Full disclaimer, we had our wedding there and it was perfect. The place is beautiful, the ground staff is great. The problem is the the manager Matteo, he’s very sketchy and not to be trusted. It’s a nice venue, but there are many nice venues in the region. So I would suggest you to stay away. They would go out of their way to lie and take your money. Things to look out for if you already booked with them: 1. Do not order room service, or champagne, or any kind of food or beverage to the rooms, they will charge you “service fee” of €20 per person. We ordered a bottle of champagne for 6 people. And ON TOP of the cost of the bottle (€200) they charged us €120 for this “fee”. You can just go to the restaurant, order it and bring it to your room by yourself . Or eat/drink at the restaurant. 2. They will make up fake items just to charge you. For example, they charged us €600 additionally to hire some chairs for the wedding ceremony even though they used the same chairs from dinner just repurposed them. Watch out for this make sure you don’t pay them more than what you should. As they will lie about giving you a refund but then would ignore your calls and emails to avoid paying. 3. They have many rigid rules, and do not allow any external caterers. Only there in house catering team. Therefore they are monopoly on price and will be a lot more expensive with very limited menu/offering. ——— Update in Feb 2025: I’ve been informed that Matteo has been fired from Villa Mangiacane, which is a very good decision of the owner/management. Hopefully the new manager is decent to do justice for such beautiful and magical venue.

It’s a nice venue, but there are many nice venues in the region. So I would suggest you to stay away. And be careful of the manager Matteo Sanraceni, he’s very sketchy and not to be trusted. Many people have mentioned this, check out the Google reviews too.||||They would go out of their way to lie and take your money. Things to look out for if you already booked with them:||1. In our case, they deliberately served the cheap wines instead of the premium bottles that we paid for.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Villa Mangiacane. The rooms were wonderful and the staff were very attentive to our needs. We loved the 2 pools and the grounds are absolutely breath taking. A short walk across the valley takes you to some night life with bars and restaurants.||This is a specialty hotel and does not operate under traditional hotels. The staff are available for events only and any planned events are handled through 3rd parties.

I really loved Villa Mangiacane 🌸 It is such a beautiful Villa, well located in the center of Tuscany. The service is very good, people were nice, kind & helpful. My Deluxe Villa Room was beautiful, comfortable bed, and clean (which is what I care the most). The room was spacious and private. The breakfast everyday was delicious, full of fresh fruits and healthy options and also all kind of fresh pastries and delicious eggs meals available. Samantha, the Manager of the Villa, was super attentive and eager to help us with anything that we would need. My only suggestion would be to have more meal options available at the Villa. They can cater any meal if you want to, but the price per person is high. There is a delicious restaurant walking distance from the Villa in case you get hungry at the Villa but don’t want to go so far away. Overall, me and my family had a beautiful experience and we would definitely come back again. Que villa La Toscana! Grazie Mille 🌸♥️

Horrible experience. Among many problems (dirty room, etc.), we were locked out of the villa the first night with no way to get in, no one to help us. We had to literally scale the fence and break in. They said in person and in writing that we could leave a day early and they would refund us for the last night. Now they refuse to refund us or respond to our requests. Unethical scam artists who lied to our faces. This place makes money by having Instagram worthy vistas for weddings and then puts most guests in dirty rooms with no/bad a.c. and treats them poorly. See tripadvisor reviews, etc. from ppl with same experience. Truly a miserable place.

