Villa La Quercia Positano

We really enjoyed our stay. The view is very beautiful and every day they provide you with a basket with various pastries and any type of coffee you like. It is in Nocelle which is 25 minutes by public transportation from Positano center. If carrying heavy luggage it is complicated because from the last bus station to the place is like 10 minutes with a lot of steps, but I think it’s worth it. The view is amazing, worth every step. If possible don’t miss a chance to walk down to Positano using the stairs, also an exciting and fit experience.

My boyfriend and I visited the Amalfi Coast in September and had the most amazing stay here. We were so glad we chose to stay here, outside of the busy Positano town. The B&B staff were amazing and very kind and helpful. There are also two amazing restaurants that we ate in in the town of Nocelle, very close to the B&B - |Rifugio Dei Mele and Santa Croce. These were by far our two favourite restaurants that we ate on the Amalfi coast.||The hotel is located very near the Path of Gods, which is a lovely hike with amazing views. We only did part of it, but would recommend it. We walked down to Positano one data from the hotel, which was long but there is also a local bus service that runs up and down from Nocelle to the centre on Positano. ||One of my favourite things was having breakfast each morning at the B&B and having this on our balcony, with the amazing views from our room. It was easily the most scenic and beautiful hotel I have stayed in.||Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet escape from the business of Positano while still being accessible to the town.

We had the best time! Carmela and her husband were so helpful. From the minute we arrived in Positano she told us where to go, which bus to catch and when the next bus was. When we got to Nocelle she had a fresh lemon drink waiting for us, which was very much needed after a very twisty bus ride. When we arrived at the Villa, Carmela explained a few things to us including breakfast. Breakfast was lovely, and more than we could manage, we also had a cappuccino every morning which was delicious! The room was spotlessly clean and came with the most amazing views I’ve ever seen! We had a brilliant time here and would definitely stay here again if we come back to this area! Couldn’t have asked for a more friendly host! Thank you Carmela! ❤️

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in the Amalfi Coast. Carmela was a wonderful hostess! Our room was always clean, and every room has a sea view with its own balcony! The breakfast was amazing, lots of food, and even snacks that we took with us for our hikes during the day! Villa la Quercia is located in the mountain, and is a fun walk down to Positano (lots of stairs!), but if you don’t want to do the stairs, the buses are very easy and frequent. I loved the quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of Positano, it really gives you the best of both worlds. Completely and highly recommend Villa la Quercia for any stay near Positano, we loved it!!

Villa la Quercia was an absolute dream to stay at. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon. The rooms are spacious and tidy. The balcony is big enough to sit out on and enjoy the ridiculous view of the coast (no picture can do it justice!). The daily breakfast was simple but very nice and sitting out on the main deck was such a great way to start the day. The wifi only works in the common area and not in the rooms which was a bit annoying. The rooms have ceiling fans but no air con, which was fine for our stay in late May, but I imagine in mid-summer it would get a bit hot. ||||It is important to note that Nocelle is NOT in Positano although it is easy enough to get there. There is a regular bus which takes you down, it costs 1.5 euros each way and you can buy the tickets at the local shop. It takes about 45 minutes to get down by bus. Or you can walk down (about 1700 steps, takes about 20 minutes). The walk down isn't too difficult and the views are spectacular. ||||Nocelle is a very quiet town, there is only one restaurant (it's fantastic!) and one small shop. Staying at Villa la Quercia was a great way to escape the craziness of Positano, it feels like a little sanctuary high above the Amalfi Coast. We would definitely stay again!

No air conditioner in rooms or downstairs, fans not great, shower head was broken and had to hand hold. Photos of breakfast included eggs etc, did not get that. Was said that accomodation to beach is 25 mins walk down or up stairs more so a 50-60 min intense walk up/ down stairs. Public transport okay but can miss buses because they’re full and have to wait another hour. Wifi only works downstairs in kitchen, no reception in bedrooms. However lovely owner with great instructions/ help and directions. Comfortable beds, great views. Lots of bugs at night, need bug repellent. Private taxi from airport to accomo €130-150 pre booked. I recommend booking a transfer through “my day trip”, only €41 one way.

My wife and I spent three nights here and loved every second of it. It takes some doing to find the place and actually get too it but the views and the quiet make it so worth the effort.||If you are driving, which I don’t recommend, but Nocelle in your GPS and park when you get there. From there there are about 40 steps down, then a long walkway, then another 20 steps down. Remember, you need to climb those every time you leave. ;)||Our hosts were absolutely lovely and he makes the best Cappuccino we have ever had. The breakfast is great. The rooms are spacious and all have a terrace looking out over the Mediterranean...3000 feet in the air.||You can take the bus to and from Positano, buy your tickets at the little market in Nocelle, you’ll pass it on your way to the B&B.||There is also an amazing restaurant with the same view and incredible food. Also an outstanding wine list.||If you are going to the Amalfi Coast, I would recommend this place for sure.

This place may be hard to get to but well worth the stay. Stunning views across Positano and the Amalfi Coast. Quite an interesting climb up the mountain plus a donkey to get our luggage to the door but the place is spectacular. Spotlessly clean and quite sizeable rooms, with a lovely breakfast on the terrace. Great value for money. Only one restaurant in town but the food was amazing!!!!
