Having left an outstanding 4* in Saline les Baines (Doudou Hotel) I expected something similar but was massively disappointed. Booked it as it mentioned jacuzzi/spa but checked in Sunday 230pm and was told it’s fully booked until Tuesday 4pm the day of check out. Did not find the reception staff genuinely friendly at all aside from Nicholas. There is no phone in room to contact reception, the restaurant appears to be permanently closed and there’s only deep fried ‘snacks’ & cold cuts or cheese at bar area. Manu at bar was exceptionally friendly and helpful though. Sunday everything is closed with few options - TV is small with no ‘smart’ capability so couldn’t connect to Netflix. Tea and coffee provided in room is awful, AC is extremely loud, extra toilet paper is stored in wardrobe and not in toilet area, no face clothes provided and the mattress/bed was uncomfortable. I did respond to the hotel questionnaire after check in to ask about all but they completely ignored it (maybe since it was in English?) so there is no point in completing it. The beachfront is constantly noisy like a nightclub 24/7 and there’s a lot of intimidating people around. Thankfully only stayed 2 nights and went to Cilaos for a day anyway as Saint-Pierre is definitely not the nicest base & this hotel may have been nice at some point but feels like it’s going downhill too. The only thing the area has going for it is the sunset and I would not recommend staying here otherwise.

The hotel was a delight. The welcome was warm, the communal areas are attractive and our room was extremely comfortable and well decorated. The shower was excellent, very powerful, and the aircon, which was very welcome, was very efficient. The location was perfect, very slightly set back from the road, with the beach opposite. Lots of restaurants in very short walking distance. We appreciated the car park. All in all couldn’t fault it and would certainly recommend it to anyone.

Very nice hotel right on the promenade and walking distance to many restaurants. Hotel and rooms have very unusual, but interesting and good, decor. Kind of "tropical-colonial", if I were to describe it. Reception is very helpful and speaks good English. Attractive "infinity"-style pool next to the bar. Bar / pool area nice place to relax for a sunset drink and they make the best negroni cocktail you've ever had!

The hotel is very nice and the staff are friendly. The rooms are OK. The major downfall for me is that everything is in French and the people at the restaurant can't speak any English, which makes it very difficult for a tourist to experience great service from the hotel. Let's see after my trip if the experience has changed .

Ideal location right opposite the beach, but a pity there is no parking space to unload your luggage. Other than this, we had a wonderful stay at Villa Delisle. The free on site parking is a great asset; another highlight was the delicious buffet breakfast.

We stayed for 4 nights on our honeymoon. The hotel itself is nice, close to the beach. When we arrived they offered a welcome drink free. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast quite good. However we were not satisfied with the cleaning (they cleaned the room once during our stay, when we asked for it), and also they mentioned the fact that the pool is closed only when we arrived, and did not offered anything to compensate it. The Spa part consists from a Jacuzzi and massauge, for which we needed a reservation and are not free. Also, there are no English menus for the restaurant/bar.

Staff good. Location brilliant. At night music can be annoying outside but still can sleep OK and due to the local can't be helped ( it's not too bad to stop sleep). Rooms are small and overpriced. Claims a 4 star but not even a dental kit, shampoo or conditioner available in the room. Signs of wear and age in the room I dont mind paying this price for hotels but this one is not worth the price.
