Chill atmosphere, good selection of rotating beer taps both international and locally brewed. The refrigerated bottle selection of beers is extensive, and well organised by style. Staff are knowledgeable and willing to help. Outdoor seating is available, which is fun. Family-friendly beer bar. If you want food, you can bring your own.. Wine is also available draught.

Google
Great spot to get a huge selection of local and international beers. Nice tap selection plus bottles can be consumed on site. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

I want to love this place, but we need to agree to just be friends. It's me not you, really. You've got an awesome beer selection on and off tap. Perfect location. Nice crowd with interesting people. But I'm a simple guy. I like a pint of beer that tastes great where I can just sit and chill with friends. When I'm with you, I feel inadequate. Like I'm supposed to know which combination of hops are best or appreciate the interplay between the citrus notes with earthy woodiness. I'll come visit for sure, but you and I are on different paths. But, ahh, I do keep coming back. Like googling an old flame, I sit, reminisce, and enjoy the moment. And the past. And wonder about the future.

Google
The kind of beer shop I’d open if I could. Excellent selection. Always fresh. Helpful and friendly staff. If you like beer, this is a must visit in Honolulu.

If you want craft beers, you should visit here. There have tap room and bottle shop. Tap and bottle lists are beautiful. Specially really hard to get good craft beers in hawaii but you can find good beers in village bottle shop.

Gareth “Gaz” Baker

Google
Cool bar with heaps of great options for beer and the bottle shop at front. Was greeted immediately on the way in asking if I wanted to try a sample and then, even though the bar was busy, got served straight away, friendly and reliable staff.

Where the best new beers are at in Honolulu! This place always has a rotating tap. They bring in new and interesting beers. I like that you can grab some bottle for home too. The decor is clean and industrial. It's an intimate place. I personally like the big shared table and the atmosphere to inspire conversations among new friends. They offer a military discount- nice!

Google
Great beer. Great people. Great experience. Trifecta! Constantly changing taps. You will definitely find a beer you love here.

Yelp
Great wifi and great drinks, can't beat it! The first time I stumbled in here was when I was in SALT waiting for my husband and this place was open; Starbucks was closed so I needed to wait somewhere. I'm not a beer drinker and I told that to the bartender and they didn't mind at all. After some conversing, we found out maybe I'm just drinking the wrong beer. I told them the only one I've ever enjoyed was Asahi and they suggested that they have something very similar. They walked over to the fridge, pulled it out, and because of their sincerity and conversation I bought it knowing that if I didn't like it, my husband would. Turns out, I really like it! That experience really set the precedent for this place for me. I love spending time in SALT Kaka'ako, but I don't come here as often as I like since you do have to pay for parking and I tend to stick around for a few hours to get some work done. This means I also need some good wifi to be productive. This place is a great stop! On the random days I come here I love seeing the pau hanas happening or the corporate get-togethers and even just people there to enjoy a good drink in a good atmosphere with good company. Guess you could say it's perfect for people watching. I genuinely hope this spot sticks around and never leaves, it's perfect for SALT and different. Also have to mention that the few times I've stopped by here you can taste their beers on tap as well which is pretty convenient for me. Saves me the guess work and maybe I'll find something I like. There's a bar for everyone in SALT and maybe Village Bottle Shop is for you!

Yelp
Hoping management sees this. Village has been a favorite spot for us since it opened in 2016, and we've made so many great memories here over the years. We've seen many chapters of incredible staff come through Village, and they're a big reason we've grown so fond of this place. The staff has always been friendly and amazing, but the recent change to no longer allow dogs inside has been a real disappointment. Normally, outdoor seating wouldn't be an issue, but the heat reflecting off the windows during the day makes it unbearable for our flat-faced dog. On a recent evening visit, we thought it would be okay, but a sudden downpour left us and our dog soaked since dogs still aren't allowed inside--even temporarily. The staff was apologetic and tried to help, but their hands were tied by management. There's no clear signage about this policy, and the current setup isn't practical for pets in extreme heat or bad weather. We really appreciate the staff's kindness, but until management figures this out, we'll be heading to other dog-friendly spots nearby. It's a shame, because this place used to feel like home.

