Beautifully landscaped property right on the beach. Very private. The view is amazing. The upstairs portion is beautifully decorated. The room downstairs by the pool is large and lovely as well. We had a great visit. I would not hesitate to return. Our hosts were friendly and very responsive to our needs. We were well taken care of.

First off, let me start off by saying that the grounds and location of Wiona were amazing and the house manager was great as well. We thoroughly enjoyed her and she was super responsive during our whole trip. But there are a few things I'd like to point out that do not make this property a 5 star or as described in AirBnB and on their website. 1. The hot water faucets don't work in any of the sinks (I guess people don't like to use hot water to wash their hands?) 2. The downstairs shower barely had hot water and if anybody else was showering at the same time, then there was zero hot water 3. The outdoor shower didn't work 4. The grill had no gas and wouldn't start the first night (the manager did rectify the gas situation the next day but the ignitor is still broken) 5. The downstairs suite barely got wi-fi and Netflix only sometimes worked 6. We were not allowed to park in the driveway--not sure why? 7. Many of the outdoor fans and lights did not work 8. The deck and hammock look like they hadn't been cleaned in years 9. No extra bath towels anywhere in the house 10. No paper towels or extra toilet paper until we asked about some The property's website is quite deceiving in terms of the level of "luxury" they seemingly offer. They might want to consider either fixing the things in the list or presenting a more realistic picture of what the house is (and isn't). The downstairs suite was quite disappointing, especially considering it is the "king suite." This, pulled from the website, is definitely not an accurate description of it: "Step inside and be greeted by a carefully and tastefully designed interior. Each bedroom is a sanctuary of comfort, boasting comfortable furnishings, plush linens, and abundant natural light. The en-suite bathrooms are a testament to modern sophistication, featuring sleek stone finishes where you can unwind and rejuvenate." The downstairs is dark and dungeon-like with red bars over the door and window, the linens are not plush, and the bathroom is definitely not a testament to modern sophistication. We also got the impression that the owner was seemingly put out every time we asked him a question about the house; it was as if he didn't want to be bothered. We have an AirBnB where we live in the US and know what it takes to make guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. We also make sure we present an accurate picture of what our place is and offers. We did enjoy our visit to Bocas and the grounds around the house are pretty spectacular...but frankly, the house left a lot to be desired.

We stayed in two of their homes because our plans extended and one of the options was not available for the entire time. First was Coconut Tree for 3 nights and then the Casitas for 4 nights. We loved both but the casitas was well worth the extra even though we hardly used the second apartment. Coconut Tree is a two story with a bedroom loft. It shares a wall with the Cherry Tree unit but you barely know anyone is next door. The space is really perfect for a minimalist romantic space for a couple. It is about 20 paces to the sandy beach. The kitchen is tight but well equipped and has a large refrigerator. The bathroom is a normal size like you’d find in a hotel room. The Casitas has two separate suites enclosed by a walled courtyard and a private pool. The rooms are large and comfortable with a large bathroom and walk in shower. There’s a small mini fridge in each. The kitchen is outdoors with two electric burners and a gas grill. It also has all the pots and pans you’ll need. The pool is wonderful for a dip but the courtyard was simply amazing to chill out on and cook and enjoy a cocktail and conversation. Wonderful property and amazing ocean views. We really couldn’t have had a more enjoyable time and amazing stay. One bit of advice that has no bearing on the property is about the bugs. The property is essentially bug free during the day, which is incredible but I’d warn that those flying gnats seem to love the lights for about an hour after dusk. It got dark about 6:30pm for us and we chose to leave only the corner wall lights on for about an hour and a half to attract them away from the main areas. It worked really well and after 8pm, we hardly noticed them with other outdoor lights on.

It was a perfect place for a vacation, private house on the beach with a pool. A cute Casita for each couple. We loved the outdoor kitchen grilling fish every night for dinner. It was awesome having our own pool. Angie the owner was so helpful with everything including setting us up with a local for snorkeling and fishing. Highly recommend this place.

Myself and my fiancé stayed here! It was absolutely amazing. The family that owns the place is super nice and caring. They helped us with everything, from finding places to eat, to letting us use their bicycles, to helping us find a boat tour, and even helping us do laundry. And they baked brownies too!!! We stayed in two of their accommodations. Both were nice. Both had pools and hot showers. The beds are comfy. This is the only place I will stay when coming back to the island!!!

Several members of my family booked all three units at Villa Paraiso and it was a very successful and enjoyable visit. My husband and I stayed in one of the casitas which was very comfortable and well equipped. The location was quiet but easily accessible to Bocas del Toro either by bike or the local cabs which always seemed to be passing by. Connor and Angie were most helpful in organizing a private boat tour out to the islands and providing suggestions for various activities. It was lovely place to stay and I would highly recommend it.

We can't recommend this place enough! The 2 Casitas were perfect for our 2 small families to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Caribbean. You won't find another place like it- CLEAN, private pool and steps to private beach access, all the comforts you'd want for a vacation including recommendations for where to get good food and supplies in town. Any time we had a question, Angie was quick to respond with a great local recommendation. We also highly recommend taking a private boat tour to the surrounding islands, which they were happy to set up for us. We got picked up right on the beach in front of our bedrooms and were out for a day of boating and sight seeing- just perfect. We had a sick toddler on this trip and we couldn't have asked for a better spot to be "stuck", cozy, safe, and comfortable resting space where we could all relax to the sound of the lapping Caribbean just feet away from the bedroom window. If we are ever back in Bocas we will be sure to stay here again!

My husband and I spent almost three weeks in Bocas. We cannot say enough nice things about our stay at Villa Wiona or about its wonderful hosts. From the moment we arrived to our flight out everything was perfect. The (amazing) hosts (and each of their family members) ensured that we had everything we needed and then some. They made a point to be available at a moment’s notice, while making sure that we had all the privacy we would want. Steve and Angie are full of great recommendations; take them! The room was meticulously cleaned and had great amenities. This included access to bikes, kayaks, snorkel equipment, laundry service, in room massage, and a personal chef. After traveling all over the islands of Bocas del Toro, I have no doubt that we picked the most perfect and most beautiful place to stay. If you stay anywhere else, you are doing it wrong! Thank you, thank you, thank you Angie, Steve, Connor, and Riese - and thank you for sharing your furry family with us!
