Villa Playa Tayrona

There are so many things we liked about Villa Playa! Starting with breathtaking location, beautiful architecture and design, comfortable large rooms, intimate atmosphere. Next will be Villa Playa’s team and services: professional, friendly and genuine. Food service was amazing! We were looking forward to every meal as they were so delicious and fresh. We arranged for a massage-twice! It was a high quality and great value. Near by Los Angelos beach was our favourite morning walk spot, stunning! Tayrona National Park was near by, two easy day trips. Our stay at Villa Playa felt like a real treat! It is memorable 4 days and we certainly hope to be back.

Located on a private road, this hotel is modern and luxurious. iI has only 6 guest rooms, plus expansive spaces indoors and out. The food is excellent, and reasonable. And the staff is lovely. You feel you have their complete attention.

We had an unforgettable stay at Villa Playa Tayrona and can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home with their warm hospitality. The location is absolutely incredible—the stunning views of nature, and waking up to the sounds of birds and other animals was truly marvelous. The food was outstanding—each meal was thoughtfully prepared, and there were plenty of delicious vegetarian options. The kitchen staff, who are wonderful ladies, truly made every encounter special. Our room was the highlight of our stay—spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. It had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The pool was also excellent, offering a refreshing cooling with a stunning view. Villa Playa Tayrona offers a peaceful, intimate setting with only a few rooms, making it feel like a private paradise. The combination of exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, and delicious food made it one of our favorite places to stay in Colombia.

The most incredible and special location with the most spectacular hotel! The Hotel only has six rooms, making it very private and this also really made it feel like home! The open kitchen with the friendly and wonderful kitchen staff produced the most delicious dishes. The whole property is super clean and everywhere you look there is nature, jungle and the ocean! We couldn't stop looking at the view! The location is a short walk away from two beaches and a beach bar with the most amazing sunsets!|The rooms are big and spacious and the bed very comfortable! The staff here were very friendly and helpful and were excellent helping us with everything from transportation to advice! ||This was the highlight of our trip and we would come back again!

Initial impressions here should be disregarded. The hotel has a beautiful location with a view across the river to the Caribbean. It's peaceful with only 6 rooms and a lovely swimming pool. But what makes it even more special is the rota of lovely staff who produce wonderful food from a basic kitchen.

Fairly basic but comfortable rooms, excellent location, great sunset views. Helpful, well-conmected staff, attentive service. Beatiful location to have a peaceful getaway, stay here a few nights around a trip to Tayrona, you won’t regret it.

Villa Playa Tayrona is simply magical. Situated right where the river meets the sea, mornings are a delight with a daily ‘bird show’ of various water birds starting their day. The rooms are large and comfortable with a King bed and a separate full size bed. So the room sleeps 3-4 people. The bathrooms are large. The hotel only has 6 rooms so it feels very private and exclusive. There is a team of 4 women that prepare delicious and fresh meals as well as a manager that is available for other needs such as booking transportation to Santa Marta. The hotel is stocked with various games and books to entertain yourself and an honor bar for wine, beer and water. There is a gorgeous pool that attracts bats at night that are a delight to watch. It’s also a short walk to the beach, but there is no swimming there or in the river. It’s important to understand how remote the hotel is. There is a cliff top bar a five minute walk up the road, but that’s it. Without a car, there is nowhere else to eat accept at the hotel. Santa Marta is 45 minutes away. We had no trouble arranging tours to Minca and other fun pursuits like river tubing, but if you don’t arrange something off property, there is literally nowhere to go. If you are looking for peace, quiet, gorgeous views and impeccable service, Villa Playa Tayrona is the place.
