We have been coming here for years and love this resort! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. We had Alejandro as our server by the pool every day and he was fantastic! He was always very attentive and friendly. We also love the level of security, we feel very safe. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Exquisite accomodations! We felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. Bellmen and front desk staff are gracious and very helpful . We loved everything, especially the beautiful pool and pristine beach fronting the villa. We felt completely at home and all of the staff were absolutely polite and responsive. Excellent service from beginning to end. We will definitely be back!

What a fabulous resort. We never left from the time we arrived until we left for the airport at the end of our vacation. This resort has it all - loved the pool, and easy access to the beach. Restaurants were fabulous. Maid service and room service exceptional. Concierge and arrival staff super friendly, efficient, and courteous. We are coming back for more.

Jonathan was an excellent server he was so friendly and attentive and gave the best service! Paola and Michelle and the entire team were all on point making sure our large party of 16 was well taken care of. I would definitely recommend this to other friends and family if they are visiting Cabo!

Google
The whole Villa Groug here of 3 hotels is nice. We stayed at La Estancia and everything was pretty good except that it was a bit too quite. We were looking for a little bit of excitement at our resort and this one has owners that voted to keep it hush, hush going into the night. In this case I guess it was my fault for not knowing up front. If you want a very nice and quite place, this is it.

This resort has it all. Located on Medano beach…walking distance to fun bars and restaurants. Quiet, elegant resort with amazing amenities and top level services. Gym, spa, pickleball courts, grocery store and 10+ restaurants all inside. All inclusive option too. Large 1-4 bedroom suites available

We had a great experience at the Villa la Estancia- The service was fantastic! We had a great time lounging by the pool and the service Diego provided was excellent. From day 1 he remembered us and almost knew what we wanted to order before we did. I wish could give 6 stars for Diego.

Google
Overall good experience. We had some issues w plumbing and ac but it was fixed promptly. All inclusive options does not include drinks, its $30 per day for wristband and auto 15% tips after meals and drinks added to your bill at checkout.

Yelp
We booked through VRBO and loved our stay at our unit on the 6th floor with a beautiful ocean view. The staff was super nice and friendly. I do not have a single complaint at our staff. The pool and the spas were clean and always being adjusted to cater to the visitors. We did not get an all inclusive meals but ended up renting a car to drive around to get groceries and to eat out. Access to the beach here was easy and they have umbrellas and chairs to relax on the beach. There is a local grocery store and neighboring villas to visit and swim. There is a trolly that takes you around and if you eat at the carbon grill that was one of my best meals there!!!!

Yelp
I have had the pleasure of staying at the Villa la Estancia three times over the past 3 years. The hotel is in a great location - you can walk along the beach to restaurants near by, walk along the road to the marina or neighboring restaurants, or Uber conveniently to reach any spot. The hotel offers plenty of deliciously restaurants and has great poolside and beach views. We recommend Tomatillos or La Casona if you want to eat on the property. Additionally, the pool is peaceful and the staff are very friendly. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay somewhere quiet and serene in Cabo.

Yelp
Decided to book this resort because they offer a full kitchen and washer/dryer. Being a family of four, with a couple of teenagers, this is a great space for what we needed. Has a very serene, resort-feel to it, as opposed to a party-scene that other locations might have. This is one of three sister resorts, and is without a doubt, the best of the three by far. There are two levels of pools, and five spas. To get lounge chairs by the pool, you will need to claim your territory by 8 AM. We had no problem getting lounge chairs by the beach however. If booking waterssport excursions, I might suggest that you do so from the vendors down by the beach, rather than through the hotel. I don't have proof of this, but I feel like the hotel might charge a premium for the same exact experience. We booked jet skis through Aldo, who is one of the vendors on the beach, and paid $90 for a one hour jetski excursion, which was outstanding. The resort loungechairs are roped off from the rest of the beach. There is a serious undertow, so it will be very difficult for little kids. The view from the beach is spectacular, as you can see Cruise ships up close as well as luxury yachts. The restaurants on site are marginal, and our best meals were in town. We ended up walking to The Office, which is a beachside restaurant, and it took us about 15 minutes. Don't take a taxi into town, and instead call an Uber. Service level is high end, and the staff are super friendly and will greet you by placing their hand over their heart. Gym opens at 6 AM, and is surprisingly well outfitted. A hidden gem is the sauna, steam room, and Jacuzzi inside of the gym area. Our VRBO room, which had two bedrooms, and three full baths, was outstanding. The owners clearly take good care of the place, and the balcony offers an incredible view of the courtyard. I only wish that a housekeeper would have come at least one time during our five day stay. I don't think we would return because there are plenty of other places to explore, but I would certainly recommend to anyone who is looking for a comfortable, borderline, luxurious, beachside get away.