Yelp
I finally got to try village bottle shop and tasting room! It was a rainy day but i was lucky enough to find street parking :) VBSTR is located right in the center of SALT, surrounded by other eateries, Starbucks, orange theory, etc. you order at the front and you pick up at the front. I like their easy payment system too. The space is nice, bright, and clean. Their ambiance is casual and mid loud. They have live music in the corner of the room. There are options to Pop open a bottle or a can of beer/wine from their fridges with a 'cork' fee of $3. My friend and i stuck with their drafted/handcrafted beers. Not gonna lie, 1 flight of 4 options did me quite well. Im coming back for sure so that i can try EVERYTHING on the menu :p Bathrooms are available & make sure to tag them on your social media!

Yelp
This place never disappoints when you want a variety of craft beer to select from. You can buy on tap or they have refrigerated section to purchase canned or bottled craft from a good selection of breweries, but I believe you'll have to pay a cork fee if you enjoy the refrigerated craft in the restaurant. Ok, my most fave and primarily the reason I go when the craving hits is the food. They have a very small selection and smaller sized serving BUT, it's hella delish. Prices aren't bad at all. I love the half moon pot pie and Pão de queijo, mmm. So satisfying. Service is always friendly and fast, and a very chill spot to hang out. Parking validation available.

Yelp
Came for kaka'akoo night market, nice place to stop for a bite and some beer. Due to the busy nature of the event couldn't do flights but all good. Good variety of beers on tap and even bettering cans, and meat pies were pretty good. Friendly service and nice ambience. Give them a try and judge for yourself.

Yelp
What a find for tourists and locals alike. It's a bar a tasting room and a wall of great beers. They have 18 beers on tap @$8. They have hundreds of single cab beers under $8 some $4... plus corkage fee if you want to enjoy on premise with trendy music great service smooth atmosphere outdoor seating and yeah a bar.
google avatar

Jeanette E.

Yelp
Had a great time here. You can pay at the counter after you order then grab a seat. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The shop has coolers of beer etc that you can buy and drink there but there will be a corkage fee. Parking is located in the building, Salt Parking Garage.

Yelp
Come here multiple times for beers on draft to hang out or pickup to take home. Service has usually been friendly. Very casual ambiance with down to earth people here. Today I tried the Ube Pale Ale and Coffee Ale - both were very good! I like how affordable this place is compared to its competitors. They also small snacks like hand pies, pretzels, etc that are reasonable to soak up your alcohol. I recommend the Cornish beef and Cheddar steak hand pie. The chicken pot pie was so bland though, pretzels were ok. Validation available and plenty of parking inside SALT.

Yelp
Located in SALT at our Kaka'ako, Village Bottle Shop is my favorite place to pick up beers. They have a lot of selections, including beers from Hana Koa Brewery (my go-to) as well as other local breweries. I want to shout out Leilani! She was super helpful when I asked her about recommendations for myself and beers for me to gift to my dad. My ask was for not-too-hoppy hazy IPAs for me and light ales or dark stouts for my dad. Lots of good recommendations and she was super knowledgeable. She also let me sample one of the hazy IPAs that I was going to buy since it was on tap (knowing that I am kinda picky about my hazy beers). Love that they're open 7 days a week. You also can pre-order beers online for pick up in-store if you are looking for something in particular. Thanks Leilani and Village Beer for being the best place to pick up beer in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Village has been our neighborhood watering hole for years and we love the team here! Shoutout to Casey, Tai, PJ, Alisson, Sean, Macie, & Chris who truly make this tasting room such a fun environment. They always have such a great selection of beers, wine and spirits. You can enjoy what they have on tap or pick out anything from their bottle shop. You can even bring food from other surrounding SALT restaurants to pair with your bevies. My favorite nights to come are the first and third Thursdays of every month when they have an amazing DJ spinning vinyl from 6pm-9pm.

Yelp
One of my go to breweries in a great location of SALT. They have a variety of local beers on tap that are rotating, and there's also a wide selection of beers to purchase in cans. The vibes here are always great! Limited food, more so bar pupus, but you can bring in outside food. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. Service is great and the employees are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Yelp
Went for an evening pre dinner visit while in town with my daughter and her co-workers. Great selection and atmosphere, a bit loud though

Jodi C.

Yelp
Food was just ok. Not sure if the focus of their establishment is on alcoholic drinks rather than the food. Didn't drink any alcohol so I'm just rating the food. Staff were really nice though!
google avatar

Yelp
Located on the bottom floor of SALT, Village offers a wide selection of beers on tap and in their refrigerator area. They have lots of open seating and complimentary water as well. This is the perfect place for Pau Hana gatherings or meet up with friends on the weekend. I do wish they had a larger food menu but you can bring outside food as well. Maybe some truffle fries or fried chicken dishes? We tried their pretzel which came with two different types of mustard, beef jerky, and furikake chips. All were good, ok, but had me craving for more. In all, this a great place to for drinks in SALT.
google avatar

Wakaba S.

