Villa Svetoni Wine Resort (Montepulciano, Tuscany) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"For those who dream of an escape to the Tuscan countryside, it’s hard to imagine a more idyllic getaway than Villa Svetoni Wine Resort, just a few minutes’ drive from the hilltop town of Montepulciano. The hotel is located inside an 18th-century villa surrounded by olive groves and picturesque vineyards — the source of the delicate Sangiovese-style reds the Svetoni family has been producing here since 1865. Rooms are charmingly rustic, with high ceilings, exposed wood beams, hardwood floors, and handwoven rugs. All have writing desks, framed vintage photos of the winery, and windows opening to views of the bucolic landscapes outside, plus modern stone-lined bathrooms with walk-in showers." - Tablet Hotels

Our large group stopped here for lunch and wine tasting. This beautiful resort is located in Gracciano, Montepulciano Italy in the picturesque rolling hills. They led us through the grapevines to our outdoor tables that they had set up in the shade. They showed us where the family started the business and this day they brought out the entire family to serve us including Nonna. They have some very tasty and high end wines, our group sent home many bottles. We had an enjoyable lunch of cheeses, meats, olives and pasta.

We stayed in junior suite for 3 nights and were not impressed. Expected something like SLH vibes, but it's definitely not on same level. Good: 1) location close to Montepulciano - biggest town around 2) beds are comfy 3) water pressure is good 4) freshly renovated and modern Bad: 1) noise. Walls and floors are thin so you hear everything going on around 2) nobody mentioned anything about wine, we had to ask ourselves to get information. No property tour or explanation about amenities, we had to ask about everything. 3) spa - they charge 70 euros per person so you can access hot tub and sauna for 100 minutes. Pool in not heated. For comparison we went to Adler resort and spa and got day pass for 147 euros that included a massage and unlimited access to all the facilities (6 different steam rooms and saunas, heated pool, thermal waters, highly recommend) 4) view. Almost no view. Staying in Tuscany would be nice to have a better view on hills and valley from the rooms and from terrace 5) breakfast was sub-par. They charge 8 euros extra for eggs In conclusion the hotel wasn't horrible, I'd even say it's 3.5 rating, not 3, but for same money or less you can find better deal

Absolutely perfect ! The villa retains its Tuscan charm while being equipped with all modern amenities. The suite was cozy, spacious and comfortable. Small details like ample charging points, variety of tea and coffee selection, prompt housekeeping, soundproof, heating, blackout windows, same day laundry were all taken care of and we had a restful time. |We were traveling with a toddler so we had some more requests and everyone was very kind and helpful. ||Food - breakfast spread was nice but small as compared to big hotel chains. For lunch can order some items which they can prepare fresh. They have a Michelin star restaurant and you can make a reservation for lunch and dinner. Otherwise you can drive to nearby village or towns. Most eating places are closed in the afternoon so it is better to plan ahead especially if traveling with kids.||Service - the staff was very kind and helpful and it was a pleasant and memorable stay. ||The villa is gorgeous and everything is new and beautiful.

Any bad review is unfair and being a bit snobby in my opinion. After a bad Airbnb experience we slipped in for a night to catch our breath. We ended up staying 3 nights. Rooms so clean and up scale. Restaurant was a good experience. Pool refreshing. Staff was top top notch. 12 rooms. Amazing experience.

Truly one of the most beautiful locations in the already beautiful Tuscany. Rooms were beautiful and very comfy, great amenities and pool. The wine tour and tasting was so much fun and very informative. Staff went above and beyond consistently, showing immense hospitality and kindness. They let me buy a bathrobe and even packed us lunch for our trip home! So incredible, would come back in a heartbeat!

We had an amazing time at Villa Svetoni, a very charming Tuscan countryside hotel with a great Michelin-starred restaurant. We really loved the tour around the winery with Ivan, it was absolutely brilliant and we learned so much about the local winemaking culture with him.

Amazing small boutique property. Unsure of total rooms. But rarely saw other guests. Staff was very friendly, rooms|Was spacious and had great views of their vineyard. Amazing pool surrounded by vines. Onsite restaurant, breakfast onsite. Did Vespa rental straight from hotel, definitely recommend. Wont stay anywhere else while visiting Montepulciano area.

We stayed here for one night and we were very disappointed. First it was with the room, which was a connecting one. We really didn’t liked this and the noise with the adjacent room was very loud and prevented us to sleep. Then it was with the service, the people who work there were not very pleasant with us. Moreover when you stay in a wine resort you expect to be talk about, well wine ! And it was never mention to us I will finish with this dreadful breakfast. You have next to nothing to eat, everything is extra. And 8€ for a small plate of scrambled eggs seems like a bad joke
