Pleasantly surprised by this little bed and breakfast. Rooms are spotless with fluffy towels, comfy bed, and nice linens. Other nice touches include nice pottery pitcher with matching cups, best hotel dryer I’ve ever experienced and daily housekeeping!||The common areas are very inviting and always tidy. It really does feel like a home as the decor flows throughout the house. I believe the inn was full this weekend (biggest festival of the year) yet we didn’t feel crowded at all. ||Our hosts Hugo and Omar were kind, helpful and mild mannered. ||Easy walk to Centro Histórico. There’s also a nice walk on Paseo de la Pressa just up the street where you can see stately homes formerly owned by the town hotshots (mine owners). ||I don’t have much experience with bed and breakfasts but so happy we picked this one!

This was my sixth trip to Guanajuato and this is the best hotel I have stayed in. The 5-star reviews of Villa Sueno Azul are completely spot-on; cleanliness, breakfast, security, location, etc. I enjoyed the multiple walks to & from Zona Centro every day, more opportunities to stop and pet the local dogs. Very quiet secure sleeping experience, truly a "home away from home" in every sense. Very helpful staff, excellent english spoken. Fresh fruit, juice, yogurt, cereal, sweet rolls, coffee for breakfast.....kept me going strong until early afternoon, and I walked all morning, including climbing up to El Pipila twice a day. Keep the address handy and any taxi can take you right to the hotel. Then you can begin your magic Guanajuato experience!

Our room was the Gladiola room with private balcony which was very nice to have. A bit noisy during the night with dogs barking with the balcony door open. Much better when door shut but then quite warm in the room with the unusually warm temperatures in May. ||||Breakfast was at 8:00 am every day except Sunday which was at 9:00 am. Mali served us breakfast on the Patio with the fountain with many lush plants surrounding the patio. The breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, toast if so desired and while we were enjoying a very good cup of coffee, Mali brought back delicious still warm pasteries from the local bakery. Coffee and Tea were also available at anytime during the day which was lovely after a day of sightseeing to enjoy in Lidia's garden.||||The roof top terrace which is Lidia's garden is a lovely place to relax surrounded by many plants that are well looked after by Lidia. She also looked after our room keeping everything clean. ||||We stayed a week at Villa Sueno Azul and enjoyed our stay very much. The location was excellent with a short and easy walk to Centro. We loved Guanjuato and if we return we will definitely stay at Villa Sueno Azul again and would recommend it highly.||||Thank you Mali for looking after us so well. Ivar & Gunda

Villa Sueno Azul provided a safe, lovely and friendly environment during our week-long stay. The rooms are pretty and comfortable and breakfast was always just right. The common spaces in the inn are beautifully furnished. Lidia has gone out of her way to showcase the plants in the breakfast area and the roof garden. And all of the other reviewers were right about Mali. She is the best. She (and Dacia on weekends) were always right there if you needed them, offering suggestions in perfect English. Oh, and did I mention, great location for getting around in El Centro.

Located on the road leading into the centre from the bus station, this small B&B is a 10-15 minute stroll downhill to the centre. On arrival we upgraded to an interior room as traffic noise may have been an issue, and enjoyed quiet nights...apart from a thunderstorm! Continental style buffet breakfast with fruit juice, cereals, toast, cakes set the day going, and was taken in a photogenic courtyard. Hot water and coffee were always available. Mali provided a friendly, helpful, cheerful welcome and service with sound advice without being intrusive. ||||We would thoroughly recommend this B&B as a base for visiting this intriguing, colourful and vibrant city. A morning walk up to the Pipila monument, rather than from the centre, proved a good decision and less strenuous!

Wonderful hotel and priced right. The host, Mali, was INCREDIBLE in terms of her knowledge of the area and making you feel welcome and at home. I will definitely return although I booked a front room which borders the street and if you are not a sound sleeper it may keep you awake. The buses are right on that street, although not after about 10 pm and they do not start again until about 545 am (I know, early for some!). I will return and book the inside rooms the next time.

Cozy, clean, and reasonably priced with a beautiful outside area for breakfast, cocktails, or just relax. In addition, there’s an extraordinary hands on, friendly and very helpful manager, Maile who goes out of her way to make you feel welcome along with providing lots of useful information. ||If the opportunity presents itself, I’ll stay here again. Conveniently located, it takes approx 10 mins to walk into the central historic area. Along the way you’ll have a chance to see friendly faces, stop for a cup of coffee, or get that extra bottle of water as you start or end your day. It’s a perfect place to stay and has great free WiFi!

I stayed in a cute room with a lovely balcony that had a view of the hills as well as the patio below. Proprietress speaks excellent English and was very helpful and accommodating. It was nice to have hot water and access to a refrigerator and microwave.