Yelp
It's a beautiful resort and hopefully others have had or will have a better experience. I jumped the gun when I posted on the first day of our trip. First day in Cabo, everything was going well. Second day onward, we had trouble getting into our room. Two rooms share a front gate before you can get to your hotel room. They were doing construction next door and for some reason, whenever the workers would open the shared gate, our key card would reset and would not open for us. We had the key card changed but still it would lock us out. Each day, we'd get locked out. Each day, we'd go back to the lobby and talk with concierge. On the third day, they told the workers to leave the gate ajar but they would continue to lock it. On our last day leaving, the gate finally opened and closed but we left at 7am. What a hassle! They did try to fix our problem but nothing worked. And everyday around 8-9am, we'd hear banging, so they should not put any guests next to a room that's being worked on! Sadly, I had to take a star from them. And the bathtub was not fixed. I had to place the plastic foot mat over the drain so I could have a bath. Minor inconvenience, but I got it to work for me. Also, to take taxi back and forth staying at a resort that isn't all inclusive can become expensive. And if you do pay for all inclusive, most of the restaurants are at their sister resorts, Palmar and Arco. There are no outside restaurants close by and you would have to walk pretty far. On the bright side, I got 15-18K steps each day by not cabbing it!

Yelp
My favorite resort in Cabo. Perfect for a family or friends vacation. Amazing service & accommodations. They have bigger rooms that are perfect for larger groups & families that feels just like you are renting a condo. Very safe, reasonably priced. They have a market on site for you to grab anything you might have missed. The pool is beautiful & there's lot of chairs you can sit at (on the beach as well). Many restaurants located here to choose from, swim up bar in pool. Can stroll into the town if wanted by taking a walk on the beach.

Yelp
Villa La Estancia is one of three Villa Group oceanfront properties. It is between Villa del Arco and Villa del Palmar. Villa La Estancia is the flagship property you really want to stay if you are over 40 and want a bit of luxury. Villa del Palmar seems to be more of a party property that is 100% hotel occupied. In contrast, both Villa La Estancia and Villa del Arco are both hotel and timeshare owner properties. However, you are able to use all three properties for dining. Villa La Estancia is absolutely beautiful and the rooms are spacious and both tastefully decorated and sparkling clean. You have the best view of the Arch from the hotel (the actual famous arch can only be seen from the water). The balcony in most cases are shared with a suite and so it is extra large for your use if the suite is unoccupied. It has a barbeque grill and large table with seating for 4. They provide L'Occitane en Provence toiletries in the bathroom. The closet contains 2 bathrobes and slippers for your use. The property is well-maintained and the nice part compared to U.S. hotels during covid, housekeeping still comes to change out the sheets and towels every day and there is turn-down service in the evening with bottles of water and mini-cookies. In my opinion, the inviting glimmering pools are much nicer at Villa La Estancia. There is a swim up bar that you can order food and drinks without ever leaving the pool. There is even a "grotto" in the adjacent pool. The deepest part of the pool is about 4 ft. The pool is steps away from the beach if you want to swim in the ocean or sit on one of the lounge chairs set up for property guests on the sand. The staff is friendly, attentive and very helpful. The team is certainly one of the best of any resort-type properties from the front desk (kudos to Karla), housekeeping (Alexandra), concierge (Isabella) to the restaurant personnel. La Casona is the primary restaurant at Villa La Estancia where breakfast is served daily that converts to a fine dining steakhouse in the evening. The Parrilla Grill at the pool is more casual dining for lunch and snacks. The food at all the restaurants within the three Villa properties are excellent! Depending upon on the number of days you are staying at Cabo and how adventurous you are, it may be more cost effective and more convenient to get the unlimited meal plan with your room. Needless to say, I loved Villa La Estancia in Cabo. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
My wife and I really enjoyed staying at this wonderful resort for our first time visiting Cabo San Lucas. First of all this resort is very clean. The staff is ultra friendly and bends over backwards to make you feel welcome. The suite we reserved ( ocean view) had a wonderful view of the amazing pool and the ocean. The La Carsona restaurant is definitely one of the better restaurants in Cabo. We ate breakfast there every morning as well as a dinner and the food excellent. I'd recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation experience in a well run top notch resort.

Yelp
Great to be back to this beautiful place. This place is magical with a beautiful view of the ocean and boats. The staff is great.

Our room was w VRBO but the location, service, and staff were amazing at the resort. 100% will come back. Great for families and Spring Break crews! Property was clean, pools were amazing. Great time.