Feedback on Villa Mangiacane, OUR WEDDING VENUE ,Tuscany, Italy||||I do not usually write reviews but someone who is ruining my wedding celebration for their own greedy interest then I write to warn you all.||||My experience at Villa Mangiacane in Tuscany was a mixed one, with both positive and negative aspects to highlight. Let me start by saying that the villa itself was truly magnificent, boasting a spectacular view and beautiful rooms. It was love at first sight when we signed the contract in July 2022 for our three-day FULL BUYOUT wedding celebration from June 21st to 23rd, 2023.||However, I must express my disappointment with the after-sale customer service provided by Villa Mangiacane. We encountered significant struggles in trying to reach them, and their responsiveness was lacking. This lack of communication and support was particularly frustrating, especially considering the significance of our event.||Furthermore, Villa Mangiacane proved to be less than ideal as a wedding venue, especially if you're looking to have a lively outdoor party. The management informed us during the contract signing that music and fireworks had to end by 10 pm to avoid any police intervention. Surprisingly, on June 22nd, during our welcome party, which started at 4 pm, we were asked to lower the volume at 5:30 pm due to the presence of police on the property. It was bewildering as it was well before the agreed-upon time. The continuous requests to turn down the music, with one staff member physically interfering with the speakers, only added to our frustration. Although we continued the party with lower volume, the incident left a sour taste in our mouths.||Another area where Villa Mangiacane fell short was in their approach to pricing and service. The management appeared to prioritize profit above all else, even for minimal services. For example, during our welcome party, there was supposed to be a live station for cold cuts, which was never displayed until I personally noticed its absence 90 minutes after the meal service began. Additionally, they charged us a Euro 45 corkage fee for bottles, but when our event planners requested to see the empty bottles as proof, the staff refused to show them.||Another greediness,One particular instance was when they offered to provide gelato for 80 people for a two-hour duration at an astonishing cost of 2700 Euro. We found this price to be unreasonable, especially when considering alternative options. We were able to find a vendor ourselves who offered six hours of gelato service for 1600 Euro, including a variety of six flavors. This option not only saved us a significant amount of money but also provided a more diverse and enjoyable experience for our guests.||||Similarly, the venue proposed a live pizza station for the after-party on the wedding day, but their asking price of 5000 Euro for a maximum of 60 people from 11 pm to 2 am felt incredibly inflated. By choosing to outsource this service ourselves, we secured a reputable vendor who provided pizza for 60 people at a cost of 1400 Euro. This decision not only showcased the venue's inflated pricing but also demonstrated their disregard for providing competitive and fair options.||||On our wedding day, the villa was severely understaffed, resulting in our event planner from Dubai having to take on additional responsibilities. To our surprise, the wines we had specifically bought for the wedding, including Amarone, Brunello di Montalcino, and two others, were not served. It was only the next day, when we realized our wines were missing, that we had to request them. The general manager, Matteo, eventually brought the wines before our check-out, but the intention behind withholding them until prompted remains unclear.||When settling our final bill, we noticed several nonsensical charges. Initially totalling $6,000, we negotiated it down to $4,000. However, upon further scrutiny, we discovered questionable charges. It was disheartening to learn that the GM, Matteo, agreed to adjust the bill if a few of our guests wrote positive reviews on platforms like TripAdvisor and Google. This approach seemed manipulative and unprofessional.||||Throughout our stay, we felt an undue amount of pressure and stress due to various mismanagement issues. Rain delays and service after the ceremony caused confusion, and guests were rushed to dinner at 8 pm to accommodate the four-course menu, cake cutting, and fireworks before the 10 pm curfew. Instead of Villa Mangiacane serving us, it felt like we were doing them favors and trying to keep them satisfied, which was far from the ideal experience we had envisioned.||To conclude, if you are seeking a stress-free and enjoyable wedding experience, I strongly advise considering other venues. While our wedding at Villa Mangiacane ultimately turned out well despite the venue's mismanagement and stress, given the chance to do it all over again, I would not choose this location. Best of luck in your wedding planning endeavors.||||I have a proof of Matto text to my husband for google review, everything is based on facts,||||OUR NAME IS ON THE VILLA||||SAHEL & MARK

Google
Terrible experience. The staff was completely misleading and took advantage of us being tourists. We scheduled a time to come out to the Villa to see the grounds and have a wine tasting and dinner. Once we got there (after shelling out 60 euros for cab fare from Florence) they conveniently informed us that the Villa has been rented out to a private family and we wouldn’t be able to see it. What a joke. When I confronted the staff on their tactics they were extremely rude and played the card that “we should have asked before coming”. How about you inform your guests in advance if the main attraction of the entire winery is not available? Food was on par with what you would expect. Wine was underwhelming at best. Bottom line, don’t trust this place. They have no problems fleecing you and taking your money along the way. To top it off I had to spend another 60 euros to get back to Florence. Such a wasted night in such a beautiful city like Florence. That’s the most disappointing part of it all.

We keep coming back to Mangiacane for these incredible events. This time it was an unforgettable Halloween party. The food, wine, service and decorations were just amazing. And the colors this time of year are just breathtaking, the vineyards surrounding the property in bright yellow. And the remarkable statue collection in the lush gardens are just out of this world, it's like African renaissance. They also arranged a perfect VIP trip to go and see the David of Michelangelo at the Accademia Gallery. Til next time.

Yelp
The best part of staying at Villa Mangiacane was the service. Tania at the front desk was friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. She assisted us from the check in process to finding places to explore nearby. The villa was clean, well appointed, and located in a very picturesque setting.

Yelp
Fantastic accommodations, breathtaking scenery, world class service and outstanding food...did I leave anything out? Oh yes, they produce their own wine and olive oil...both of which are fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place and hope to return some day...
