We stayed in an apartment at the Villa Sirena in the lovely fishing village of Cala Figuera.||The apartments are over the road from the hotel and ours was up a rather steep flight of uneven stone stairs to the pool area, it was quite a task carrying our suitcases up, and then later down, those stairs.||Our apartment was large but somewhat dated in fittings, e.g. a shower head on a hose which clipped to the wall at the end of the bath fed by a mixer tap. We didn’t have any problems with a lack of hot water, but others in our party complained about this.||The breakfast in the hotel was reasonably good, we were on a b&b basis, but whether it was worth €14 (the price on the door) is debatable. The food itself was a good mix of continental with hot dishes that varied each day on a 3 or 4 day cycle; in particular the scrambled eggs were delicious, more rustic than in some hotels but a really good egg taste; I suspect they used fresh local eggs.||The balcony next to the bar area (which only stayed open until 9.30 pm) has possibly one of the best views in the village being at the start of the inlet into Cala Figuera.|