Yelp
Amazing hotel, dare I say even better than our experience at Hilton Hawaiian Village & Resort. We were there for almost a week during the 3rd week of December 2020 -- best Christmas ever. Every staff I met here put service as their top priority. Everywhere I looked, staff were cleaning or maintaining the property. Not one staff walked by without sincerely greeting me. I think the hotel was only at about half capacity so it made our entire stay very enjoyable. I can imagine it feeling overcrowded though if it was at max capacity. The beach was conveniently located within steps off the hotel's pool. The fitness center was the best facility I've seen at any resort. We got our deal from Costco. It was a beautiful fully equipped 1 bedroom suite with a full kitchen and all the amenities you could need, along with a washer and dryer. They have a resort market within a short walking distance where you can stock up on a few pantry essentials. We enjoyed a large balcony that had breathtaking views of the beach and gorgeous sunrise/sunsets. All of their bedding was comfortable, including their sofa pullout. I liked the bathrobes as an extra touch of luxury. A shame we only got to use the jacuzzi once in the master bath! The accessible beach has very calm warm waters, although the abundance of people constantly walking up and down the beach line trying to sell you goods and services ruined a bit of the experience. There is a 5 star restaurant on site with amazing service and food but it is quite the expensive treat. There is also a local trolley that takes you from one end of the resort to the other but honestly that's more for just the novelty of a cable car. You can easily walk the entire resort in under 5 minutes. You can rent a car on site and we did that for 2 days for about $180 but you can also walk into town for local restaurants if you want to get off the resort. The streets are fairly walkable or you can walk along the beach to the Marina in about 20 minutes. We never rode the bus but it seems like there's a local bus stop where all the hotel staff board at the beginning and end of their shifts. Everything about this resort reflected their goal to put their guests enjoyment as top priority. We even got a daily 9pm cookies and bottled water delivery. I don't know if I can find another resort that'll ever compare to Estancia!

Yelp
Be careful to check your billing, they overcharge for everything! Don't ask valet for a taxi because the prices are inflated by 500% call for Uber. Don't use the spa unless you're paying cash, what they quote is not what they actually charge you!

Yelp
Great Resort and nestled in the middle between El Arco and La Palmar. There is a market and several restaurants spread between the three properties. Several pools and of course a long stretch of beach with umbrellas. Gabino and Rogelio are the guys to get a hold of if you want to do yours or massages. There office is on the beach right outside of Estancia. Massages are a walk down the beach to the north side and for an hour it's $40. You can really get in a anytime and right next door to the massages are some restaurants but the one to the right of it sells Coconuts with Rum or Tequila in it. Ask for a good rum though otherwise it's cheap liquor. Oscar and Luis are excellent door men who carry your luggage up to your room. Make you margaritas and guacamole and bring homemade tamales. The resort allows children, but the Palmar caters to children more and that was great because I didn't want to be around a bunch of children. Aldair and Alexandro are excellent servers as well. This resort is a cashless resort and you leave a card on file and pay your tab when you check out.

Yelp
Where do I even begin? This place is absolutely gorgeous. Everything from the beautiful rooms with their wrought iron gates and tiled entryway to the sparkling pools and the Sandy beach right down the steps. The service is incomparable. Everyone was kind and friendly. From the bellman to the concierge, every member of the staff was attentive and more than willing to go above and beyond.

Yelp
Just returned from Cabo and stayed at La Estancia again. Service was great (ex. Housekeeping, concierge, bell hops, La Parilla etc) and our stay was peaceful and perfect. The villas are well maintained and the grounds are immaculate. Staying here is a must for us when we are in Cabo!

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE !! STOLEN CASH by Staff !! We arrived Thursday afternoon, we were offered the 90 min. Presentation on Friday morning. So we decided to have dinner at La casona $$$$ Fine dining Steak house at the resort (which is not worth eat at) and called it a night. Sober mind you Friday morning we leave for the presentation and within that 90 min. window, room service came to clean our room and my cash was gone from the table ( $103 - $100 bill and 3 $1 folded with the ones facing up). I was kind about making a report said " I understand if they thought it was tip that's understandable but, I would like my money back. They claimed they did an investigation, and tried to blame it on another VIP guest we were staying with, after that I never hear from them the rest of our trip! No follow up, no offers to ease the loss, no courtesy call. I didn't want the loss to ruin my trip as I was with 3 other friends but that should NEVER happen to a VIP guest at a 5 star $$$$ Resort !!

Yelp
This place is breathtaking! We stayed here Mid August, yes during the pandemic, and wow, the place has been disinfected, clean, they're following all protocols. They had security towards the beach so I felt extremely safe! Loved having the pool open and the swim up bar that offered snacks and drinks! The rooms have beautiful views, clean, air conditioning was amazing. They only had 18% capacity so we felt we were the only ones in our building, the staff were helpful, spoke English and wore masks the entire time. It's part of three other resorts so when you're picked up by a taxi or dropped off they have to give your room number and how many guests made it feel super safe! I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

Yelp
Villa la Estancia ("VLA") is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! 1 bedroom suite with ocean view is a must. With all the sands, housekeeping did a wonderful job keeping the room clean and cool daily, and the individually wrapped cookie was a nice touch. The restaurant that outshined in all three resorts was La Casona. Food was absolutely delicious, staff was magnificent, and ambiance was simply perfect. We had dinner at La Casona four times because the food was great, staff was incredible, and it was very easy to get reservations. I wish we had this restaurant back in the Bay Area! Sadly, as much as I love VLA, the only downside was the amenities available. I had all-inclusive / full board (with meal plans). However, when I took my daughter to Villa del Arco, we were denied pool access. This is not what the agent advised when I booked my trip and that is not what is noted on VLA's website. Overall, the trip was absolutely spectacular! And the resort was on top of COVID guidelines. We definitely felt safe visiting.

