How is this not the most famous restaurant in the country?
Gorgeous. Authentic. Spectacular. I had to pinch myself that I randomly walked in here at about 9:30pm while hopping cafes in Trivandrum.
Architecture and Interiors: Heritage building teaming with art and nature. The murals, statues dot the large garden with water playing a prominent role, flowing across the floor, teeming with Koi and small fries. The background music pairs perfectly with the constant flow of water splashing around you. I must, without hesitation, also appreciate their washroom. The urinals, in the middle of a pond, watching koi while peeing. What in the world was going on.
Service: I interacted with Mr Rajesh and a few others, and every single team member here was exceptional in their quality of interaction, promptness, and going the extra mile to assist with personalised recommendations.
Food & Drinks:
Their selection of beer and wine was great, and offered several cocktails that were red/white/sparkling based.
The welcome drink of a coffee shot and an appam was light and set the expectation that this was not going to be an ordinary culinary experience.
I went for the Kerala Seafood Platter, which consisted of 3 dishes - Fish, Prawn, Squid. All 3 insanely good, I paired it with a Parotha. As flaky and soft as it could be.
For the dessert I tried the coconut ice cream brownie, which was served inside a tender coconut. Again, exceptional!
Price: Steep, worth it - 1000%, but be prepared as it will dent your wallet a bit. That said, it’s an ultra luxury place, without pretentious food or vibe, and would come here again and again.
