Villa il Poggiale

Beautiful hotel with exceptional service and ambience. We stayed for 8 nights while we toured Tuscany, and it was perfect. Location is great, near the town of San Casciano which has nice shops and restaurants and is easy to find. The hotel has a gorgeous pool and offers an honor bar in the lobby with water, soft drinks, wine, prosecco, and cocktail ingredients. Gorgeous sunsets every night and the restaurant serves free full hot breakfast every day and dinner from 7:30-9:00 with a delicious ala carte menu and wine list. We stayed in a junior suite which was delightful and had a large soaking tub as well as shower. Plenty of room to store all our clothes and a mini fridge. I had booked a massage ahead of time and it was one of the best I've ever had with Ileria. We walked the grounds one day and discovered beautiful olive trees and walking paths. We definitely recommend this hotel.

This beautiful villa is located in a lovely area. The room was spacious with good temperature as we did not need to use the AC in the hot Italian summer. Bed was comfy and we slept very well. Not the best sound insulation towards hallway, but there was no noise in the night disturbing us. The access to pool was easy with available shower and changing rooms near pool. Breakfast was good and so was the dinner (highly recommending the honey glazed Guinea fowl, absolutely delicious). Massimo, our waiter for the dinner, was very friendly and service minded. Would love to come back!

I had my dream Tuscan countryside experience at this villa! It was a peaceful escape from the city. The ambiance, the centuries old villa, and the amazing view were just some of the parts I can’t stop raving about! The pool was so nice to cool off in the afternoons and dinner at the restaurant was top notch. Reception was there to assist us with a taxi to a winery in Chianti. Anyone who wants to experience Tuscany away from the tourists and hustle and bustle I highly recommend staying here!

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. The stay was exceptional and we loved our time here. Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly and the accommodation itself was delightful. ||Great location for exploring either Florence or Siena and only an hour from Pisa airport. ||Food was excellent and was great to relax and have downtime by the pool. Can’t rate our stay high enough.

Great place to stay outside Florence, lovely staff and beautiful setting. Rooms are very comfortable. Pool is gorgeous. We enjoyed a great massage and lovely day of cooking!

We loved our 3 night stay! The staff was all very helpful and friendly, including providing great ideas before our stay. The setting is beautiful, the breakfast was wonderful, the pool was clean and refreshing, the rooms were clean and spacious. I have nothing but positive things to say about Villa il Poggiale and would recommend to anyone.

We just cannot say enough positive things about our experience at the Villa. Our room was beautiful and clean. Housekeeping does a great job. There is a great wine selection, the chef is outstanding and the pastry lady is phenomenal as well. All meals made from local produce, all delicious. We found this centrally located for the sights and sites we wished to see. We were treated wonderfully and enjoyed all the staff. Monica is exceptional! Thank you to all.

We spent 5 days at Poggiale and spent a fantastic time in this typical Tuscan villa with a very human dimension. A beautiful garden and an outstanding pool surrounded by olive trees offered true peace from the hassle of your day to day life. A special thank you to the staff that was outstanding and made us feel special.