Yelp
It's a cool place to have drinks. They have decent things to eat but you can also bring the food from outside. That's the cool thing about this place. And all surrounding vendors know that and some even deliver that to you! I'd love them more if they had more selections of wines.

Yelp
Village bottle shop is still around - surviving COVID and from the looks of it, doing great! I love these places where you can drink 3 or 4 oz at a time and test out different beers. Today I decided to go for it and get the weirdest beers and boy did they deliver. I found out my wife should be some kind of taster because her nose is incredible. She described the two weird beers I got and nailed the taste. She said I would not like the beers and she was right!!!! Both were very sour - one made me tear up from the sourness but I drank both of them and the buzz was good!!!!! BTW I do not like sour things but whatever! This place has fancy sounding pupus and when I ordered a Pão de Quejo - it just looked like two round pieces of bread but the inside was delicious!!!!!' I remember they also have tasty meat pies too. Looks like they expanded the list of foods you can order. Anyway, I like this place and hope to go more! Highly recommended!

Yelp
Had a great experience at the village on a weekday afternoon. Came here for the Hana Koa sour since Hana Koa is closed on Mondays and ended up also getting their soft pretzel which the server said is made by a German lady. It was good, especially with the whole grain mustard. Love that they offer different sized pours and snacks! We'll be back.

Yelp
I've been going to this spot for years and it's always been good vibes. They have plenty of options on tap and a great bottle shop selection. They also have snacks, pot pies, and Brazilian cheesy bread. I appreciate that they allow outside/neighboring restaurants' food. Sometimes we get moke/ahi and sit here and drink. It's nice if you want to eat but have a more chill out atmosphere. They also have ample parking and the bathrooms are shared but the shopping center but are always clean. :)

Yelp
My bestie wasn't exactly feeling happy so we went and got hoppy! The total benefit of adulting is escaping to an oasis like this with options galore! As soon as you walk in there's a whole refrigerated wall of various prepackaged beers of every kind you can imagine all categorized for you. Their menu is all by QR code though obviously majority of the bites are bar food so if you expect to have a meal you'll be leaving salty...literally. On the flip side of why we're here is what's on tap...A LOT! Once you choose your choice of brew the seating area is something for everyone whether it's right on the bar top or people viewing along the window bar seating or one of the multiple tables both inside and outside, or what we were lucky to grab was two comfy plushie seats to sink into and sip our stress away. Village is in the heart of SALT at Kaka'ako and parking is a breeze either in the building right beside them or the open lot in front, the first hour is free and with validation is just a just a few bucks. I am a craftaholic and here they got the brewtiful venue to enjoy it all! Thank you!

Alice V.

Yelp
I love this spot! Huge selection of specialty and local beers on tap, also some wines and meads on tap. So many taps!!! No liquor tho, only beer and wine. They also sell bottles and cans of fancy beers that cant be purchased anywhere else on island. Personally, this is my go to/ the only place I've found where I can buy my beloved sour beers :) Specialty beer lovers in Hawaii will know how hard it can be to find the stuff u like here..... anyways, Bottles and cans can be purchased and taken home, or drank at the bar. As far as ambiance, it's a very sophisticated atmosphere to enjoy a classy beverage. I also love the little nook w comfy seating, board games and mini library. The service can be a little cold here, but like, whatever. Thank you for stocking sour beers!!! Oh they also they do have food but only a couple things. I think they sell a couple of different kinds of little savoury pies, like a meat pie type of thing. I've never tried but it sounds good.

Yelp
Beers are cheap, service is good. A diverse selection of hawaiian craft beers. I got to try out 4 beers for only $15. They have an 8 oz pour too, its just not labeled. A good way to chill out and relax after a long day. You can also pop the bottles you bought from here on the table!

Yelp
For the longest time when Village opened up their doors I would regularly drop by perhaps two times a week. So often that I got to know all the bartends behind the counter. I have even been awarded two t-shirts from their rewards program. Love LOVE their beer selection and ability to sample all evening. Love their selection of lambics, both on the tap and in the bottle for take home. Also on the tap are wines by the glass. Great place to gather with friends! My consumption of beer is not as proliferate as before. I go now for the great gathering place and lite bites. This is where the menu is slightly lacking. Knowing this Village allows their customers to bring food in from any of the restaurants in the Salt complex. And that is a nice expansive variety. Thanks Village for being that place where everyone knows my name! And the place where I can stop for little or large glasses of delicious beer.

