My husband and I had a wonderful three day stay at Villa Norangdal! First, the host and staff were so friendly. The host gave us great suggestions for hikes and places to explore during the day. The room was lovely and meals good. The location is amazing. Out our window we could see a small glacier and a beautiful valley. A truly wonderful place to spend time relaxing and getting to know Norway.

Just a few minutes drive from the touristy hotspot of Geirangerfjord, this is a small hotel, tucked away in a peaceful mountain valley. We were offered a choice of spacious rooms, all thoughtfully and uniquely decorated with designer furniture, handcrafted wallpapers, and interesting items relating to the history of the hotel and its owners. The bed was very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast are offered - both were very good. We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts. Prices were reasonable. This place really is worth seeking out - don't miss it if you're touring the area.

Overnight stay whilst on a road trip. This place is off the beaten track but in a wonderful location. It's a design geek's paradise, wonderful eclectic mix of furniture across the decades, but all pulled together with a style that works. Rooms comfortable with great design pieces for each of the decade themed rooms. Breakfast was as expected of a guest house, more limited than a hotel, but if you wanted more you only had to ask. ||We also had dinner which was absolutely superb, expertly cooked, fresh and well presented. Good selection of beers and wine. I would thoroughly recommend and would happily stay here again.

One of the best places to stay when travelling to Norwegian fjords. Great interiour design, very cosy. Just five rooms, very well equiped and each in different design. Downstairs a lot of space to have a nice time after diner or lunch. We had a nice bottle of wine at a table close to the fireplace in July;). The place is supervised by the owner. If you have a chance - talk to her - she is a great story! 10 minutes drive to Hellesylt ferry. Great nature around. A tip - if cows or sheep block your road - simply get out of the car and gently move them to the side of the road. We have seen it working.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our tourskiing-trip and everything was perfect! The rooms have each their own story. The welcome was very friendly! And after a day of skiing the hot tub was a real reward. Dinner was perfect as well. Really the place to be if you are in the Hjorundenfjord-area!

The villa is secluded in a peaceful little valley, seemingly detached from the world but only 20 minutes away from the Geirangerfjord. An ideal base to explore the area by foot, car, or boat, away from the tourist hordes of Geiranger itself. The rooms are charming and comfortable, the dining room and main salon downstairs are sumptuous, and dinner and breakfast are both excellent. Iris, the hostess, spared no effort to see that our every need was taken care of. We felt like welcome guests, not anonymous "customers". If you're looking for a standard characterless hotel just like thousands everywhere else, go elsewhere. But for a unique travel experience with a local flavor, Villa Norangdal should definitely be on your shortlist. It's not cheap, but you do get your money's worth.

We were missled by the pictures in the internet and guests opinions. the price was very high 1900 NOK=235$ and we got a very low rate hotel.||we had to climb with our suitcases a very narrow stairs to the second floor just to enter a poor old roomw , with no TV, no table, no minibar, and a low hanging lamp over our head.||The worst thing was the curtains which were transparent, while the late norvegian light prevent us from sleep and wake us in 4:00 in the morning. the bath was too big and empty, the towels were thin and small like kitchen towels, breakfast was very cheap and poor. the entrance to the hotel was neglected and dirty by mud. arround the hotel there was no path to access the entrance but mud and puddles. the nature arround was nice as most of the view in norway, but the hotel is stuck in the middle of nowhere' giving you a feeling of a captive customer.||actually it is not a hotel, but a big old farm house with price of 5* hotel.||Be carefull, as said this is a "tourist trap".

This hotel is really beautyful! The view of the valley is amazing, the rooms are really big and nice (and they're all from different decades), the beds are comfortable, the food is fantastic and the service is outstanding! Keep in mind it's a small hotel - so no room service.||The magnificient Slogen is nearby so we used this hotal as a "base". There is also a nice (and shorter) walk just from the hotel.
