Castello is beautiful place, worth to see. I didn’t have regular tasting- just bought some glasses. The rose wine is amazing, top of region (of course it’s not rose wine region) from red wines, SAN Lorenzo is perfect, it’s quite expensive but worth it.

Visitare il Castello di Ama è molto più di una semplice degustazione: è un viaggio sensoriale e culturale nel cuore del Chianti classico. Il borgo è incantevole, perfettamente conservato, immerso in colline di una bellezza commovente. I vini? Straordinari.

Bel luogo dove soggiornare e gustare piatti di ottimo gusto... Consiglio

Yelp
This is very far away from anywhere you are and if you don't book at least two days in advance they will not let you taste their wine before you buy it. They have a wine bar room that you can buy a glass but it is extremely modern and does not have that classic romantic feel we drive so far for .

Yelp
This is the most interesting vineyard I have ever been to because of their unique modern art collection set in this beautiful Tuscan setting. We had a tour with six other people of their wine cellars, art, and olive oil production. Then, we had a wine and olive oil tasting with bread. Visiting this winery was one of the top experiences of our trip to Italy. I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys art or wine or both!

Yelp
If heaven was on earth, this would be the place. The food, the views, the cheese and the people were simply divine. Tuscany? No, TuscanME!

Yelp
First time here and it was worth the 1 hour trip. The ambiance and the wine was outstanding. Jessica who presented the wines was adorable and very informative. Highly recommend the wine and the winery.

Yelp
We visited Castello di Ama on our trip to Italy with high hopes but unfortunately were not wowed. The German lady who did our (very quick) wine tasting was not engaging and seemed annoyed that we were bothering her to give us a tasting. At 3 small glasses for €15 it was not a cheap tasting and was finished in about 10 minutes. She rolled her eyes when we asked her to clarify why 2012 was not a good year for wine in the area. When we asked about the lemon tree and grapes in a greenhouse on the property she once again seemed extremely annoyed and very rudely clarified they were persimmons and grapes were for desert wine (as If we should have known). She was very dismissive to me and only addressed my husband (and we were in now at rude or loud, we are polite Canadians) Not a welcoming environment at all which is too bad because the property was very pretty.

Yelp
I had the good fortune of meeting the owner and his son at the Grand Cru tasting in TO, to me these guys are rockstars of Tuscan wine. But interacting with them their warmth and humility was refreshing. I'd wholeheartedly encourage people to visit them for their delicious wine and good company.
