Great place to stay and when we come back this is where we would stay. Hotel was clean and very accommodating, service was great, and the grounds are secure. They make you coffee in the morning at 7 and you can make your own coffee in your room (bring your own as it's not provided, but that means you get to enjoy the coffee of your choice). The AC was wonderful and the host was so nice - she let us chill in the lobby until we were ready to leave and she also let us store our luggage while we went out in our own adventures. This place is walkable to everything IMO.

Amazing hotel at a great price. The guys at the front desk are super helpful, the rooms are spacious and confortable. And the location is ideal : 5 minutes from the port and 5 min from the beach. Plus, I met super nice people there.

This review is long overdue. We have stayed at Villa Las Anclas many times for a number of years and there is no doubt, it’s probably THE BEST in Cozumel. We have stayed at bigger, fancier places who honestly, do not compete. The staff and owner, Pam are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and exactly what we need. The beautiful courtyard has such a great, cozy vibe with a nice clean, refreshing pool. We can get to any restaurant or club, watch live music or just chill in the square in a few minutes walk from the hotel. |We could not ask for a better home away from home. Thank you Pam for always making our stay so wonderful!!

Such an amazing place to stay. The staff are so friendly, they really make you feel at home. The rooms exceptionally clean with all you need to have a great vacation. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were all taken care of, including our restless 3 year old!!

We have the pleasure of staying at Villa Las Anclas for 9 nights. This hotel is amazing. Our room has a sitting areas downstairs, a kitchenette, dining table and the bed/bathroom are lofted at the top of a really cool spiral staircase. The room is individual, and the art and decor make it feel so special. The communal area is full of plants and other artistic touches too! The pool is clean and lovely. David at the front desk is awesome. The location is super close to many restaurants, dive shops, and conveniences. I can’t say enough about this hidden gem.

Would definitely stay here again! Great hardworking staff, our room was cleaned so well, many thanks to the housekeepers, make sure to leave them tips they deserve it. Great location, walking distance to bars restaurants pier convenience stores everything. Felt safe here, (key fob to enter gate, fingerprint door lock for your suite). Art and handmade items adorn this property, it is well maintained. Beautiful flowering plants. Excellent coffee too, enjoy it until noon in the lobby. Thank you!

This was our third time going to Cozumel and staying on the island. I have lost count on how many times we have gotten off a cruise ship for the day there. In saying that we have done the all inclusive scene and stayed downtown one other time. Villa Las Anclas is our new and forever go to from here on out. It's a small paradise behind a gate. Beautiful grounds, rooms, and people. Wonderful restaurants right on the corner. Walk to everything. You won't be disappointed!

This gem of a boutique hotel is very well located, 2 streets from the ferry terminal and a short taxi ride away from the airport. You could go almost anywhere on foot, yet it was quiet in the hotel. The staff with special mention to the manager David Aguilar has been wonderful, helpful, kind and friendly. The little villa was clean, comfortable and had almost everything you need. I wish the aircon could be quieter though. We felt quite safe in the compound and the landscaping was charming. However we didn’t use the pool because the water was just too cold. Many restaurants nearby.

Yelp
Overall a pretty good stay, location being one of the best features of this hotel. Pros: - literally right next to Tres Pelicanos, couldn't of been more convenient to work out dive details or talk to Pony or Willie - Karla was so sweet, so easy and pleasant to communicate with - love the security system with the gates, it feels very safe - nice that they have free water stations for every 2-3 rooms - AC is GREAT!! Holy moly, it can get stuffy and humid in Cozumel, AC is saving grace - multi-level unit was fun and different - kitchen with a mini-fridge was great, kept our drinks nice and cold - close to everything, walk outside and you can find many shops and restaurants within 5-10 minutes (super close by - Burger house, La Cozumelena, Los Otates, Girasoles) - about a 15 minute walk from the Ferry Terminal - decently priced (we paid about $82/night) - free wifi is always a plus! Very good connection too - free DVDs to watch, BBQ to use and pool Cons: - bed is tiny! It was more like a full size bed rather than a queen....needless to say, it was a little bit of a squeeze - bathroom is also tiny. Not that I need a gigantic bathroom on vacation, the shower, sink and toilet were literally right next to each other. If you're using the sink, you can't really close the door because it's just way too cramp. Shower and shower pressure was okay though - soap/shampoo products were minimal, could have used maybe a bottle of lotion or something - housekeeping gave us two bottles of water on the first day and never gave us bottles of water after that......I guess you're expected to refill the water bottle at the water stations outside I would definitely stay here again. $82/night was not a bad deal at all though I have heard from other divers that there are great deals for hotels on this island. It worked out great for us because we were diving the whole week with Tres Pelicanos and when they dropped us off after a day of diving, we just walked next door to our rooms!

Yelp
This place is rated #1 on Tripadvisor for a reason. Jim took over the Hotel a year or so ago and although this was my first time here, it looks like he is pleasing the repeat guests. The place is downtown, only one block back from the waterfront and two blocks from the main square. Most importantly, the Hotel is close to many dive shops and only one block to Aldora Dive Shop. There is also a dive shop attached called Tres Pelicanos. There are only 7 villas, so book early! It is very nice to have space to spread out while on vacation, especially when you have dive gear. There is even space to hang up your dive gear in the pretty courtyard and a grill to cook food if you want to eat in. Every villa has a kitchenette which we found useful to keep drinks cold as well as the pastries we bought around the corner at La Cozumeleña. The new owner put in a pool and it is big enough to relax in and there is a waterfall and some chaise lounges as well. The privacy of this hotel is superb and the peace you get is great. There are high walls around the hotel and your back windows overlook gardens and some have statues. The bed is a little harder than I would like but I slept well with all the diving. There are also two big closets where you can hang up your clothes and the bathroom is well done and has great shower pressure. Karla is a good manager and she will help you arrange taxi rides, car rentals, and give other recommendations. I could easily stay here for a month if I could! Their couches downstairs are very comfy and great to lounge around if you have time to relax. It is so easy to walk from this hotel to many of the surrounding restaurants like Casa Restaurant Cuzamil (fancy sports bar with tvs and high quality food and moderate prices) and Del Sur (Argentinian restaurant with good food but pricey). And if you are worried about security downtown - don't be. I never felt unsafe in downtown and there is also an electric gate to this property and you have an electronic key to the gate, along with your villa key. And another highlight- the a/c works very well! I wish my own a/c wall unit at home was this good. It's also the little touches that count here - they have bottled water stations outside which you can put in your water bottle and put in the fridge in your villa which will save you some money.

Yelp
First time visiting Cozumel and I was looking for a place to stay for 7 nights that was safe, quiet, close to my dive shop(Aldora -highly recommended!), Aldora's pier, and a larger room since it was a for 7 nights. These gated studio lofts exceeded all my expectations. My unit was extremely clean and there was plenty of space to spread out. The AC kept me cool in August and the free Wifi was fast. The kitchenette has a microwave and minifridge(no stove or burner) that was super handy when we purchased food. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, including the owner Jim that let us borrow a few items. Shared amenities include a clean grill and small pool. The best part was the location. The most I ever walked was 15 minutes and the restaurants nearby-Le Chef and Cielito Lindo, serve delicious food. Also around the corner from a bank if you need pesos. The only downside was the smaller size of the bathroom but the showers were a good size and there was enough countertop space. I originally wanted to stay at Casa Mexicana but I now can't imagine staying anywhere else.
