Only a few minutes outside of Cefalù, this estate is a perfect place of peace and quiet. Located on the steep coast, you can enjoy the stunning view while sitting in the garden or at the pool. The hosts are very nice, helpful and really care for their guests. The breakfast is an absolute highlight, irregardless of whether you enjoy it in the garden or in the historically furnished breakfast room. It would be wrong to call them rooms, as they are much more like luxurious appartments. On two floors, including a small kitchen, you will feel absolutely comfortable. The complex itself was built in the 19th century, which gives it much of the charm. However, due to great care and a lot of work by the owners the rooms are in perfect condition.

Fantastic location, beautifully decorated and well equipped rooms and a friendly, helpful and responsive host. The pool is also large with a real deep end and is situated among the citrus fruit groves. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Nice location, beautiful view and great to have the pool. However service is pretty much non existent, breakfast only available on some days and you can't get food or drink there - don't be fooled by the pictures. If you have young kids (ie under 3) avoid too - steep stairs in apartments etc. Driveway up to the accom is like scaling Everest.

This location is an old villa on a hill and therefor with a remarkable view towards the sea. The buildings are nice renovated and offer all ammenities you need for a stay. Within the structure there is also a pool from which you can look towards the sea and a pool bar right next to it. The bar offers all kinds of drinks and smaller dishes, all fresh prepared to your order. The breakfast in Villa Palamara is outstanding. Besides bread, juice, cheese and bacon you will find typical food of the region every day, also fresh prepared. The variety of regional food is awesome and changes every day. During our 4 day stay there was nothing on the table twice. The staff is very friendly and helpful and speaks good english as well. The last ~200m to Villa Palamara are an unpaved winding road, but don´t be afraid of that, it is not difficult to drive up there. On each turn there is enough space to turn and also to let a car pass the other direction. Since Villa Palamara isn´t a large hotel, the chances of meeting another car are quite low. Villa Palamara is located a bit outside of Cefalu which makes it a relaxing place over the hektic of the city, but you reach Cefalu center in typically less than 15 minutes.

This place was the greatest. It's run by Cinzia. & Antonio who put a personal touch on everything. The atmosphere is typical Italian in this 16th century monastery. It has all the details and the food is great . Try a cooking class with Antonio. He is very knowledgeable and patient. I would go back in a heartbeat. It also has a good location outside of town.
