Villa Oranje Chiang Mai

This small motel has only 7 rooms, but it feels more like a family stay, in that, the owner and his family are here most of the time. Hank and Nah have 3 adorable children and run the operation. The rooms are clean and adequate, the television very basic, the wi-fi excellent, and the prices very reasonable. Life in Thailand is mostly lived outdoors, and since the weather is great, spending time on the rooftop terrace is far more ideal than spending time in your room anyhow. It's also a great place to meet other travelers and have wonderful conversations. There's a small menu of offerings for breakfast, lunch or a snack, but if you wander down the road, there are literally dozens of small eateries, street food, little cafes and shops very close by. It's an ideal location only about 500 meters from the Chiang Mai gate to the the old city, and most everything is either walkable or a very reasonable tuk-tuk ride away. Hank and Nah are very helpful in arranging local transportation, as well as tours and advice on local activities. They will make you feel like part of the family.

Very clean, quiet and comfortable place. The staff is really helpful and the price per night is attractive. 7/11 is 60 meters away. Close to the hotel is a nice caffeteria with amazing coffee. Food street market is around 10 mins away.

Henk and his wife, Nhah own the 7-room hotel just off the Saturday Walking Street on Wualai. It's clean, amiable and has a wonderful rooftop terrace with cool breezes. Although the rooms are fairly sparse and a bit dated, it was a really pleasant stay and we were made to feel like part of the family before we departed.

Stayed here for 4 nights and would definitely recommend it to anybody staying in Chiang Mai. The only downside is most things are 15-30 minutes away which didn't bother me as I like walking but may not suit everybody. Room was surprisingly spacious and great standard, friendly staff. Particularly good for the price.

Villa Oranje was a fantastic find. Great location in a quiet residential neighborhood while also 5-10 minute walk from old town and all the best eateries in Chiang Mai.||||The hotel owners/ staff were extremely helpful and friendly and would go out of their way to take care of us! The hotel was well kept and clean. ||||Would definitely recommend Villa Oranje for a pleasant stay in Chiang Mai.

Villa Oranje is a nice little guesthouse run by a Dutch owner. The rooms are neat and clean, the staff is friendly. You can also eat there. Breakfast and lunch are fine. in the evening a beer on the roof terrace and a game of pool billiards. Entirely right.

Nice rooms, nice staff. Also a very nice location. Walking distance to the old city, and saturday night market right in front the guesthouse. They also helped me renting a motorbike. Cool Wheels Chiang Mai delivered at the guesthouse👍 I highly recommend this guesthouse👍

Room is huge, clean and superb owner. Unfortunate, I didn't have time to spend much. Got out early morning and dead tired back at night. Only the last day that I've notice that this was more like homestay, friendly staffs. It's only lack breakfast. If you have time, go visit a silver temple called "Wat Sri-Suphan", more than 500 years old. It's a great Silver Smith - what a piece of craftsmanship! It takes 5 minutes walk from the place, see visuals. Have fun...
