Villa Vedici

We had a great time here with our two girls 6 and 8 years old, and our friends with three kids. Lots of activities available, two pools. Lovely sunsets at the river. Really friendly owners and staff. Good food, good wine, happy days 😄 A special shout out to our friend Roldan from the Philippines who is staying there as a kitesurfing instructor at the moment! The kitesurfing facilities is amazing! Maybe I’ll try next time I go ♥️

I had the most refreshing stay at this stunning villa! The serene ambiance, framed by lush greenery and peaceful trees. Instantly made me feel relaxed. The highlight for me was the blue pool for soaking up the calm and letting time drift by. Room was so clean, and met a hospitality service by everyone. Of course i'll back to this place.

We stayed here for a few days on a five week tour of Cambodia and Thailand. It was unlike any place I have stayed before with an approximately 50:50 split of very friendly long term expat residents from UK, US, Canada and Australia of the ones we talked to which gave it a very good vibe. The main swimming pool was well used and the open air bar restaurant was a well used gathering area. The food was good, with a special call out to the breakfast rice soups.

A lovely old hotel on the river bank. We had a king river view room with its own patio. It was very comfortable and well appointed although the shower was quite weak. The staff were very pleasant and efficient. The hotel is a bit run down in some places but for the price it was an excellent option and to be frank it felt very comfortable. Only a short tuk tuk ride in to town with loads of restaurants and bars.

I have been to Kampot 3 times and staying at this place has been the most horrible experience. The building we were in was very noisy with people doing karaoke and partying loud until late night. We notified the reception two times without much improvements. It was already almost 12 am when the noise finally died down. The hotel lacks proper noise management and failed to take effective action to address the complaints. We came here to relax, it was such a disappointment. I paid 80 bucks per night during the low season, I expect better environment.

Location is perfect away from town an so quiet. Food and service were excellent. Rooms however do need to be updated a bit. Despite that.we love the place and will be back.

I purchased a superior (more expensive) room. The AC and fan in were broken. I went to reception to ask for help, I was met with outright hostility from the owner himself, who told me “go leave my property, I’m not going to bend over backwards for you.” This level of unprofessionalism and disrespect is unacceptable. He could have simply given me a fan and apologised. He refused. ||To make matters worse, the owner was very drunk and aggressive . His aggressive and erratic behavior made me feel unsafe. It was clear he had no concern for the well-being of his guests.||I have lived in Cambodia for a long time, spending time in villages and understanding the local culture. ||This experience at villa Vidici was completely out of line with the hospitality I have come to expect. In addition to the broken appliances, my room was permeated by a strong sewer smell, rat holes, and rat droppings. The property was paradise: now a dump. ||Not to mention flooding in bathroom. And broken screen fixed with just toilet paper. ||Never stay here

Super host. Friendly staff quiet, inexpensive, close to town. Great for conferences, meetings, watching formula 1 and relaxing. Lots of activities nearby.