Yelp
Do not book from agent www.cabolaestancia! Only book from hotel (Villa La Estancia). We rented Villa 3102 (beachfront 3 bedroom,4 bathroom) and upon our arrival all 4 bathrooms were backed up and sewage flowed from all the toilets, showers, tubs and flooded the floors. They pointed fingers at the hotel (Villa La Estancia) and finally moved us to an upstairs room that was dirty and snidely told us "Not to complain... and look out the window and enjoy the view from above." My elderly mother could not easily walk to the pool and had to spend much of the time in the room. They did move us back finally, but the hot water never worked in one of the showers. They never even offered to comp us or offer us drinks or a meal. The hotel and staff is nice. But do not book from www.cabolaestancia

Yelp
This place is amazing. Costco travel did not lie. Estancia is part of a three hotel campus about 2/3 of a mile from the hub of the Medrano beach scene. Close enough to walk and to have plenty of offers (but not too many) for boat rides, "cigars" and jewelry. Private beach area for hotel guests gives you a comfortable place to view the water without being overwhelmed by the foot traffic. Of the three Estancia is the quietest, least crowded, and poshest of them. If you are looking for music and lively crowds I'd look at Arco and if you are looking for more kid friendly then Palmar. Estancia is for those looking for wait staff who are ready with anything you might want and for large high end rooms (full kitchen) with lots of room to relax. Our fellow guests were generally in their 50s and largely fractional owners of the property. They also appeared to thoroughly enjoy being waited on, while it made us a little less comfortable. The drinks are delicious and the food is very good, if not typical for the area (fusion of American and Mexican). The guava mojito was particularly tasty. Two restaurants in the courtyard, the lunch place is a little spends for what you get, but good. The breakfast/dinner place is really good and reasonable priced in comparison to comparable places in town. Transport from the hotel is easy and interesting. If you are feeling adventurous the bus stops about a 2 min walk away. For a dollar you can go anywhere it goes. That said the places it will go are written on the window and without some research it's hard to know where you want to go ( beyond Walmart or Costco). The cabs are spendy but convenient. We spent 25 dollars for a round trip to Costco. (Best place to buy alcohol of any kind, but a little overkill for food for two). Hertz maintains an office on the campus and for about 60 a day you can rent a car. We opted for walking to Medrano and the Marina via the beach. It took about 20 min to get to the Marina, but it was free and it was beautiful. If you want a bumping party or a beach free of any people whatsoever than look elsewhere. If you want a quiet pool an amazing view a walkable trip to town and some foot traffic past your beach chair than this place is perfect. Highly recommend for recent empty nesters who want to not worry about a thing but what fun food to try or which boat tour to take while they enjoy the sea and an exception view of lands end.

Yelp
It pains me to write this review, but after this past week at Villa La Estancia, I couldn't leave my original 5 star review up without an update. We checked in on July 20th at around 1:30pm. Upon check in, we were told our room wasn't ready, so we went to La Parrilla for lunch, hoping our room would be ready by the time we were done. Not the case, which was fine. We sat in the lobby for about an hour and a half waiting for our room, all while watching other people being escorted by the bellman to their rooms. At around 3:45, we asked if our room was ready and we're told "not yet." At 4:00, we asked again, since they said it would be ready by 4:00. At that point, we were told it would be even longer since the housekeeper wasn't done cleaning. By this point, I'm angry. Having been up since 2:00 am and really wanting to take a nap before our 6:00 dinner reservation, I wasn't having it anymore. I asked to speak to the supervisor. Gustavo came over and basically told us in a nice way that we're out of luck and just need to wait cause the hotel is at 80% capacity. We got a pretty lame apology and he went on his merry way. FINALLY, our room was ready at like 4:15ish. The bellman takes us to our room, which I think was 1309? Upon walking in, I noticed that it was barely an ocean view room. It was more a lawn view room with a hint of ocean somewhere off to the side. I wasn't impressed with the view or the furnishings of this room, which looked like it hadn't been updated for a long time. It was gross. We called the housekeeper to come set up the sofa bed. She came right up, and took the bed out of the sofa, only to realize that the sofa bed base was completely broken. The metal was totally snapped and it was unusable. She couldn't even get it back into the sofa. It took 2 maintenance men 15 minutes to finally get it back in. At this point, I'm fuming because, what the hell? They offered a rollaway bed, which I declined and told them I wanted to change rooms. They said housekeeping was cleaning it and we couldn't switch til 6:00pm. Ugh!!! So we had them change our reservations at La Casona to 6:30. The bellman was supposed to come up at 6:00pm, but by 6:15, he still wasn't there. So we dragged our luggage down to the lobby and told them we were going to dinner and we asked them to watch our stuff while we ate. So we go to La Casona, which by the way, was amazing when we went in December 2019. This time, not so much. My husband said his steak tasted like it was deep fried. As a family who eats a ton of red meat quite frequently, this was disappointing. He said it was one of the worst steaks he's ever had. Really sad and bummed out by this. My Caesar salad tasted fine, but it was warm. My daughter didn't care for her food either. We totally understand that we're dealing with a pandemic, but the food has really gone downhill. The whole reason we opted for the all inclusive package was for the steakhouse, which we only went to once this trip, because it wasn't good anymore. After dinner, we went to the lobby to get our new room keys. They said our luggage was already there and the housekeeper made the sofa bed already, which we appreciated. The bellman took us to our new room, which was leaps and bounds nicer than the original room. This time we were in 2601 with a beautiful ocean view. All seemed good til we got into bed. Omg. The mattress has literally never been turned, flipped, changed...nothing. The springs were completely shot and we were both sinking into the bed as it concaved in. Needless to say, we didn't sleep well the whole time we were there. Awesome. This place needs to check the rooms before they rent them out to ensure that the quality is to the standards for which they are charging. To spend over $400 a night for a bed that was sinking was unacceptable. And to be given a room with a broken sofa bed was also unacceptable. The batteries and cover for the dvd remote in our new room were missing in the bedroom, so even if we wanted to watch a movie, we couldn't. Oh, and the battery in our door died, so my husband couldn't get into our room after breakfast to use the restroom, and he had to go back down to the lobby to request the maintenance guy to fix it and also fix the toilet in the living room cause it wouldn't flush properly. There were just so many things that went wrong during our stay, that I can't even go into them all and I'm tired of typing this review. Needless to stay, we will be canceling our December trip that is already booked. I just can't see spending that much money to be annoyed and uncomfortable all week. It breaks my heart, because all we did was rave about this place to everyone and we were so beyond excited for this past week. Now we can't go back anymore. We were really looking forward to our December trip too. Super bummed.

