Villa Roca Boutique Resort & Suites

We spent 5 nights at Villa Roca and really enjoyed our stay; the hotel gardens are basically an extension of Manuel Antonio National Park so you can spot animals at any time (monkeys, macaws, iguanas etc.), which was pretty amazing. The room was comfortable and the staff friendly. We loved having cocktails by the pool, overlooking the jungle and the ocean. What made the experience so unique is how quiet and peaceful the property is, with great ocean views, and the fabulous service we received from Albert, the restaurant manager, who hosted us every morning for breakfast. Albert is such an asset to Villa Roca, he is so attentive and informative, always smiling and happy to have a chat. The hotel is also walking distance to the village centre where you can find lots of cafés and nice restaurants.

Small pool area is really nice offering a perfect view over the bay. Drinks are served directly to your place. Garden and surrounding area well maintained. However the room itself is very basic with a high need for refurbishment. Besides the outdated room, the room was not properly cleaned (ice cream cup of previous guests left in the corner…). Breakfast not included.

Charming Boutique hotel. Great views from bar/restaurant. Room was spacious and staff was excellent. Delicious fruit plate for breakfast with a few jungle friends. Definitely will be back. Great location for Manuel Antonio park and plenty of Restaurants in walking distance.

This ocean view villa provides an ocean view from any room and much needed peace and quiet. The cleaning staff did an excellent job and the booking staff were flexible to change my dates and offered assistance finding tours. I definitely would book a stay here again since I enjoyed my full week here. Additional bonuses are the restaurant, ocean view swimming pool, and jacuzzi. Everything is kept so clean.

If you’re on your honeymoon or celebrating an anniversary, this hotel is the perfect choice. It offers breathtaking views—whether from your room or the pool—and the sunsets are absolutely dreamy. The rooms are beautifully designed, making for a truly special stay. I’ve been a frequent guest since the hotel first opened, and while it is no longer exclusively for the LGBTQ+ community, it remains an adults-only, peaceful, and exclusive retreat. In fact, during our last stay, about 70% of the guests were from the LGBTQ+ community, and everyone was incredibly friendly. The front desk service was exceptional, welcoming us warmly as always. The restaurant and cocktails were top-notch, and the food was simply outstanding. Without a doubt, I would come back a thousand times over. Not only does this hotel boast the best views, but it also has an amazing team that makes every stay unforgettable!

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at Villa Roca. We had a nice suite that was huge and felt very clean. Rooms come with a kitchenette so you can make coffee in your room each morning. The staff is also very kind, including the receptionist, cleaning staff, and bartenders who work at the pool restaurant. The views from the rooms and from the infinity pool are amazing. You can wake up every morning to the sea, and in the evenings, watch a beautiful sunset. It was priced well for the value and cleanliness. It was also in a great location, easy to walk to restaurants or walk down a (steep!) hill to the beach. It’s also very gay friendly so we felt very safe and welcomed the entire time. I’d be happy to stay here again next time we’re in Manuel Antonio.

This is a beautiful, well located property. Rooms are large and well appointed. Front desk was super helpful with excursions and stupid questions. Pool was amazing and the drink service fantastic. Did not try the food but it looked good. I would stay here again.

This charming hotel is a dream! The views are spectacular, the staff is is exceptional, and the property is clean and well maintained. The location is conveniently located right in the center of everything, and is just minutes from the national park. You are surrounded by wildlife every day right from your room! If you are visiting Manuel Antonio I would highly recommend staying here. It is a small hotel so it feels private and quiet. They have gone above and beyond to make this property feel luxe and relaxing.
