We stayed in room 206 which is the interior room with lots of wood panelling. It’s absolutely huge with a large bathroom as well. Comfortable bed and very effective AC. Yes it has a bit of a mosquito problem but I’m not sure if that’s something that hotels can realistically control in Thailand. It can get noisy since it’s right by the internal stairs that guests use to access their rooms - nothing that ear plugs can’t fix, and there is no noise from the street because of no external windows which is a huge plus. Good location in old city. Pool is lovely and the staff very accommodating. Good breakfast options and excellent coffee. The staff kindly allowed us to change our dates on arrival with no issue or fees at all. Couldn’t have been more helpful.

We read through a lot of reviews before booking this hotel, I did worry about some of the issues raised, but we decided to give it a chance and I'm so happy that we did.||The staff were friendly and very helpful, the room was huge, well furnished with some really nice touches, and the bathrooms had enormous showers. If you are expecting modern style then this isn't for you, but if you like a bit of charm then it is perfect.||We had a first floor balcony which gave a view of the pool and the street. The pool area was lovely though would benefit from a few more loungers.||The real benefit it that you are close to the heart of the old town, just a few minutes walk to the Sunday night market, and for me as a vegan there were 3 vegan restaurants within a 5 minute walk.||We didn't have any issues with mosquito's or smells or green pool mentioned in other reviews. I do agree that the fruit for breakfast should be covered though, which is just a minor oversight.||We would definitely return if we ever visit Chiang Mai again which we hope to do. ||Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay

I booked this hotel for 3 king suite rooms for 4 nights. Unfortunately, the service was subpar. When we arrived they attempted to charge us for an extra bed for our 9 year old for one of the rooms when there was no information about an extra charge. They finally took out the extra bed charge and honored our price. The rooms were traditional lanna style... nice size but very outdated. The plumbing and water pressure is very weak. The housekeeping services was cold, inconsistent and denied one of our rooms extra towels until we insisted 2 towels for 3 people is not adequate. They finally relented and gave an extra towel but when delivering they asked we give the old wet towels that were being used to dry off the kids! We had to fight about that. The jets of the hot tubs spewed black stuff when the kids were "hot tubbing". The pool had slime at the bottom. Very murky. The breakfast was rated high but us 9 guests were all disappointed except for a decent coffee. The elevator is very small. 2 adults and 2 luggages worth of space only. Very crammed. Unfortunately, we will not stay here again and it was our most expensive booking for our 3 weeks up and down Thailand. Upside is the location, lobby decor and the warm front desk greeting.

The hotel is stunning and well-maintained. The pool area is absolutely perfect. The food at the restaurant is excellent, and the cocktails are fantastic! The quality is very high. The location is central, but there is a few minutes' walk down a fairly quiet street.

Great hotel, in old town. The hotel has a lot of character, if you want ultra modern lux this isn't for you. There is a pool available that's a great way to beat the summer heat, with 3 lounge chairs on each side ( which we found to be an odd number ) on demand drinks available. If you opt in for the breakfast buffet it's actually quite good, recommend the French ommelette, latte and fresh ginger beet juice. The rooms are nice, alot of dark wood. We found it a bit loud being next to the street but always travel with ear plugs. Minor improvements: The house keeping could have been slightly better. Minor oversights in the bathroom such as burnt out bulb and degraded shower caulking. Little improvements like this could truly elevate it. The devil is in the details. Overall, wonderful experience, attentive staff, great location. Walking distance to everything in old Chiang Mai including the famous Sunday night market.

Great little hotel situated perfectly to explore the city. The staff were fantastic and went beyond the call of duty, sending a parcel on to our next hotel. Breakfast was great and we had fantastic time. I would highly recommend this little gem if you are thinking about visiting Chia ng Mai.

My stay at the Villa Sirilanna Hotel was overall enjoyable, but a few aspects left me disappointed.||Positives:||- The staff: The warm and friendly staff were a highlight of my stay. They were always helpful and welcoming, creating a lovely atmosphere.||- The rooms: Beautiful and authentic, with a charming, traditional vibe. The balcony was a great spot to relax, and the whirlpool bathtub added an extra touch of luxury.||- The location: Perfectly situated for exploring the area, making it very convenient.||Negatives:||- Double bed request not honored: I booked this hotel at the start of 2024 for a stay in January 2025, and my request for a double bed was confirmed. However, upon arrival, I was informed that all double bed rooms were already taken. This was unacceptable, especially given how far in advance I booked.||- Unpleasant odor near the restaurant: There was a strong, unpleasant smell near the restaurant as soon as you stepped out of the elevator. It was off-putting and discouraged me from wanting to have breakfast there.||- No accessibility accommodations: I was on crutches during my stay, and navigating the hotel was quite challenging. The lack of accessibility options was disappointing and made my stay less comfortable.||In summary, the Villa Sirilanna Hotel has many great features, particularly its charming rooms and wonderful staff, but there are areas that need improvement. Addressing these issues would make the experience much better. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but it could have been much more enjoyable with a few changes.