Yelp
I first discovered Village Bottle Shop & Tasting Room when SALT at Kakaako was still growing, years before Covid. This is a special place tucked away amongst all the other fine restaurants and bars at SALT. A little on the pricier side, but they bring in craft beer and microbrews that you may never heard of, seen, or are very difficult to find or can't get anywhere else on Oahu. They have a very impressive revolving tap list. Sample a few by ordering flights (4 oz), or a full glass (10 oz). Not into craft beer? There's wine as well. I don't believe they have a full kitchen, as they only serve "snacks". For us, this is usually a good starter place after work to sample a few flights before heading to meet friends for dinner in the SALT complex. Can't stay for a few? They have the largest selection of bottled craft beers and cans that I've seen; more so and more impressive than any of the bigger supermarkets that carry craft beer. The bottles/cans are already refrigerated (also impressive is that long refrigerated wall), convenient for grab and go, awaiting you as you get home for that first refreshing taste. There is ample parking in the SALT complex, as well as on street parking.

Yelp
Strictly as a bottleshop, I thought this place was great! I do have a few nits to pick though. Great: - Huge selection of of bottles and cans to choose from, all cold, all can be purchased individually. - Really friendly and welcoming staff. - Free parking! (a rarity in this part of town) Nits: - Prices are pretty expensive, cheapest are around $3-4 a piece, but they can go to more than double that. - Not a huge selection of Hawaii beers. The bulk of the selection seems to centered around craft beer from the mainland/Alaska (I saw some Anchorage Brewing cans!) and especially around international beers. (big selection of Belgian ales) If you want to get a variety of beers for your jungle mountain summit or your lazy beach day, this is the place!

Yelp
Village Bottle Shop and Tasting Room is located at Salt in Kakaako. If you love to try different and unique beers from around the world, this is the place. They have a variety on tap if you want to enjoy one onsite, but you can also purchase to take home to enjoy later. See my pics to see a few beers I chose from Germany. I really enjoyed both of them. Let me know what you tried. Happy drinking and Alooooooooha.

Yelp
This battleship is a hidden gem and has tons of great beers for onsite or to-go consumption. They also have a few different bourbons and whiskeys as well!

Yelp
Located in SALT at our Kaka'ako, Village is a go-to spot for craft beer with great options on tap and a whole refrigerated wall of canned + bottled beers, ciders, etc. You can drink what you picked out from the refrigerators on-site or take it home! There's a ton of local and imported goods to enjoy. Another huge plus is that Village has ample indoor and outdoor patio seating- and they're dog friendly!! So you don't have to leave your fur babies at home while you hang with your friends at Village. SALT has it's own parking garage and with validation, it's pretty cheap! From the parking garage elevator, press "1R" and Village is just around the corner. I've been here in 2 separate occasions, once when it was PACKED and another when it was just my party there. The service was amazing on both instances. Even when there was wall-to-wall people, I was able to order and get my drink in under 2 minutes. The service is always fast and friendly! I've tried the "Czech 'em" Pilsner by Beerlab which is locally brewed and the "Hang loose juice" which is another local POG cider. The craft beer, ciders, and even wine are great here but... the food and snacks is what makes this spot 5 stars for me. There are local flavor snacks that can be easily shared, or taken home if there's leftovers! The honey sriracha pretzel sticks are good if you can handle a little heat. Ube Chex mix is for those who like a salty + sweet duo (like me) and the village mix kakimochi is another classic made into the perfect bar snack. They even have hot meals for those looking for more of a substantial meal. 3 words: Chicken pot pie. They even have a tofu panner pot pie that's vegan! Truly something for everyone here. I have plans of friends coming to visit in the near future and I'm taking all my guests here at least once during their stay!

Yelp
If your looking for a cool hipster place to drink a couple beers with some friends I would recommend this place. It has a great variety of beer plus some that they have brewed themselves.

