Villa La Valencia Beach Resort & Spa Los Cabos, México

We had a great time overall and would rate our stay 4/5 stars. The staff is genuinely friendly, the service (especially room service and the steakhouse) is excellent, and the resort is very clean. The pools and lazy river are fantastic, even our two-year-old loved floating through it, and the location is amazing. One of the highlights was seeing whales right from a beachfront restaurant while enjoying tacos and pizza by the infinity pool. That said, the resort does have a strong upsell vibe. Many things aren’t actually included in the “all-inclusive,” and extras are extremely overpriced (for example, $25 for three scoops of ice cream due to extra charges, and a “complimentary” babysitting service that came with additional fees). Resort credits felt more like small discounts on inflated prices, and every order, even included ones, came with a high-priced bill and a suggested 20% tip. The shower had almost no water pressure and took several minutes to warm up. Pool cocktails were very weak and overly sweet, and the coffee wasn’t great anywhere on the property. Despite these issues, we still enjoyed our stay thanks to the friendly staff, great service, and beautiful location.

This resort was absolutely amazing and beautiful. We vacationed for Christmas and it was wonderful. The food was great and freshly made at all times. Room service was excellent from the cleanliness as well as fully stocked daily with snacks ! Ocean view was perfect, I was able to catch the sunrise daily. Fireworks in the evening was a plus. Pool service was awesome the drinks kept coming! Check in and check out was super fast, friendly staff as well. Plenty of activities to do on the resort. The all inclusive package was worth it! I will be returning in the future. Exceptional management!

We had an absolutely amazing vacation at Villa La Valencia. The rooms were amazing, and housekeeping did a great job. They even decorated for a birthday that our concierge Matthieu helped us organized along with taking care of us and getting meals scheduled. The pools were great and the lazy river was huge! At the infinity pool, Alma and Alessandro did an amazing job taking care of us for a few days. Alma was so attentive and hardworking, doing a great job of multitasking and being friendly. Alessandro was awesome and fun, making us laugh. All the staff were very friendly. The food was great (we were all-inclusive) and we really enjoyed two Coralle dinners with an amazing view, where Jesus did a great job taking care of us. Overall, we had an amazing time and I would definitely come back again. Thank you Villa La Valencia Staff!

Worst service that I have ever experienced at a resort. Especially the dining experiences. The cleaning staff at the buffet asked me to stand up while I was eating so that they could clean under my table. This was during peak dining hours. The electricity and running water both stopped working during my first night here. Every other resort around us had power. I understand that things happen that are out of our control, but it really ruined the entire experience. It’s a shame because there are some very kind people who work at the resort, but they’re outweighed by the pushy and rude dining staff. I would not recommend this place at all.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa La Valencia. The hotel accommodations were first class. Serving staff were friendly, respectful and professional. Restaurants were very good but the menus were a bit limited. La Valencia is on a beautiful beach with four large pools and three large public hot tubs. Nice gym and first class Spa Treatments and All-inclusive meals are available at extra cost. We'd go again in a heartbeat. Google LA Valencia Lazy River for full picture gallery... Our stay at Villa La Valencia was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The resort itself is stunning—spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and perfectly situated with breathtaking ocean views. The lazy river is truly one of the highlights; it’s relaxing, spacious, and unlike anything we’ve experienced at other resorts. The pool areas are immaculate, with plenty of loungers and shade and the staff is constantly making sure you’re taken care of. Our room was modern, comfortable, and incredibly well kept. The bed was luxurious, the bathroom was spacious, and the balcony views were unbelievable—exactly the kind of place you want to unwind in. We were especially impressed by the food quality. Every meal—whether at the restaurants or poolside—was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Service throughout the resort was consistently excellent; every staff member went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a relaxing yet elevated resort experience in Cabo, Villa La Valencia is absolutely the place to be. We can’t wait to return! Pat and Anna- Phoenix, AZ

We travel monthly to many different locations this has been one of the worst hotels we’ve stayed based on restaurants and poolside service. Rooms are decent. Do not pay for all inclusive!!! We are here now. There’s only two restaurants on site and they require a reservation. There’s also a buffet but be prepared to wait. Or room service but pay off vacation is going out to dinner…for us anyway! The worst part is they have pool service that supposedly opens at 10am for drinks but no waiters can be found. We went to walk to the pool bar to order drinks ourselves but they told us we can’t and we have to order with the waiter! You cannot open a tab! Our waiter went MIA for over an hour that’s after I tipped him $50 to take care of us today! After ordering with the waiter it took over 30 mins for him to bring the drinks back to us because there’s only one area for all the waiters to get drinks for every pool! This includes water or a Coke!! Not worth the money! I also was given $225 resort credit. We were planning to use it at the spa but I was told if I use the credit I have to book 80 minute massage and pay $150/person out of packet so really you can’t use the resort credit on the spa!!

We are a member, which gives us access to all the Villa resorts. We have had nothing but good times, great friendly staff, professional services, a solid gym, a fantastic spa. My wife and I would sell everything and move in if we could. It is a small quiet and posh resort (as resorts go). I highly recommend you get out and explore though. Some excellent restaurants around. You will want to stay longer.
