It's a lovely wooden hotel, and the staff were brilliant. However there were 3 things they could do to improve.|1. breakfast choice is minimal and the same every day|2. I never had more than a lukewarm warm shower because of lack of hot water|3. They could improve the garden area so there were comfortable gardens to sit / lie out in. I had a spare day in Luang Prabang, and would have like to chill on a sun lounger or comfy chair, but they just have concrete chairs and tables in the garden.

Poor location for shops and restaurants. A very clean and pleasant place. No pool or amenities. Breakfast was OK we stayed for planned events, so we were very happy. This is not a chill out destination. Early morning 04.00 drums and parade of monks every morning 05.00 onwards. This was why we stayed. Overall we enjoyed our 2 nights.

It's a very nice hotel. The superior double rooms are not very spacious but clean, nicely furbished, and all. We had a room with a street side balcony. The rooms on the other side have a garden view. The staff and the management are very helpful. The breakfast buffet is elaborate and good.

Very convenient location an easy walk to town centre. ||Modest but comfortable rooms, very good breakfast in nice garden room location. ||Best feature of the hotel is the friendly and helpful staff all of whom smiled, engaged and wanted to make our stay a good one. ||I would certainly stay again and recommend

We had a wonderful three-night stay at this charming hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and friendly staff who spoke well English, making our check-in process smooth and effortless. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable, with a spotless bathroom that matched our expectations. Each morning, we looked forward to a delightful breakfast served in the serene garden area. The selection included a variety of fresh fruits, tea, coffee, bread, cake, noodles, and yogurt—something for everyone's taste. The peaceful ambiance of the garden added a special touch to our mornings. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and pleasant stay. We would definitely return!

Overall, a good 3 star hotel. Very clean room. Not spacious though. Tiny working desk. Not very suitable if you stay here and hope to work. But quite fine if you are on your vacation and not expecting to work. Breakfast? Boring same old same old every day. But, the great thing is they have fresh fruit every day plus a coffee machine you can make your own. Atmosphere is good. There is a garden in the middle of the hotel.

Villa Chitdara is a lovely hotel in a great location in the old town for easy access to all the sights. I had some reservations before arriving based on photos but these were wrong! Beautifully kept property with clean and spacious rooms (for disclosure we had the premium rooms), very quiet. The breakfast selection was small but lovely fresh fruit, western tea and coffee and some cooked options, all served in an outside room with lovely views of the garden. Great air con in rooms. Friendly staff, didn’t speak a lot of English but not a problem! A nice touch they had a drink water refill point in reception. Only slight complaint/ thing to be aware of is the showers are basic - electric heat unit and looks dated, also no hot water in sinks.

such a nice hotel! i stayed here while visiting luang prabang and the room is super clean (and new). the buffet breakfast had a large variety of food, my favourite being the sweet orange juice (i think it’s fresh). location wise, it’s somewhere in the middle of the city meaning a lot of tourist attractions (night and morning market, temples, etc.) and restaurants are of walking distances.