Yelp
Made it into Village for their 6th Anniversary Party. If you've never been here and like craft beer you definitely need to check it out! They have one of the best selections of Beer-to-go on island. You can even order ahead online to make a quick stop if you're short on time. I do recommend looking over the draft list though as there is always something surprising. Um Great Notion in HI! The tap list rotates regularly and they use Digital Pour to make it easy to even check anead if your favorite beer is running out or Just tapped. Limited food selection, but you are welcome to bring in food for anywhere including the great selections found right in the SALT complex. Don't forget to get your parking validated if you park in the adjacent parking garage.

Yelp
Oh myyyyyy! Walked in looking for a beer and found two bottles of bourbon! Excellent selection of beers and ciders, love the indoor and outdoor seating.

Yelp
Alyssa is the BEST! We have the best time every Tuesday night. I look forward to seeing the staff and drinking some great drinks! shoutout to Alyssa

Yelp
It was almost closing time, but they welcomed us in for one drink. Tasted the lilikoi and it was good. More on the sweet side, but it was good. Not much to say as we weren't there very long, but I would definitely be back again and from there update this review.
google avatar

Elise H.

Yelp
I have passed this place dozens of times and never stopped. There's always a line when I walk by, but today there was no line! So happy this place exists, got a table inside and was greeted immediately with waters. My husband and I both got beers and furikake kettle chips. There is an excellent selection of eclectic beers to choose from in the bottle shop or on tap. Or if your into it you can also order alcohol neat or on the rocks. I was told you can also BYOF (bring your own food), next time! Although, the charcuterie board sounds tasty.
google avatar

Paul L.

Yelp
Stopped in for a couple of pints at lunch time and had a pot pie to go with them. The pot pie was hot and meaty, and the pints were cold and frosty. Service was fast and friendly, with emphasis on the "tasting" I could try anything before I ordered (always a plus, and appreciated), and the other guys at the bar were super friendly. I know you can't count on that every time, but it was just a nice, laid back atmosphere, with people who are knowledgeable about beer. What more can you ask for, really? Well... how about a wine of the month club? I had to wait a year to be accepted, but it was well worth it! The wines are always interesting, I get to try a lot of unique wines (2 or 3 bottles every month) that I probably wouldn't otherwise, and it's a great value for the money.

Yelp
Awesome Hosting as we walked in!!! We were greeted by a Guy that explained the establishment and what they had to offer. We appreciate the Aloha and will be back when we have more time. We did purchase a few to go items and the Female Host/ Cashier that helped us was Great!! As a Former Manager of a Brewery in Virginia it was nice to see this establishment doing all the right things with Aloha!!

Yelp
Hand pies are tasty. Pretzel is amazingly fresh. Beer is off the hook. L=Firestone Walker (super potent and smooth), R=Kona Lavaman (very smooth)

Yelp
Double date with the furbabies in tow! We enjoyed the casual relaxing ambiance, beer selection, and amazing service! Our server was very friendly and attentive, and even gave our doggos treats. Tip: they allow outside food.
google avatar

Daniella G.

Yelp
They have a huge selection of bottled beverages to pick as well as draft. However what I didn't like was if you buy one of their bottles they add a $2 corking fee. I can see if you bring outside drinks in sure. However, it is their alcohol we bought and had to pay an additional $2 to drink it there. Seemed stupid. Atmosphere is nice and they have a great selection.

Yelp
While most people were productive during the pandemic, either making face masks or sharing hot commodity items like Clorox wipes, hand sanitizers, or even toilet paper, I was at home playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons and becoming an alcoholic. It was so bad that the only way I could tell the time was due to the background music in ACNH. Nothing was funnier than my husband going to sleep in the PM only to wake in the wee hours of the AM to ask, "Did you sleep?" to which my sleep-deprived bum would reply, "Nope." But while my fascination with ACNH continued to increase over time, I started to find my drink options lacking. It was not until I started going back to the office that I rediscovered Village Bottle Shop & Tasting Room. If you're not familiar with VBSTR, they're located in SALT Kaka'ako right across from Redfish Poke Bar. They're such a staple when it comes to wines, brews, and everything in between and beyond, that one forgets that they haven't actually been around that long. In fact, they're only just celebrating their 6th Birthday this month. But VBSTR is as resilient as they are creative, so it is no surprise that they have continued to surprise us with old fan favorites and soon to be new favorite picks throughout the years. Since I'm not a huge fan of beers (minor exceptions are Schofferhoffer Hefeweizens and Stiegl Radlers), one of the reasons why I started purchasing from VBSTR is because they sell Rekorderlig Ciders. I stumbled upon this cider purely by accident a handful of years ago at Foodland and Whole Foods but hadn't seen it since, so when I saw that VBSTR had Rekorderligs, I stocked up. When I felt adventurous, I'd also dabble in other types of ciders, seltzers, or other alcohol options (Manoa Mead, anyone?) too but the Rekorderligs were my main drink of choice. I didn't even realize I was ordering frequently enough to be recognized until I stopped by one afternoon and was greeted immediately by two employees, one of whom had been Casey, who not only remembered me by name but also told me he'd be back with my order. I was so surprised that I think I may have let out an expletive (in jest) and commented that I need to be better about hiding my drinking habits. But Casey took my socially awkward humor in stride and every time I visit, if Casey happens to be there, he's always just as interactive or quick to recommend items based on my drinking tastes, which is always a plus since I never know where to start. Overall, if you are looking for a comfortable place to drink with a variety of options, I highly recommend VBSTR. Not only do they have a rotating selection of beers on tap, but they also have a good selection (staples and seasonal items) of drinks in their fridges as well. Even if you're not a huge fan of beer, VBSTR will have you covered. Plus, they routinely host events or collaborate with other local businesses, so there's always something to do at VBSTR (in addition to or other than drinking). Well, what are you waiting for? It's always 5 o'clock somewhere, right?

