable car station only 20 mins walk away. Waitress was quite unfriendly, barking at us for trying to get in with hiking boots on and taking the cushions off the benches from under us!

Easy and nice walk up to it. And then we done the walk through the forest from there and it was magical. We were able to have a very good view of the glacier as well as we went back to Bettmeralp.

I can't believe what an amazing experience we had for that low price. Food, staff, and ambiance were awesome.

Had here the most delicious cake last week in the very authentic Tea Salon!
