Villa Makassar

A wonderful hotel (Riad) with fantastic service, food and aesthetics. The riad and rooms all have a beautiful art deco design, all very calm and serene. Breakfast was very nice brought to you each day. Most people sat in one of the courtyards, though you have a choice. We ate in the restaurant one evening, very sophisticated and romantic. Food was excellent and good value. Service as I say was excellent every member of staff were polite and extremely helpful. The rooftop area where with sunbathed most days was beautiful, it has a jacuzzi. The pool looked beautiful but was we did not try it, possibly because of its location a floor down and was nothing the sun. We were offered free transfer to the airport and such a nice touch was the chicken sandwich to take to the airport (it was delicious). Location wise it is 20 it is 10 minute walk from the Kasbah and another 10 minutes to the main square. The location is quiet and felt safe. Overall a great value and I would highly recommend 👌 it. Overall great value for money

The stay was amazing from start to finish. The Art Deco Palace was beautiful and nothing was too much trouble. Any issues were quickly resolved. Samira on reception was fantastic. The breakfast was fabulous - different each day and so tasty. We loved our stay and can’t wait to return.

The Villa Makassar was a haven and a real delight. It’s wonderfully designed and comfortable but— more important than anything — the staff was warm and always helpful. At night, an accomplished pianist comes into the bar, playing Edith Piaf and modern hits. One night, a very young guest got up to dance to Abba’s Dancing Queen and the rest of us swayed and clapped loudly. It’s that kind of place.

A wonderful 5 days in Morocco, at rge excellent Villa Makassar, Road. Rooms authentically and comfortably furnished and the staff could not have been more helpful and supportive. A great place to stop and relax away from the excitement heat and hustle & bustle of the city. Very quiet and chilled... the food in general was excellent but the Villa Makassar breakfast was an absolute treat to start the day. Loved it there, will return and highly recommend!!

The perfect introduction to Marrakech. In the old city with a quiet and understated elegance. The staff is outstanding. The rooms are very nice and quiet. Not luxurious. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful place to stay. Art Deco design and a feeling of luxury. From the authentic mint tea to a gourmet meal. Complete with pianist. All the staff looked after us. A wonderful experience. Highly recommend the spa and a Hammam massage. The feeling afterwards was peace. A retreat from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. Loved our romantic break away to the sunshine.

A very nice Riad within walking distance of the Medina. Excellent service from the friendly staff and special thanks to Zak for all his great help. Lively roof terrace with again good service.|The restaurant serves very good food with a nice choice of dishes.|If you like Art Deco this is for you I find Art Deco a bit gloomy.

We loved our stay at Villa Makassar. The accommodation is beautiful, art deco with beautiful antique architecture and furniture. The staff are amazing and especially Zak, our favourite waiter, who could not do enough for us. We love him and also a huge thank you to the owner who was very accommodating and informative when we arrived, and gave us a room upgrade for my birthday. We would love to come back.
