Villa Retreat

Excellent location of the property, we took signature suite rooms which were the top category and had the best view. My family had spent most of the day sitting in the lawn ,chilling , looking at the views full of clouds. All the major tourist destinations are just metres away, be it lake, park or the market area , all are at walkable distance. The staff was very welcoming and full of warmth. I did not find good vegetarian restaurant options in the city, So we chose to have our meals at the hotel's restaurant only, and the food was good, tasty, and fresh. Even the complimentary breakfast was good with just enough variety. However,I would just ask for more breakfast options, but it was enough and tasty. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for a relaxed vacation with family and kids.

We stayed in the mini sun room. The room was tiny, just enough to two people. There isn't much place to move around after you have placed your luggage. But what the room lacked in space it made up with the charm of a cosy window seat. |The food was delicious but many items weren't available from the menu.|The staff was courtesy and kind. They were also punctual in taking your meal orders in advance so you can enjoy a hot meal when you arrive at the dining area. |The best part of the resort was the location. Give the parking chaos of Kodaikanal, we could park our car in the hotel grounds and visit all the famous sights like Croakers Walk, Kodai lake, Botanical gardens etc.

The view from the dining area is really beautiful. The breakfast is also pretty good. But when it comes to overall quality of the stay, the cleanliness, the room quality, the sheets, it's not excellent, just manageable I would say. Service is on time. Smooth check in and check out experience and the location is right at the heart of the town.

Rooms were well maintained and neat and clean. The staff was very kind and polite and helped me whenever i required something. The service was great and we have a great stay at villa retreat. The rooms with city view was also very good. I wish I could get the rooms with hill view at the same price. The food quality was also very good and we enjoyed

Rooms are okiesh... but lighting has to be improved it's very dull lighting in rooms. It's in prime location of kodaikanal, after 7 pm entire villa looks like hunted house just because it's poor lighting inside and outside of villa If you're booking for the view 🪟 go for balcony view rooms, you'll get balcony view rooms but it's very costly than normal rooms for a night! (TBH it's not worthy) Make sure you check in exactly on time - they'll ask you to checkout sharp at 10 am to 11 am no matter how late you checked in Staffs are very professional and polite, food is good in taste, but they don't have wide range of menu. Over-all experience: Very costly, food is good, rooms are fine, location is prime

A surprise find in the middle of the town. Location is its USP with many tourist attractions within walking distance. We found ourselves heading out often for a quick stroll to Bryant park and Coaker's walk which are at stone's throw away from the resort. There is not much to roam inside the property though, but well the maintained premises make up for it.||We chose Signature Suite Room. It was sufficiently and tastefully furnished. Beddings and linens were clean. We didn't find any issues with the cleanliness, overall.||We got complimentary breakfast during our stay. Taste was good. Breakfast spread was limited. We didn't get any stomach issues so I guess quality was good.||Our room came with a wooden fireplace and had it setup for one night. Mr. Raj who helped us in setting up explained us the process. He was a nice guy to chat with.||Resorts staffs, at most times, were eager to help and made their best effort to address our asks. Just that it took couple of callouts to get their attention and lure them to the front office desk! Some security staffs were bit preachy. We didn't face anything offending, so that's ok.||Special mention to Priyadarshini at the front desk, for her assistance throughout the stay. She just doesn't like to say "No".||Overall, a nice boutique resort with all the convenience we needed.||Important ask: You have listed TV as one of the amenities but it doesn't work at the need of the hour. Please make sure it has an active subscription throughout the stay. Don't make the guests call you daily to fix this basic need.

The stay was good and decent. It is at prime location with one of the best views. |Clean and hygienic room. Food and service was amazing |One thing that can be improved is the lighting in the room. It is very dull. Otherwise everything about the property was decent for the amount paid.

stay at the villa retreat was pure bliss for my family and me. We found true peace in the quiet surroundings and were constantly mesmerized by the beautiful scenery. Every meal was a delight, adding to the overall tranquility. It was the perfect escape.|
