Villa Clarisse & Spa by Olivier Claire - Once in a Lifetime

We stayed for 6 nights in a large and well-appointed garden room. Very peaceful location but easy walk to many restaurants. Valet parking efficient. Staff really delightful. Breakfast excellent. Also garden and pool area (though pool area small with limited seating which may be an issue in busier times as guests from sister hotel can use it).|Much enjoyed our stay UNTIL major problem at check-out. We booked on-line and it was made clear in writing that - to confirm the reservation - a 50% deposit was required. This was duly taken from my credit card well before arrival. On check out they had no record of the (large) deposit payment and did not make any effort to try to find it. I therefore paid the full amount. On return home I checked with my bank that the deposit payment had indeed been made and emailed all the confirmation codes to the hotel, which finally - and I have to say rather lazily - repaid the amount clearly due, some 15 days after check out. Which very much spoiled the experience - and may serve as a warning to others if their accounting systems are so bad.

A stunning hotel. Such a relaxing atmosphere. The staff took it to another level - impeccable service and so friendly - they made us feel at home, they booked bike hire for us, they booked restaurant reservations and massages, they brought our car to the front door whenever we needed it.. The beds were comfortable, the shower was great, our room was huge. We couldn't fault a thing and we didn't want to leave!

This hotel is beautifully decorated. The gardens are very well maintained and a nice space to relax. I thoroughly enjoyed the spa and the newly renovated pool. Centrally located if you like to wonder around town do some shopping or enjoy a nice sunset with a chilled glass of wine.

We just returned home from another wonderful stay at La Villa Clarisse. It is such a special welcoming and comfortable place to come back to after our daily activities. The garden is quiet and as lovely as ever – a charming spot to enjoy breakfast in the morning with the sounds of the seagulls. Our stay was made especially nice by Sokha and George who went above and beyond making sure our stay was seamless and supporting us when needed whether it be for a restaurant recommendation, car or intel on where the best markets or gym are. Khady was a pleasure as well as she made our room the perfect respite after finishing dinner and cocktails. We simply cannot wait to return next summer! Thank you Team Clarisse!

We stayed at Villa Clarisse in 2019 and were so pleased to find it just as wonderful when we returned in 2023. The hotel decor is calm and inviting. Lovely architectural detail. Had a large room on the ground floor courtyard. The young staff are delightful, eager to help and friendly. Sohka (spelling?) always greeted us with a smile and served us champagne and snacks in the early evening. Pool area is pretty. The hotel doesn't serve lunch or dinner, but the location is perfect for discovering restaurants at the harbor. The island is beautiful and bike riding is a great way to see everything and get exercise.

My July stay at Villa Clarisse was absolutely delightful! The service was top-notch, and the young woman at the reception was fantastic. The gardens were lush and tranquil, a perfect spot to unwind, and the outdoor pool was so refreshing in the summer heat. Can't wait to go back and enjoy it all again!

We just arrived home from a wonderful stay at the Villa Clarisse which is located just down a quiet cobblestone street, away from the crowds in the lively square. We were graciously taken care of by the lovely and efficient team and the ‘villa’ is elegant and relaxed. Breakfast in the garden each morning was so peaceful. After a day of cycling the island it was a treat to return to such a beautiful place. The bed was exceptionally comfortable – we were restored and rejuvenated in the morning. The Villa Clarisse is truly a special place for us and we cannot wait to return.

Villa Clarisse is in a great location, just removed from the hub of the harbour but only a few minutes walk away. We had a lovely light, first floor room over looking the beautiful courtyard garden. ||The Villa is beautifully maintained and a sense of understated luxury, with interesting art and furnishings. The only food served is breakfast which is limited in option, very casual, with an option to eat in the garden. A you would expect of the area, the pastries are delicious.||The pool and surrounds is a great place to end a busy day of cycling and exploration of the island.||Our key point of contact during our stay was Charlotte, the concierge. She is truly excellent and incredibly helpful . Always on hand to help and proved especially critical when trying to organise our PCR test and certification for UK return.||Wold thoroughly recommend this hotel for a quick , relaxing break to recharge the batteries.