Yelp
Never wanted to leave the resort. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Miss it already Update: Wow ! Second time going and loved every second of it. Francisco at the pool bar is a phenomenal bartender. Remembered us from our previous visit months ago and took care of us everyday when we were down there. Can't wait until our next trip there!

Yelp
Came here for a bachelorette party and the bridal party booked this place on Air BnB. Check-in appeared easy and the staff was super helpful, taking our bags to the rooms and getting our cars fairly promptly from valet parking. We booked a whole apartment end-unit, so we had a two bedroom, three-full bath apartment with full kitchen, and next door was another 1-bed room unit with a hot-plate/microwave situation. The units were not connected, but they shared a common gateway, so it felt connected to us (you just had to go through the outdoor foyer for a second to reach the other unit). Both units had lovely views of the ocean and the arches. We had maid service every day and by day two we had finally gotten the hang of climate control (our room was freezing the first night and we didn't have enough blankets). All the couches pulled out so we actually had tons of room. I ended up sleeping on a sofa bed which was in bad condition, so decided for night 2 and 3 that I would just sleep on the couch itself. Because we had a kitchen, we had two dinners and all breakfasts at the hotel. Really enjoyed our stay. Very nice property and we enjoyed the pool bar. We didn't see any of the other resorts, but we were off site most of the time. The property is located on the northern end of the downtown strip and is a short drive from Costco and Wal-Mart (do not condone going there usually, but options for shopping are limited). Each of us paid about $250 for 3 nights (9 paying guests). We had ten people in our party and made do with sharing the queen sized beds and sofa couches. I think we could have added a few more as there was a very large couch in the living room, but we were all very comfortable. Bathrooms were immaculate and there was even a washer/dryer and plenty of staples from parties past. Wifi available on the property too.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here a couple weeks ago. Staff is overly annoying about wearing a mask in the lobby which really sucks when you have to walk through the lobby to get to your car every single time and multiple times a day. The villas are spacious, but smell old and mildew-y. I'm currently pregnant and when we went to their gym, the young girl at the front desk rudely and loudly asked me if my "doctor approves of me exercising pregnant." Excuse me?!!! Can you train your employees not to ask rude questions? I don't need my doctor's approval to stay active thank you very much, but if I did and my doctor said I couldn't exercise then I wouldn't at AT THE GYM NOW WOULD I?! I'm never staying here again.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel w/ a gorgeous view of the beach and Land's End. The resort has everything you need - quick transportation, in room chef for a relaxing culinary experience, activities and grub on the beach, and more. We had a 2 bedroom villa equipped w/ 3 bathrooms. Spacious and clean w/ a balcony for our ocean view. It was quite lovely. Upon arrival, they had a chef who made us apps and drinks. Even offered to go to the market for us if we wanted something specific. I gave the guy $60 USD and we got some chocolate and about a dozen cans of coconut water. My change was $4 USD. Hmmm...a little fishy. Anyways, loved the bellman. He was able to score me a split taxi ride w/ other guests to the airport since I missed the shuttle. Thanks for saving me $40 on that $80 USD cab ride. He's great. For my 3 night day stay (the other girls stayed for 4), they only did room cleaning for 1 day. All in all...would be back.

Yelp
I usually rent a bottom flow suite. Patio looks out to the pool and the beach. Family loves it and I love the bar in the pool.

