A beautiful little find and retreat, no surprises it’s no 1 in Constantia !! |Spent 8 nights post 3 in Cape Town Waterfront to see in 2026, and this was exactly what we needed.|It is nestled within the beautiful Constantia suburb, 30 mins from central CT, surrounded by stunning countryside and wine farms. The property is just idilic, traditional and quant, only 11 rooms, so a maximum of 22 guests at any given time.|Fabian, Jo and the staff are amazing and even Mr Schumacher popped in to say hello. Nothing is too much trouble, it’s like you are staying in your own rented luxury property with staff. |It is premium, exclusive and the views are to die for. |It’s very quiet and peaceful, breakfast is just wonderful, sets you up for your day ahead, either exploring the region or just lounging around by the pool. No food outside breakfast, but snacks and drinks fully available via an honesty bar (… and they have a fully stocked bar).|It’s safe and loads to do outside via Uber, plenty of restaurants, wine tasting or you can order in.|A really good compact gym, fantastic modern equipment 💪|Can’t recommend it highly enough, we’ll be back !! |Thank you to the Schumacher team for your hospitality !! 🤩❤️🇿🇦🙏🍷

Our first stay on our first ever trip to South Africa and Villa Coloniale set the bar so high. Everything is exceptional from the moment the gates open. The gardens are pristine, the lounge and restaurant are cosy, tasteful and modern, the restaurant is beautiful, not to mention the conservatory!!||||Our room was way beyond expectations and every attention to detail was perfect. The breakfast is a pure delight and the staff and service are exceptional. Communication was excellent throughout and we felt very welcome. ||||Particular thanks to Jo and Fabian for making our first stay so beautiful and we can’t wait to see you all again at the end of our trip !!

The lovely pool area with its sauna and bar invites you to relax and unwind. Fabian and his team truly live hospitality – attentive, warm, and always ready with insider tips, even for seasoned South Africa travelers. The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of the safe and scenic Constantia wine region, just a stone’s throw from Cape Town and all major attractions. A perfectly managed luxury villa that sets new standards. Once you’ve stayed here, you’ll understand why so many guests keep coming back. We can’t wait to return in January! 😇🍷

An extraordinary and beautiful place to stay. Everything is setup with so much love for details. All the Staff, especially Jo and Fabian, were super friendly, kind, and helpful in anyway. The garden is such a beautiful oasis to relax and enjoy. It was a great pleasure staying for two nights in the Villa Coloniale Schumacher. Thanks for the hospitality - we will definitely come back.

From the time of making the booking with Fabian, it was obvious I would have a good stay at the Villa Coloniale. The attention to detail and process made me feel at ease. There was communication before my arrival too which helped. On arrival I found everything to be to my satisfaction, the suite was excellent and spacious. The friendly staff at breakfast. Overall, it was a great experience, I have already shared this with my family and friends. Will definitely stay with you the next time I am in Cape Town.

What a beautiful place and nice people. ||I was surprised that it looked as nice (or even better) as in the pictures I saw online. The location is excellent, you can visit many things from there and it’s quiet at night so you can enjoy a proper sleep. The service is very good and they really give you personal attention. Room and bathroom were spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast has everything, is presented in a very nice way, that it is an absolute pleasure to enjoy in the every morning. I would definitely recommends to stay here if you have the chance.

A bit off the beaten path, on a quiet road, roughly 20 min from city center. Beautiful garden, nice pool area. Tasteful room design (We were in #7). Attentive staff and great host. Parking space on the property for all guests. Lots of space between breakfast tables outside. Excellent breakfast. No fuss at all. We'll be back. Thank you Jo, Fabian (&Ralf).

Villa Coloniale is truly a home away from home. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, the rooms are spotless and beautifully styled and the attention to detail makes you feel genuinely cared for. The staff go out of their way to make every stay comfortable and personal. A perfect blend of luxury and warmth I’ll definitely be back.
