We had 2 superb days at their fabulous home. It is in Le Poel, the most interesting old part of dieppe. No tourists, but only a pleasant 10 minute walk to the restaurants and beach. The owner's house is a superb mansion and a lovely garden where you are welcome to sit. The rooms for guests are in 2 separate buildings in the garden. Very quiet , very secure , very tasteful, spacious and comfortable. The owners were exceptionally welcoming and our stay with them was the high point of out Normandy trip. I would go back there at the drop of a hat! We should have stayed for longer! Thank you having us.

Stayed here one night after having arrived with the 22:30 ferry from Newhaven. The place is very near the ferry port, but in a pleasant part of town. Our room had a fairly unusual configuration (shower + toilet below, bed above, so no sitting area), but the bed was good and there is a really nice garden just outside of the bedrooms. Hosts served an exceptionally good breakfast (croissant, bread, etc.) and were very prodigal with all kinds of useful advice about what to visit in the area (and on to Rouen, etc.). The man is a painter with a very nice flair; the woman is soft-spoken and extremely helpful too. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to return. Note: cash only!

Ignore those reviews that pick fault with elements of the decor or have misunderstood the welcome, if you want or need to stay in Dieppe, only stay here. It is absolutely excellent. Clarisse and Bernard are very generous and utterly fascinating hosts. The house is unique, the rooms comfortable and in amazing outhouses and the location is perfect. But breakfast is the best bit. All the guests sit together and talk and you’re genuinely welcomed into a home. We ended up tasting Sardinian meat and cheese over our breakfast as one of our fellow guests was from Sardinia. ||Wonderful, interesting people, fabulous, fascinating house. It’s a total privilege to be welcomed into such a place. If you want perfect bedspreads then go stay in an Ibis.

I spent 4 very relaxing days at Villa des Capucins and it was wonderful. The garden was a delight and a lovely oasis of calm for sitting with coffee or reading, or simply sunbathing. My accommodation was excellent. Very clean and comfortable with everything I needed. Agreed, there's no wifi or tv, but actually that was a blessing as for once I didn't spend my days distracted by nonsense! Pascale and Bernard were fantastic hosts and I was able to brush up my schoolday French quite adequately. Breakfasts were generous and typically French - breads, pastries, croissants and lots of coffee and jams. The best thing about the B&B though is it's only 15mins walk from the ferry terminal and about 10mins into the centre of Dieppe, where there's no shortage of shops, restaurants and markets ... and a huge beach area. Highly recommended if you want a few days to rest and relax!

this pension used to be a convent, and it retains that atmosphere of serenity. the rooms are in little miniature houses, with a door that goes straight outside to the garden. downstairs is a shower, toilet and hall, and you go up some stairs to the bedroom. the whole places feels like an oasis of nineteenth century peace in what is quite a busy port. The couple who run it are very hospitable, a lecturer and artist - and if you speak french they are very interesting. The breakfast was hearty with fine fresh bread and croissants and excellent coffee. It is well situated near the centre of the town and half an hour walk from the ferry, but on a quiet street. Dieppe is an interesting port, and it's pleasant to stroll around - Varengeville is worth visiting. next time we'd like to explore the countryside a bit more. we won't forget this place, and hope to return.

If you want a genuinely French experience within walking distance of the town centre this is a good bet. Pascale the owner is very friendly and informative. Breakfasts were fab with lots of choice of French breads and pastries. The garden was pretty and our little converted outhouses were private and had great charm. Not as spruce and modern in terms of fixtures and fittings as some other French B&Bs I've stayed in; our room was a little dark and the bedspread a little tired. ||||Good for location and French feel.

We arrived late at night from the ferry. This was the first night of our cycling trip to Paris and the owner was very friendly and stayed up to welcome us late at night. There was storage for our bikes which was one of the reasons why we chose this place. The rooms are in a pretty garden near the town centre. It is very quiet there despite the fact that it is near the centre and the port. The rooms are in small cottages in the garden. Ours had a double bed downstairs and two single beds on the first floor. There was also a bathroom and toilet on the ground floor.||Breakfast in the morning was delicious with fresh French bread and croissants. There was plenty to eat.||It is a pity we were only staying one night here. If we were to return to Dieppe we would definitely come here again.

We had a lovely stay at Villa des Capucins - unique and interesting place to stay. Breakfast was lovely in the main house full of interesting things. Bernard was lovely and gave us good recommendations for travel in Dieppe and beyond, well worth a visit.
