Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa Cabo San Lucas

"Set on the world-famous Médano Beach, Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa Cabo San Lucas has everything you would expect from one of the best resorts in Mexico. You know you've landed somewhere special the moment you enter the nine-story atrium lobby, with chandeliers and saltwater aquariums. The luxury continues in the 460 suites, which have stunning views of the Sea of Cortez and outdoor terraces or balconies. But the main draw here might be the Desert Spa, a 31,000-square-foot spa boasting hydrotherapy centers and a full-service beauty salon, and a menu that features every type of facial and massage you could imagine."

Excellent location to downtown, is walkable to outside food and another public beach. Room was not great, really humid. Towels never dried and our clothes felt damp. Experienced a leak in the ceiling during our stay. Loud neighbors can be heard easily. Did a sales presentation for free drinks and food. The coupons for cocktails were for very specific sweet drinks. You couldn’t sub them for just a shot. The bar/pool food wasn’t great and it was just the basic stuff. The restaurant down by the ocean was good, fresh fruit and yogurt was delicious. Esther was our favorite waitress. Super friendly and helpful. One adult pool only but it looked a bit gross on the surface. The beach was beautiful and we were able to go down a couple of times when the tide wasn’t all the way in. We wouldn’t come back.

A Truly Unforgettable Stay! We loved every second of our time at this incredible resort in Mexico! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcomed—kind, helpful, and always going above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect stay. The resort itself is absolutely stunning—immaculately clean, beautifully maintained, and you can tell the team works around the clock to keep it looking its best. The views were some of the best we’ve seen in Cabo, and the beach was clean, swimmable, and blessed with crystal-clear blue water. We also really enjoyed the dining options—every restaurant we tried was delicious, and the nightly shows were such a fun treat for the whole family. Poolside and room service were both top-notch, adding an extra layer of relaxation to the trip. Our stay exceeded every expectation—we fell in love with this place and can’t wait to come back!

The rooms are beautiful, but they need attention in cleanliness and maintenance (I have pictures, but I don'twant to gross anybody out). Some of the people are super nice and ready to help. Others tell you with a big fake smile they can't help, and don't point to the direction where the help might be. It felt like they were laughing at my face for my honey's handicapped needs instead of being understanding. Our services concierge wasn't very helpful. Besides that, the location is beautiful, the food is good and the drinks are great. The Taco/Steak House was the best part of the all-inclusive, along with the Sports Bar (drinks and service were flawless in these two places). Almost forgot, the trolley operators were super nice and helpful in answering questions about local gems.

Great place I enjoyed my stay, but service is god awful. I felt like I was waiting for drinks, food, room service doesn’t matter what it is you’re going to be waiting for an exponential amount of time. I would say the only fast service would be taxi service outside of the resort. Beautiful stay, pool gets a little crowded and definitely family friendly rather than chill and relaxing. Also if u pay for an all exclusive, you’re still cut off from “Premium” stuff around the resort super annoying premium food, premium drinks, premium seating. It’s all an inconvenience to the average vacationer. Overall I would give this place a 7.5/10.

Visited in December of 2024 and had such an amazing time. Beautiful views with lovely spacious rooms! Staff is top tier amazing and helpful/friendly. The food was also delicious from breakfast until dinner. We did the all inclusive and it was definitely worth it. endless food and drinks even in the pool! We were here for a wedding and it was BEAUTIFUL! room service was always great quick and thorough. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because they were doing construction the entire time we were there and it was pretty loud unfortunately starting super early but the add ons look like they will be awesome! Will definitely go back some day

Overall we loved the stay. Only reason for 3 stars is someone on the staff took my kids necklace, goggles, and life vest. They usually clean towels up before the evening by the pool…long story short, nobody knows where all the stuff went even though I know that it was taken by the staff along with my towels (towels were checked in by poolside attendant). Front desk says they don’t know anything. Poolside check-in says they don’t know anything. Overall cleanliness was great, general staff was great, but not impressed with management.

I stayed here in May just to relax and the place was decent but they are very disorganized when it comes to the “all inclusive part.” Waiters and managers will tell you something is included and at the end of your stay will act like they don’t know what they are talking about and managers disappear. We waited to speak to a manager before our departure but out of the entire resort, no manager was available. Unbelievable. I signed “corrected” bills and when I got home new bills were sent to my credit card company with all the extra fees. Do not stay unless you want to get robbed at plane site.

We stayed here assuming it would be a great experience. The pools were filthy, saw yellow foam floating on top of the water. Just filled with people with barely any room to enjoy. The staff kept calling our room randomly and knocking on our door. One guy brought us extra towels for no reason within 10 mins of checking into the room. The phones in the room are antique from the 90s and wifi is very choppy on both their public and private networks. If you're trying to get some work done don't rely on the wifi there. The rooms are decent however smells like mildew and mold, I am allergic to mold and my allergies started acting up. When we expressed our disappointment and told them we want to leave, they threatened to charge us $1000 extra for the stay since we did not "fulfill" our part by staying. I said we are leaving and that was that. Beware! Don't let them sell you on this place because they will scam you !
