My girlfriend and I came in with a reservation at 7pm we were seated right away. There was only one other table there that night with 6 people the place was empty. It took a total of 1 hour and 10 minutes to bring out all the food which came out one at a time. First ceviche appetizer then ONE single salmon street taco and at the longest wait was the lobster sushi roll. I thought this place was supposed to be mexican themed but they are serving Japanese food. Saldy, the sushi was the best thing on the menu. I paid $12 for one salmon taco that was not good at all, I would rather have taco bell. I don't mean to be harsh but it's the truth. The SD to Tulum was a margarita flight that both my girlfriend and I very much enjoyed and tasted good with the dried fruit, it wasn't amazing for $30... I've sampled a 5 margarita flight that tasted better for cheaper. In addition, I got the strawberry basil margarita that honestly tasted like some sort of medicinal cough syrup but once the ice watered down the drink it was great. The waiters we're very good at keeping things moving quickly recognizing things that could be done or should be done all except for refilling our water glasses which sat empty for 30 minutes but they still performed very well then again there was only two tables seated at the time, us two, and the party of 6 behind us. The kitchen is incredibly slow for only serving 8 guests in a place that could hold about 60 people... The staff spend a lot of time hanging out with their coworkers on their phones during their downtime mean while both our water glasses were empty. For a place that focuses on a beautiful atmosphere the employees just loitering around is not a good look. Maybe put up a shade somewhere they can stand behind. Our server was great, good attitude and smile, regularly checking our food and drinks but missed the empty water glasses which wouldn't be a big deal but they had more employees than guests and did not notice the empty water glass! The music was incredibly loud for the place being empty, tho the volume would be perfectly justified if the place was packed. The table we had was unsteady, the heat lamps were going so despite it being cold outside we stayed warm the entire time which was great. This place has a lot of potential for extreme success but to pretend to be a high level establishment simply by charging high prices for small quantities you are mistaken. I believe what makes you a high level establishment is not the obvious things but the attention to detail to the small things. They also charge a 20% tip automaticly 3% of which goes to the owner and 17% to the staff which for a party of 6 or more I understand but for a table of two... Come on.
