Firstly, the staff were lovely, welcoming and attentive throughout my stay. If you needed anything, they were there and more than willing to help. They would humour me in my attempts at speaking odd Bahasa Indonesia while I was there, but obviously spoke perfectly good English.||I stayed in a 'villa with a garden view. The villa is exactly as advertised and has a more traditional feel. Very large, and the very well maintained garden was a great feature to sit in front of and have breakfast or do a workout on, while the outdoor terrace with the couch and hammock was great to relax. The outdoor bathroom was nice and also screened to prevent people looking in. The villa was stocked with cutlery, plates, etc so you could bring meals in, while it also had drinkable water. The bedroom itself is quite spacious and has everything you would need for a longer stay (wardrobe, safe, storage space) and a nice outlook over the garden. While the bed was a touch hard, it comes with a mosquito net the staff would set up for you every afternoon. The air conditioner worked very well.||The main pool was great place to spend the afternoon and have a drink. The cooking class seemed popular and smelled great, although I did not participate myself, it looked like people enjoyed it.||The location was good. Busy, but not crazy. There were enough cafes, warungs and bars around to keep you occupied. There is a shortcut through a back laneway making it about a 5 minute walk to the beach and the beach bars had good entertainment at night. As with everywhere in Bali, it seems a lot of construction was happening, but that's unavoidable at the moment.