Yelp
This resort is beautiful! The pools are perfect and the location on the beach is fantastic! We loved that we had both rooms so our balcony was all ours and it was huge and directly across from the pool in the bottom floor. It was so nice being able to walk into our gated balcony from the pool and get drinks we had in the outside mini fridge! The only reason I have it a 4 star I stead of 5 is because of the man we spoke to right at check in. They told us he was going to show us a map of the resort and tell us how to get around which was great. After showing us the map of the resort he immediately began trying to sell us various adventures we could go on. After being awake and traveling we didn't want to plan anything right then and said no thank you. He then said, "ok but don't tell me no and then go buy these packages from someone else!" As soon as we declined to buy from him he started having an attitude and was rude. He was the only rude staff in the entire resort and the only negative experience we had during our week long stay. His name is Francisco or Fran. My only advice is to avoid that guy and talk to all the other wonderful, friendly, and accommodating staff they have there! Can't wait to go back to this resort!!!

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. It had a beautiful view. The staff was very friendly. Our room was clean and the staff left us cookies and water bottles in our room everyday. They had COVID testing on-site. The food and drinks were great! 10/10 I do not have any complaints. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Yelp
Place is trash. Sales people are rude and called us "rich and famous" cause we denied one of their sales package. It was ridiculous and a waste of time. DO NOT recommend staying here. They promise you something and they don't fulfill what they said!!!!!

Yelp
This is one of the best vacations we've ever had. The resort is immaculate, the staff is extremely friendly, the pools are great! We stayed 9 days in June. The weather was hot and humid. But that's what We love for vacation! The food was perfect. We couldn't ask for a better vacation. For our family of 4.

Yelp
This place is absolutely stunning inside and out. We stayed in a 2 bd 3 ba with a great view and a lovely kitchen. They also had an onsite fitness studio where they give you a bottle of water and a towel each time (forgot to bring a water with me the first time so this was a nice surprise). There is a swim up bar with great Bloody Mary's and 5 hot tubs all with great views! All of the employees are incredibly friendly as well! On the last night, I lost my sunglasses and had not realized until the next morning when we were leaving. When we were checking out, we asked if someone had turned them in and they called around to check. They were a pair of real Ray Bans so I thought they were long gone, but one of the employees had found them and brought them up to us before we left! Definitely made my last day go from kind of bummed out to have lost my glasses and to be leaving to being a very happy camper!

Yelp
Alberto was so great!!! Thank you for the excellent service! Pedro and Alfredo were also great. I just wanted to say what a hero Deivi at the pool was today 8/9/21. Our unit is 1402 and while I was sitting on the deck looking out over the pool this morning, I saw a baby boy fall into the water after his mother walked away and left him alone. Although it was only for a few seconds, Deivi did not hesitate and ran as fast as could and dove into the pool and saved the little boy. It was selfless act and had he not been so quick to respond, this could have been an unnecessary tragedy. Deivi is a great employee and we're all lucky he's around!

Yelp
Please do not waste your vacation time or money at any of their resorts. Prior to coming to the resort, I received an email from concierge Samantha asking if we wanted reservations, I submitted a request and, never heard a word back. At check in, we were assured we'd get a call when our room was ready. 5 hours later we hadn't heard a word and went up to lobby. Our stuff was in the middle of lobby, no one around and when I asked if the room was ready, got handed my card and pushed out. No map of the resort, no going over their too strict rules. Air conditioning didn't work in either bedroom, which meant no privacy since doors had to be kept open to try to get airflow. After reviewing all of their rules, we found out you can't have speakers of any kind, can't sit in pool chairs until after 8am, couldn't have a cooler anywhere but beach forcing you to buy their extremely overpriced drinks. We bought a food package and half the restaurants were absolutely terrible. They even charged us for things that were included in our package. Upon check out, I only received an invoice of total charged at each place. When I requested an itemized receipt was told it was against the rules and they don't do that and that's why they tell you to keep your receipts (cause I totally have a dry spot in my bathing suit to do that). No where in the ridiculous rules does it include a statement of having to keep your receipts. Which if someone spouts off a random room number or mistakes are made, the customer has no way to verify charges. I asked to speak with manager and was told that she did not come in until over an hour after we had to leave. Employee assured me she would email it to me, and an email has never been received. Beware, they very well could be stealing money from you, but no way to tell because they don't have the integrity to provide detailed invoices of charges.

Yelp
Wanna stay at a place where the staff complain more than the guests? This is your place. If you're staying here I'd recommend you don't do these things: 1) drink (anything with ethanol) 2) talk 3) listen to music If you don't like any of those things, then definitely stay here! You'll have a blast.

Yelp
Four stars because the Internet sucks here. Otherwise service and people are great. It's right by the beach and you can enjoy a brisk walk by the beach as well.

Yelp
Beautiful friendly very clean well kept place. Staff very nice friendly and prompt professional. Rooms very comfy and very clean. Like spotless. Leave the room and can they tidy up! The housekeeping is TOP NotCH! I watched one lady scrub every inch of the patio area outside, I'm not kidding every inch of railing wiped down! Super! Highly recommend! The marina area is about 25 minute walk.