Yelp
Well, I must say I'm disappointed. Service: what service? We sat outside and asked the guy if we have to go inside to order, and he said no need he'll take our orders from outside. Well, little did we know he meant he'll only take our order the first time , OF WHICH, we had to wait a while for AND wave him down! Food: omg, horrible! We ordered the sausage roll and the chicken pot pie. Shucks, I don't have a picture, but the chicken pot pie looked like a small size calzone. It did not look like the one in some of the pictures! AND, the sausage roll was dryer than dry; just horrible!!! And the sausage roll came out burnt . Drinks: This is what the 2 stars are for, or I would have given 1 star. The drinks were great! I wish I could name all the drinks we tried, but they were all good!! I recommend this place for drinks, just please save your wallet and don't waste your money on the food.

Yelp
Warning... Do Not Drive to dis Place! You're eyes will be bigger than your mouth and you'll want to taste everything and get al'bus! You've been warned! ;) Village Bottle Shop & Tasting Room is a beer and wine connoisseur's dream shop of everything crafted in beer and wine! Located in SALT Kaka'ako, and if you do drive you can find either street or structure parking on site. Village is pretty centrally located in SALT on the ground floor, north of Moku. Inisde is a mix bag of seating... bar stools, benches, picnic tables, and cushion seats... place can get busy and crowded, but everyone seems to make things work. Sorry no drinks outside of the shop. When you enter through the doors, you'll find a wall of refrigerators on the the right with nothing but pure genius! People's vision for that perfect taste from around the world all on one wall, and oh the bar has selections of wine from multiple vineyards too! But, the wall is a perfect way to find a gift for someone else or yourself! Now, I don't drink anymore, but if I did, I'd be here on a regular basis. Have been here to dab a lil' and just hang out, but would surely enjoy myself if I did indulge. Till next rare occasion, Grind On! Pau!

Yelp
Best thing is to get poke from Redfish, or a plate lunch from Pioneer, and bring it over to the tasting room and have a brew on tap! Amazing food and alcohol choices. All in one cool spot at Salt.

Yelp
I love Village Bottle! They have a great selection of beers and of course sours! It changes on draft, but the selections are phenomenal. I love the staff and they are always very welcoming and fun to chat with! PJ is my favorite guy! He's very sweet and funny. I believe, there's a $2 corkage fee if you decide to buy a can or bottle and drink it there. It's totally worth it and understandable! They give you a fresh glass also! They have some small bites but there's a few food places around the area, that you can bring your food and eat it there. Also, parking in Salt is pretty cheap, when validated. The most we had to pay was $2. A ton of street parking as well! Just got to circle around a bit.

