Villa Makassar

One of our favourite Raids during our stays in Marrakesh. The Riad is stunning, with 5 star service, peace and privacy, luxury decor and amenities including a large indoor jacuzzi. The location, in the south west corner of Kasbah and the Medina is beautiful, open and safe, with the surrounding neighborhoods being occupied by upper end store fronts and souks. Would 100% recommend this stay. The only constructive feedback for Villa Makassar would be to conduct a safety check of the desk lights. I experienced an electrical shock, after looking for the switch and touching the top of the desk light covering in our room.

A wonderful hotel (Riad) with fantastic service, food and aesthetics. The riad and rooms all have a beautiful art deco design, all very calm and serene. Breakfast was very nice brought to you each day. Most people sat in one of the courtyards, though you have a choice. We ate in the restaurant one evening, very sophisticated and romantic. Food was excellent and good value. Service as I say was excellent every member of staff were polite and extremely helpful. The rooftop area where with sunbathed most days was beautiful, it has a jacuzzi. The pool looked beautiful but was we did not try it, possibly because of its location a floor down and was nothing the sun. We were offered free transfer to the airport and such a nice touch was the chicken sandwich to take to the airport (it was delicious). Location wise it is 20 it is 10 minute walk from the Kasbah and another 10 minutes to the main square. The location is quiet and felt safe. Overall a great value and I would highly recommend 👌 it. I rate this hotel 10/10. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everyone took great care of us and made sure we felt comfortable. One of the best things about this hotel was the pool. The place is beautiful. I highly recommend it. If I ever return to Marrakech, I will definitely choose this hotel again.

A very stylish hotel in a quieter part of the city. Exceptionally friendly and helpful hostess Samira. Nothing is too much trouble for her to make her guests feel comfortable. A delicious and well-presented breakfast. A beautifully landscaped outdoor pool and a stunning rooftop terrace. Simply the perfect setting for your stay in Marrakech.

Stayed at Villa Makassar for 5 nights. The rooms are beautiful art deco and perhaps on the darkish side which made sleeping very pleasant. Love the fact it only had 10 rooms which made it very personal and got to know Samira the manger and her staff very well. |All staff at the hotel were very friendly and extremely attentive at all times a special thanks to Zak who looked after me and my partner the whole time. |The SPA and Hammam experience was very pleasant and the therapist was phenomenal. |The restaurant was very pleasant, food really good but slightly on the pricy side. We did end up eating out a lot as the restaurant ambience and pianist every evening became quite repetitive. However above all a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we are in the process of planning our next trip and would not hesitate to go back to Villa Makassar.

An absolute oasis of peace. Perfectly located. The airport transfer can be made directly by car to the hotel. You are right in the Medina and can reach almost everything on foot. Very friendly and helpful service. The food in the restaurant is also highly recommended. We highly recommend this Riad!

We loved our stay at Villa Makassar. The accommodation is beautiful, art deco with beautiful antique architecture and furniture. The staff are amazing and especially Zak, our favourite waiter, who could not do enough for us. We love him and also a huge thank you to the owner who was very accommodating and informative when we arrived, and gave us a room upgrade for my birthday. We would love to come back.

The Villa Makassar was a haven and a real delight. It’s wonderfully designed and comfortable but— more important than anything — the staff was warm and always helpful. At night, an accomplished pianist comes into the bar, playing Edith Piaf and modern hits. One night, a very young guest got up to dance to Abba’s Dancing Queen and the rest of us swayed and clapped loudly. It’s that kind of place.