Yelp
Our stay was Nov 1-5. Reservation consisted of 2 2 bedroom suites. My side of the family plus my in laws, and 2 small children (1 & 3) were on vacation together. We took part in the full board meal plans (food and soft drinks included, no alcohol). The resort itself is amazing. I have no complaints with the staff or food. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we really never left the resort. The food at La Casona was delicious, but we also enjoyed the food at any restaurant we ate at at each of the 3 resorts. We had a private sunset dinner on the beach and Rogelio provided excellent service. It was definitely the quieter resort compared to Villa Del Arco and Villa Del Palmar. Loved this resort compared to the others and we felt like we had the pool to ourselves and the swimmable beach access was so convenient. Villa Del Palmar was like a party every time we went during the day. Loud music playing and pools were super crowded. The rooms themselves were SO spacious and the full kitchen was a plus. The balconies are AWESOME. The views are spectacular. The extra $2 I had to pay for room service was a bummer, but it was also pretty minimal so we didn't mind. So why the two stars?! BEWARE! When I placed my reservations months before, I paid a deposit for the 2 rooms. When I checked in, the credit card I used for the deposit was different than what I had to pay the balance with so they charged the full amount to the new card and told me they'd refund me my deposits to the old card. I was hesitant but I really just wanted to start relaxing so I agreed. 4 weeks after my vacation, I still have not received my refund. I have called and emailed countless times for 3 weeks and while every person I speak to re-reads my situation in notes to my account, I get no real confirmation the refund is processed. I've been told twice the refund was processed and they'd follow up with a receipt except there is no follow up. I called again today only to be told that my refund was never processed and they'll process it tomorrow when the accountant gets in. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Unprofessional and unacceptable by all standards. I now have a large balance on my credit card! I wish this never happened because I truly loved the resort and wanted to go back soon after a pleasant experience. But the post vacation experience has been completely exhausting and frustrating. If anything, make sure you have the same exact credit card when you pay the deposit and balance. I happened to have a different card number because the one used to pay for the deposit had identity theft issues, unfortunately, and was switched out.

Yelp
A bit confused by any negative reviews because this place is BEYOND OUTSTANDING!!!! The manager Julio has gone out of his way to make this an incredible stay for my family and I and this is only day two of our trip! Even a slight mixup when we checked in which was Groupon's fault was handled with class and grace. The grounds are immaculate the room is incredible view is second to none the food is wonderful and the atmosphere is everything a resort should be. Even the pool water is capped at the perfect warm temperature!Anybody who gives this place a negative review needs to focus on how fortunate they are to be here. We have seen a few of the other hotels that are near here and nothing compares to Villa Estancia! If you want to be surrounded by first class amenities, exceptional staff, and even great clientele, this is the place for you.

Yelp
Villa La Estancia: This resort is AMAZING!!! The service, staff, food and gorgeous views of the famous arch is hard to beat! I think the service is better than Four Seasons at a fraction of the cost.

Yelp
I travel to Mexico every year. This was probably the worst experience I have had going to Mexico. The management at the hotel was so incredibly rude and unfriendly and dishonest that I would never go back to this hotel even if they gave it to me for free. It was not disclosed to us that this is an equity hotel. We travelled with my whole family and were unable to get two rooms in close proximity to one another. Senior Management was even more rude to me and my family then were the staff at the front desks. The hotel itself is quite lovely but it is which was not worth the experience and cost.

Yelp
Nice property with beautiful view of the ocean. Going for the all inclusive option made this place awesome. While the food and drinks weren't anything to write home about, they were good enough. Service was okay. Reservations weren't fully honored at the times we booked -- that's my biggest complaint. You could easily spend a few days here and have a great time.

Yelp
My friends and I stayed here for 4 days and this is honestly where you need to be if you want a relaxing vacation. The resort is beautiful, the staff is super friendly and helpful and the food. THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS! The breakfast was amazing (room service we got French toast, the healthy breakfast and the American breakfast.) Everything was perfectly made and delivered to us fairly quickly. You should also try their shrimp tacos, they are super flavorful. Lastly, the margaritas are the best I've ever had!! Try to mango blended or strawberry blended! I would definitely stay here for my future visits

