11 Best Lake Garda Hotels, From Restored Monasteries to Glossy Villas | Condé Nast Traveler

"Real grandeur and elegance await at this superb castle‑like property in Cavaion Veronese. Built in the 1600s as a private residence for aristocratic families and later a holiday hotspot for European royalty, it’s rich with art‑hung walls, shining Murano chandeliers, ceiling frescoes, a grand staircase, and a mosaic‑decorated park dotted with ancient statues. Suites brim with aristocratic glamour—rich carpets, fabrics, and lavish marble bathrooms—while outside the manicured gardens frame lemon‑yellow poolside lounges and umbrellas. Two elegant restaurants, a cozy bar with a garden terrace, and an expansive wine cellar with over 600 labels round things out." - Silvia Marchetti

Villa Cordevigo (Cavaion Veronese, Veneto) 7 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Half an hour’s drive up the road from Verona is Villa Cordevigo, a classic Venetian country estate in the hills above Lake Garda. Right from the entrance it’s clear what you’re in for. After driving through the countryside, you make your way toward the villa by way of a long gravel road lined with ancient cypress trees, until the trees part to reveal the traditional stucco facade of the 18th-century building. In short, it’s that combination of pastoral tranquility and old-world sophistication that Italy does so well — and all the better that it’s on a vineyard estate in the Veneto, where the crowds are a bit thinner than in some of Italy’s other idyllic corners." - Tablet Hotels

We stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago on a trip around Italy and were very happy with the service from all the very attentive and happy staff. The spa facility is second to none and among the best I have experienced after extensive European travels. The hotel is also superb. The room we had was OK, a bit dark and dingy because the windows were very small and at floor level. The bed was very comfortable and the shower perfect. We eat in the one Michelin starred Oseleta restaurant. This was a huge disappointment. The service was great, the wine list extensive and the venue beautiful, however the food was disgusting and to top it off I had the raging runs at 4.30 am that night, cant think why but probably the raw fish which was proudly served, unbeknown to me raw when I ordered the dish. We finished of with Chateaubriand, cant go wrong with filet steak, it was like old boot leather, that was enough punishment so we just got up and left. I would say that the pink Champagne aperitive was excellent as to was the Oseleta wine, produced on their own estate. I don't like giving a poor review but I feel my experience needs to be stated, perhaps the restaurant will pick it up and correct the mistakes, after all they have one Michelin star.

Very beautiful environment and lovely and spacious room! We booked the Gaudenzia Suite, and I highly recommend splurging on this lovely room. Very comfortable and a wonderful and very spacious bathroom -- especially the large jacuzzi tub, in addition to the shower. The bed was very comfortable as well. The property is lovely - although we did not have so much time to explore as we would have liked since we spent much of our time driving around the lake. I also had a manicure, which was very nice. |Before we arrived we contacted the hotel several times with requests and questions and they always answered immediately, which we very much appreciated. We dined outside the property on our first night and they were so gracious to arrange a car to take us to the restaurant, and to wait for us to escort us back. |The breakfast is lovely and plenty of food!|However, the real treat is their 1-star restaurant -- Osoleta. What an exceptional meal in every way - we particularly enjoyed the water menu! But everything was absolutely amazing. We are just sorry we did not stay one additional night.

We travel a good amount every year and on this trip, we split 12 days across 3 hotels around Italy. This, by far, was one of the best overall hotels we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in, ever. Every detail, staff interaction, meal, and room were outstanding. Would recommend eating on the terrace after checking in as the lunch/snack menu was terrific and the pizza was one of the best we’ve had. My only suggestion would be to opt for an upgraded room as we went ‘budget’ room and it was tiny. Even still, every detail and furnish was outstanding - and the shower was one of the best we’ve ever used.

Stayed here for a week. Was stunning. Beautiful grounds and pool area and the room/suite was very nicely done- Tastefully modernized and high quality. Staff were brilliant and very professional. Mosquitos were a bit of a nuisance and I’d say they could do with a casual/simple food option - you can’t really do a meal for two for less than €100 and we were never blown away compared to local restaurants, but I’d certainly return.

I've stayed here 4 times and each time in a different room. Every time was amazing. It is super cool feeling like your in a little village just within the property itself. Such beautiful buildings and grounds. There is a rustic/antique nature to some of the rooms in feel, but they are absolutely comfortable and well appointed. The restaurant is great as well. 5 stars.

Really lovely luxury property near Lake Garda with a one michelin star restaurant on site. Upon arrival we were treated beautifully by the staff, after driving up the stunning driveway, they came and got us from the parking in a golf cart to take our bags and selves to check-in. The suite was not ready, but we went to have lunch in the outdoor, more casual restaurant. It was good, some nice dishes and solid wine made on property - I personally enjoyed it a lot, not gourmet - but that was saved for dinner.||We were escorted to our room after lunch and it was quite nice, large suite with a beautiful shower and nice tub. We then went swimming a bit later in the afternoon and hat a spritz - what views, it screams Italy!||The dinner was splendid and walking back slightly tipsy (or very) to our room was so much better than any other way of getting home after a fancy dinner. ||I wish we stayed longer, but we have many places to go - next time though I would! However, this stay wasn't without errors. The toilet paper holder in the room was slightly broken, there was no body lotion in the room, and there could have been more water readily provided to the room.

Do the cooking class experience with Paulo at Nonna’s house. It was amazing. And Paulo is simply one of the best human beings! We also did a full tasting of their estate wines and that was awesome too! Great location. Excellent service! Would come back here again for sure!

Our recent stay at this exceptional resort was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of refined luxury and attentive service. The private terrace provided a perfect spot for sunbathing, while the warm jacuzzi offered a soothing retreat after a day of exploration. The attention to detail in the room’s design and amenities ensured a restful and indulgent stay. Impeccable Service: The staff’s dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction.
