Worst motorbike rental experience i have had in South East Asia stay away or risk losing your passport/deposit to these extremely dangerous unmaintained bikes

Average hotel, quite clean but with outdated furniture. Nice garden but we couldn't enjoy it as the room was giving on the other side. Wi-Fi unstable but staff not very professional: The hotel is somehow clean with acceptable quality of furniture but nothing outstanding except the garden but can't really enjoy it as the room was giving on the other side. WiFi not very stable and staff not that professional: We told the hotel we are arriving between 7pm and 8pm, the reception was supposed to be open until 8pm but when we arrived at 7:45pm it was closed with no message, nothing. The worst, the owner won't even apologies instead he will always find excuses and blame on customers, I saw that unacceptable behaviour in many reviews. Many better hotels in vang being, don't lose your time with this one.

Nice location at the river. But Lao weddings in locations around this hotel can get very loud until 1am. Rooms are not sound proof so your part of the action even when not invited.

Nice drinks and view at sunset, however, the traffic on the river at this time make it akin to having a beer beside the M4 just outside Reading. The food (mushroom soup & burger) was pretty average, especially the burger.

Trilingual Filipino manager Daryl was the biggest plus of the hotel, aside from the breathtaking views of Nam Song and the limestone karsts. He's been in Laos for a total of 10 years and is helpful with local information. Rooms are adequately clean, homely, comfortable, in reasonable repair considering they have to reopen every year after the rainy season shortly before the high season. Food is overly salty, not much too choose between the French or Lao food. It's right at one of the noisiet parts of the river with large multi-storey hotels beginning to encroach and where boat tours take off and return, especially on the weekend with large Mainland Chinese tour groups and townies from Vientiane.

Room ok but too expensive compared to other places (e.g. in Vientiane) but an absolute no-go is the super loud trance music from across the river. I can Shazam the music lying on my bed 😳 impossible to read or watch tv. Hope it will not last all night. Otherwise sleeping even with earplugs will be impossibe! 🤬 Update: music went off at 9pm. Adding one Star... And it was only one evening. Breakfast at the river was beautiful, though

On the river in Vang Vieng, good site, bit noisy with longtail boat jetty adjacent. Restaurant food nothing remarkable, not worse or better than in-town competitors.

Great hotel, excellent locations on the riverside, friendly staff and great garden. Good size rooms and excellent breakfast
