Villa Paola

We had dinner here. Fabulous experience. The setting is divine. Service is very good. The restaurant is very quiet and calm. Every dish was a work of art and delicious. Good choice of wines by the glass. We would love to return.

We had the most incredible experience at this villa in Italy for our elopement and wedding celebration! The setting was absolutely breathtaking and truly made our day unforgettable. The food was beyond amazing—every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.|A huge special thank you goes to Deborah, the events coordinator, who was an absolute lifesaver throughout the whole process. She went above and beyond to make everything seamless, from the planning stages to the celebration itself. Her support and attention to detail made our wedding stress-free and perfect.|The villa itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and felt like the best place we could have ever chosen to begin this new chapter in our lives. We can’t recommend it highly enough—an absolute dream come true!

We stayed at Villa Paola for5 nights. It was magical . |Even before our stay , Sara had helped us tremendously by arranging meals , transport etc. When we arrived we felt as if we were greeting an old friend !|Every single person within Villa Paola did everything they could to make our stay perfect . We were cared for by Sara who was unbelievably kind, even checked our train arrived safely to Reggio ; Lavinia brought a smile and a wonderful service to our meals and Davide was considerate and helpful and will have a wonderful career in hospitality ahead . |The meals were phenomenal; the thought put into creating each dish, just mind blowing, the chefs , clever and brilliant and the staff so knowledgeable. |We cannot praise this hotel highly enough . So peaceful , so much thought into every detail . We were honoured to be looked after here . |Tropea town is just a 10 minute walk and the beaches are clean , the sea akin to the Caribbean !|Thank you Villa Paola and every single member of staff who works there to make it such a special place to visit . |We look forward to returning !

You could not find a more perfect hotel in Tropea. It is situated upon a hill overlooking the ocean and the town of Tropea. The gardens are magical and the views are stunning. It is so quiet and peaceful. So much attention and care to the small details, the flowers, the music, the fresh food. I hope it never changes, it was perfect. Such an easy walk into town via the gardens. Rooms were stunning.

This location hotel tells itself as a five star we just couldn’t go higher than three for these specific reasons. When we pulled up, we could not find the front door. There were no signs nobody waiting in the gate was locked. We had to drag our bags in and knock until someone came. The checkout process was slow and lengthy. All we really wanted to do after a day of traveling is to check into your room, but they kind of held us hostage forcing us to wait around 25 minutes for them to check us in. Eventually, I had to go up and get our key as it was obvious they were not going to bring it to me. The hotel itself is fine. There is no beach close by although it’s advertised as beachfront. They charged us fees so we had to argue to get off the bill because we did not receive the service. Instead of acknowledging our concern on the bill and investigating it on their end they simply said you have to pay it. Eventually, with enough arguing, they agreed to take the minimal amount off the bill. Not the staff’s fault there is not a person there over 25 to teach the staff what 5 Star is. so I imagine none of the staff has been to a five star hotel. ||I’d avoid this hotel. .

It was a very pleasant stay in this old monastery that was transformed into a hotel. There are only about 12 rooms and the Standard room is quite small but with a comfortable bed and very nice smell. The property has a stunning multi layered garden and a beautiful infinity pool woth views onto Tropea. Tropea is within walking distance from the hotel but about 12min away.Everything was great but personally the breakfast was quite simple and selection is limited. I'm not a big breakfast eater but just wanted to highlight it as some people value a 5 star breakfast buffet.Staff is very friendly and helpful and overall the property is very well kept in shape. Definitely the best address in this area.

Best romantic location in Tropea to have tasty cocktails and astonishing sunset view. We came here for aperitivo and got the best experience we could ve thought about. The waiter which was the mixologist of the villa made us the best cocktails ever. The reception was very friendly. Very tasty aperitivo with local product. A bit pricey but totally worth it considering the place.

We stayed at Villa Paola for our honeymoon, the entire experience was incredible. We cannot recommend you stay here enough. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Luis was the main concierge we worked with and he was able to accommodate all of our needs and wants. They booked us in for wonderful local dinners out, including all transport. As well as a local private boat tour. To say the food was the best is an understatement. Maria and Francesco have the most extensive wine knowledge and lead us through the Michelin tasting with full wine pairing. It was wonderful. Our nightly digestivo with Andres and Rocco were perfect every time.