Yelp
Great place for beer and wine! I decided to come to visit on a weekday afternoon with a friend. We decided to only try a few drinks out. Location: SALT Kakaako on the ground level! Service: When it comes to COVID restrictions, they provide hand sanitizer at the counter, offer options of sitting inside or outside, and QR code menus. Drinks: On tap, they have a variety of beer selections including local beers. There are three sizes: 4 oz, 8oz, and 10oz. Up to three drinks at a time. If you don't want to drink beer, they do have wine options. On side, they do have a huge selection of beers to take home. Overall: Great place to sit down and drink with friends. It was a great atmosphere. Just always check their Instagram for updates. ;)

Yelp
Who goes to a beer joint to eat PIE???? That would be Bruddah Fran of course..........Chicken Pot Pie it is!!!! Now don't get me wrong, I like beer...........in fact, I LOVE beer, but have had a sip of it since 2016 (not by my choice, lol!) So last weekend my friend wanted to take me out for a meal for my belated birthday, but I told him that I wanted to eat a pie! The conversation kinda went like this.............. Pal: 'Eh, where you like go eat??? Bruddah Fran: Uh, I'm diggin' to eat a pie for dinner! Pal: I ain't gonna buy you a cheap pie for dinner...........and a custard pie is not a meal! Bruddah Fran: 'Eh, a custard pie is a meal if you eat all by yourself! In fact that is a great idea, but I think Ani's is closed by now. Lol! Anyways, I was talkin' about getting one of them "pot pies" from this beer joint in Kakaako. Pal: Where is this at???? Bruddah Fran: Let me open up my Yelp app. & see a few of my friends pages to tell you what the place is called. YELP is da best site for you HARDCORE Foodies like muwah! Upon opening the link for the Village Bottle Shop & Tasting Room, I saw a few of my Yelp buddies - Da FAMOUS Auntie Nadine C., Bruddah Dan O., Lyla D. my foodie encyclopedia (if ya wanna know something about food, garans Lyla knows! Lol!), my PT - Kathy H., Bruddah Rod U., Sheryl M., Bruddah Mel B., Ash C., Amy M., Terry K. Bruddah Brian M., Lora C., & Jan K. Much MAHALO for posting da wonderful pics of the pies, as well as the drinks guys! Where is the Village Bottle Shop & Tasting Room located??? Just head to the Kakaako neighborhood, and you can find he Village Bottle Shop & Tasting Room in the new Salt Complex where a lot of new trendy restaurants has popped up. Village Bottle Shop & Tasting Room is a small cozy bar/lounge. They feature a lot of different types of beers on tap, and the also have beer in bottles in the freezer. Not into beer? No worries gang.............they do have soda here, as well as non-alcoholic beers, and if I am correct............I thought I overheard some folks getting wine here too. As much as I miss beer...........I ain't gonna pass up on a pie, so my quest to get that pot pie has been accomplished! Upon walking into the bar/lounge, I walk up to the ordering counter & order myself a Chicken Pot Pie.........my friend also did the same. Not into Chicken Pot Pie? Well, they also sell a Steak Pot Pie here, and on some other days, they actually have a Veggie Pot Pie, as well as some kinda "special" Pot Pie. On the day I came here (Sunday night), they only offered Chicken Pot Pie or Steak Pot Pie. What can I say about the Chicken Pot Pie???? I would give it a solid 3.5. I love the buttery crust of the pie, but as far as the filling? I think the filling could have used a little more chicken, as well as a little more sauce inside........unless the pie was a little dried out???? Therefore the lack of sauce in my pie? Basically the Chicken Pot Pie had - Chicken, Carrots, Celery, Potatoes, Peas, Onions, Garlic & Herbs, in a creamy sauce. Overall, a fairly good tasting pie..........but to put me over the edge, the Chicken Pot Pie could have used more chicken & sauce inside. Service here was great! The guy who took our order was friendly, and even gave me some drink options since I told him I no longer drank beer. When our pies were ready, someone brought the pies out to our table....... A pretty neat beer joint............and if you're ever in the mood for a pot pie, or maybe a Bavarian Pretzel???? You may wanna check out this place out!

Yelp
We stopped in for drinks after a day of shopping and girl time. Self seating and once you decide what you'd like to drink, you just head to the bar to order your drink. I enjoyed that you have the option to order 4 oz or a full pour. Definitely a cool place to enjoy a drink and I plan to return to try some of their menu items

Yelp
Finally stopped in for the first time to try their menu! I remember bumping into the owner, Daryn and him telling me they were just days away to open! Long time no see! One of the staff, Ty, was very helpful. We ordered the Veggje Quiche, Veggie Pot Pie & Pizza Pot Pie with 2 root beers since I don't drink much beer. ;) It was served with nice glasses. We enjoyed the freshly baked food - it was very well made! I have to say the atmosphere is quite comfortable and clean, good for a quick bite w/friends. Definitely will be back for the Veggie Pot Pie! Yum! Mahalo!!!
