We stayed two nights here, following a birding trip of the wider area. This is a beautifully finished hotel with white wooden decor, ornate gates & lighting and a lovely little garden with a small swimming pool and plenty of seating. WiFi was good.||||Our room was equally pretty and full of character, again finished to a very high standard. The shower was excellent with very good flow and heat control. The friendly resident cat kept paying us visits.||||Breakfast was served as a buffet of fruits, breads, spreads & freshly squeezed orange juice etc, plus an interesting selection of dishes cooked to order, all with a high-end feel. However the ordering process was somewhat over-complicated and the buffet food had a tendency to run out and not get replaced very quickly.||||The staff were lovely - friendly and helpful.

What a lovely hotel a few blocks from the main square in Salta. It is an old building but beautifully restored with a new addition (you wouldn’t know it was new!) - loads of character and a beautiful garden and pool. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable and quiet. The best part by far, though, was the breakfast offering - several different options. I had scrambled eggs and spinach and my husband had a chia seed pudding with fruit and both were exceptional. The best breakfast we had anywhere in 4 weeks of travel around Argentina.

We stayed at Villa Vicuna for 3 nights in September and loved our stay.||The hotel is extremely well located, only a 5 minute walk from the main square.||The staff were wonderful and the receptionist staff spoke fantastic English. ||Our room was ready on arrival even though we arrived earlier than the stated check in time. Our room was lovely; very comfortable bed, great shower, safe, air con (if needed). It was also extremely quiet after coming from BA. Couldn’t fault it. ||The hotel style was very colonial with a lovely outdoor seating area and pool although it wasn’t warm enough for us to use it. ||Breakfast was delicious, with a choice of fruit, toast, yogurt, pastries and then a menu for something cooked. The coffee was particularly good.||We absolutely loved Salta. We heard no one speaking English the whole time we were there which we loved as we really immersed ourselves in the city.||Places we ate which were particularly good were La Salteneria (fantastic empanadas and provoleta cheese) and El Meson (found in the Alejandro hotel).||We hope to return in future and would certainly stay at Villa Vicuna again.

I'm 62 years old and I've traveled throughout the world. This is the best property I've ever stayed it. The facility is great, no doubt. But, it's the staff who make it special: they make you feel welcome and are geared toward making your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

By far the best hotel we stayed in Argentina. It's just beautiful and a very quiet well-located spot within the city. We were truly impressed by how attentive the staff was to our needs. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The attention to details is extremely well done, they've thought of everything which made our stay just perfect. I don't typically write romantic reviews (quite the opposite) but If you stay in Salta, you must stay there. You won't regret it, mark my word.

Amazing hotel, well placed in the centre of Salta with very good breakfast and cute architecture. Staff very helpful too. They suggest you a parking closed by if needed for 14.000 pesos.

Very nicely located close to the city center. ||Very, very nice staff, at the reception, at breakfast and when cleaning the room. You really feel welcome.|The rooms are not huge, (approx. 25-30 sq m I guess) but the bed is large and very good. So is the bathroom, with a large shower and enough space. ||The "simple" room only have light through the inner corridor. You may therefore prefer the two "luxury" rooms on the first floor, overlooking the inner-garden, where you will have day-light.||Breakfast is spectacular and really incredible for this type of hotel.