Yelp
THE HUSTLE! My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary in Cabo San Lucas, staying for 8 nights at the Villa La Estancia. The resort is gorgeous! The grounds are very well maintained, the rooms are comfortable and well decorated, and the staff are very nice and accommodating.  Having said that, we will not book any resort in the future in Cabo San Lucas, through any booking service such as Expedia or Trip Advisor or the resort directly. We will only book through an owner so we know what we are getting!  I booked and paid for our stay in October thru Expedia, 6 months in advance of our stay. I reserved a room with a King size bed and ocean view. Three weeks prior to coming to Cabo, I called Expedia to verify our reservation. I was informed that we were in a room with two queen beds and no idea of what the view was. Expedia said they would send a note to the hotel advising them off my request for the King bed. Expedia said they were going to also send a $50 food and beverage credit to the hotel for the mess up for us to use. Upon arriving, we had no food and beverage credit and we were booked into a room with two queen beds with a garden view, however for an additional $500+ dollars we could have the room I had originally reserved for 7 of the 8 nights. I reluctantly paid because this was our anniversary. On our 2nd night at the resort while sitting in one of the jacuzzi's, we met a couple from Colorado who had reserved a room directly with the resort. They had reserved a room with two queen beds only to arrive and learn they had a room with a King bed. They were offered a room with two queen beds for...$500! Did I mention they arrived the same day that we did? The morning we left, I overheard a lady in La Casona talking on the phone to someone back home. She had also experienced the exact same hustle I did where she had to pay $500 for the "upgraded room" that she booked to begin with. I don't like being hustled like this! But it doesn't end there... When I had called to confirm my reservation with the hotel directly, I asked if there was a coin operated laundry. I was told there wasn't one, so we packed two suitcases instead of one. La Estancia sits in between their sister resorts, the Palmar and Los Arcos. There is a coin operated laundry available for use by any guest of the three resorts at the Palmar, but bring your own supplies! I had to pay $16us for a box of 40 Bounce sheets and $14 for the tokens to complete two loads of laundry.  Everything here is very expensive and borders on being extremely expensive. Word to the traveler, pay the $18 RT taxi fee and go shop for everything you need at the super Wal-Mart nearby. Everywhere we turned, it seemed we were being scammed by someone whether it was someone at the resort or the taxi drivers. A good piece of advice is to always carry pesos and dollars everywhere because the exchange rate varies from business to business (+/- $7mx) and they don't like giving change, so pay exact amounts requested. It helps to have increments in $10us and $50mx. There are some great restaurants in Cabo and the resort but your money will go farther the more you spend off-site. For example, the resort exchange rate is $17 pesos for every dollar. When you get downtown, you can usually get $22 pesos for every dollar. At check in, the concierge advised us that if we sat thru a two hour condo sales pitch, we could get a $100 food & beverage credit and a $100 credit on our room upgrade. In addition, they would give us a gold card which would give us a 15% discount at all restaurants and businesses operating within the three resorts. I shouldn't have to sit thru a sales pitch to receive a reasonable price. My wife and I frequently visit the beaches in Mexico for vacation. We learned that we will continue to visit our favorite destinations in the hopes that they don't become the tourist trap that Cabo San Lucas and the Villa Resorts are.

Yelp
We just returned from a week long vacation to Cabo. We spent the week at the Villa La Estancia in a two bedroom suite. It was an awesome experience, well worth the price. The room was spacious, clean and provided all the amenities of home! With two young girls, 11 and 9, we spent most days at the pool. The service team at the pool was great! Maria was awesome!! We sat on her side of the pool everyday simply because she was friendly, attentive, helpful and good to my girls. Maria, Thank you for making our trip a success. We hope to come back next year!

Yelp
Villa La Estancia: Condo 1807 After reading all the positive reviews about this condo I figured we couldn't go wrong and decided to book our week long vacation. All the reviews are right on point. The condo was clean, well stocked, and exceeded our expectations, BUT I also find the need to warn others of our very unfortunate experience. On two separate occasions "someone" came into our condo and stole money from our bedroom. The first time it happened (we were all at the pool) my husband was missing a one hundred dollar bill. We didn't report it because my husband thought it was his fault since he left his wallet out on the dresser (no one was scheduled to clean our room until the next day). We decided we were going to be a little more careful so we set up the in room safe and put all of our valuables in it including the rest of our money. I want to point out there was a woman in hotel uniform who came into our condo while we were there and she was surprised when she saw my mom in the living room (my toddler was napping so we were all at the condo). Maybe she wasn't expecting anyone to be there? She claimed she was there to take out the trash, but in the 4 days that we had been there no one had come to throw out the trash before. The next time we opened the "SAFE" all of our money was gone. At this point we went to reception to report it and it was totally pointless. Hotel Management claims our safe cannot be opened without resetting the password code, but I don't believe that is entirely true. Someone who has access to the key for these lock boxes opened our safe and took the money. Money doesn't just disappear into thin air. Hotel Management also ran a report on who accessed our condo using the key cards and guess what? No one other than our party accessed our room. It seems a bit convenient they were having "issues" with the card reader and they were having trouble pulling the report. In the end we were not allowed to view this infamous report and nothing was resolved. The property manager appointed by the condo's owner was not much help either. Initially when we told the property manager about the maid accessing our room without it being scheduled he was surprised and turned to Hotel Management like he was looking for an explanation as to why this happened. Later when I said my mom could probably identify the maid if she saw her again the property manager changed his story and said he had sent the maid to take out the trash. When we returned home and I contacted the owner who was very surprised this had happened. He immediately offered to reimburse us for the money that was taken and he is flying into Cabo this weekend to get this sorted out. We both agree this is not good for business.

Yelp
I just had to leave a review here to sing the praise of our wedding coordinator, Rocio Avalos. We were married this past February on the beach in front of Los Arcos. I was beyond please with the way everything turned out--it was far better than I could have imagined, nothing short of beautiful. Rocio took care of every detail, making sure our special day was perfect. She didn't miss a beat! To top it off, this resort (Villa Estancia) is gorgeous! Our room was perfect, beautifully decorated and convenient for families. Our teenaged sons had the room adjacent to our suite. If you are looking to have a destination wedding, do not hesitate to consider Villa Estancia. Rocio won't let you down.
