The location is nice with a great view over the bay. The garden is beautiful, though not well kept. The swimming pool is stunning. Im contrast, the beach is not really great.
In fact, the place - a former monastery - could be paradisiacal.
Unfortunately, the responsible persons do neither care enough about the guests, nor about their facilities.
Messages are not answered. When we arrived, we had to wait although we had informed them in advance.
The equipment of the kitchen is sparse. There were not enough glasses or mugs for every family member. Cooking, thus, needed some creativity.
Cleaning standard was average, especially in the bathroom, where the ventilator was full of dust.
Overall, the furniture is partially delapidated.
The road up there is adventurous.
No problem for experienced drivers, but when you depend on tourists, I cannot understand why they don't invest in a better road.
Overall, I would not recommend La Villa Palamara.
Nor would I recommend to visit Cefalú.
In my view, it is much too overcrowded and touristy.
