This was the second time my husband and I stayed, and we are already. planning our next get away there!|We chose it for the convenient location. We love the restaurants, especially The Garden Cafe and Good Night. We also enjoy the art and shopping all within walking distance. When we want outdoor adventures, they are all within an hour's drive. |Getting back to the bed and breakfast, you could not ask for a more comfortable room!! We stay in the Green Room overlooking the square where you could participate in the drum circle or just listen! (I danced!) |The breakfast room is stunning, and the eats are wonderful. My husband enjoys sweets and everyday there were fresh exquisite muffins and pastries. I enjoy fresh fruit which were beautifully ripe and seasonal.|The host were there when you needed them and completely accommodating. They are going on my holiday card list! |If you get the chance STAY!

village green Bed and Breakfast is the perfect place to stay. The rooms are immaculately clean. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are cozy. The house is beautiful surrounded by amazing art. Larry is the best host ever sweet kind, considerate. I love the Village green. It can be a romantic spot, it’s cozy for friends and also for adult families. The views are perfect every season! It’s on a prime location. You will love this place.

Overall the stay at the Village Green was very good but I have to knock points off in the fact they need to CLEAN THE ROOMS DAILY. Nothing annoys me more than a place that does not clean the rooms each night of the stay. If you are not going to do it please let the guest know. I could have used a new hand towel and it would have been a nice touch to make the bed.||||The nice part of the stay was the location of the B & B is excellent. It is right on the Village Green of Woodstock. You could either get the room facing the Green (too lite and noisy during the holidays) or the Brook Room where I was that was quiet and very nice. Larry is a great guy. The first day I was there he was showing me his art work, which is very talented in his medal work and his marble balance mesh structures which are like a maze. Very clever work. We had a drink together, which was nice after a long trip and talked for about a half hour on the art world. He is a very nice guy. He also gave me the room at the regular rate, which I thought was very classy of him and kind of him to do.||||The Brook Room is not fancy but it is not one those over the top Victorian Frilly things that I hate. It was more like staying at an old friends house and they were lending you the room. It was a very mellow two days and I got to see the Christmas tree in the evenings and the green every morning which was nice. The breakfasts were very standard. Grocery store pastries and doughnuts, boxed cereals, pop tarts, fruit and yogurt, all of which was very nice and a good selection but very standard. There was plenty of it and Larry kept it out at all times.||||I thought it was a little negligent to keep coffee on a burner for most of the day. On Christmas morning, the coffee put was on the burner for most of the morning and early afternoon with no one checking on it. I was going to turn it off but did not know if there was a patron in the other room who still might want it. Also, I had to do my own dishes and put things away, which I had never experienced in a B & B. Someone finally came around three to clean up the rest of the breakfast stuff and put it away. The next morning there was more baked goods and coffee again. It was nice to serve yourself and you don't see the owners that much which I didn't need to have a nice stay. You really are on your own here.||||Again, the Village Green is like staying at a old friends house where you are on your own to come and go as you please and eat when you please. This is nice for some people but I was not staying at a friends house. If you like a hands-off on your own experience, this is the best place for you. If you want an engaging environment with more gourmet food and a cleaned room, then I suggest you stay someplace else. Again it was a nice stay in a comfortable home with a nice view, its just not the B & B experience that I thought I was going to have on this trip. Good but could have been a little better.

Village Green B&B, Woodstock, NY|I thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay at this literally wonderful B&B—since there are wonders to see everywhere. The antique furnishings, artwork and statues both sacred and whimsical, conjure up another era of refined comfort. Even though objects, books and magazines are everywhere, the spaces are not overwrought. Everything is artfully arranged and totally pleasing. There are nice places to relax in the garden, where other delightful objects are displayed. I thought the B&B’s style reflected the essence of Woodstock’s history and character. |The Green Room is spacious yet cozy, with pleasant views of the Village Green’s activities. The location could not be more convenient to the bus, restaurants, shops and music venues. Larry is a perfect host, helpful and welcoming. |I missed the smell of coffee already brewing when I woke up at home this morning, not to mention a beautiful table set for The Village Green B&B’s breakfast of muffins, Danish, scones and other kitchen offerings. |

More like staying with family than a hotel - we greatly enjoyed our stay. Interesting pictures, statuary and nick-nacks on the walls and shelves, coffee in the morning and a lovely common room overlooking the green to sit and read a good book. The room was comfortable and we could come and go at will from right in town - walking to everything we wanted to do. Larry was a pleasure to chat with, and takes wonderful care of all the little details.

This was a GREAT find! Centrally located in downtown Woodstock, this B&B is close to dining and attractions. In addition to restaurants, it is also close to gift shops, groceries, and other shops. The owners, Larry and Paul (along with their dogs Brody and Bandit), were wonderful hosts and had tantalizing pastries and snacks waiting for us every morning. The B&B easily accommodates 2 couples (which we were). We had the 2nd floor to ourselves with our own bedrooms and baths. We also had our own kitchen, eating area, and sitting room which allowed us to either dine out or dine in or just stay in with a bottle of wine and some snacks.. The house and grounds are decorated through and through with local artwork (photos, paintings, and pieces of sculpture) that one couldn't help but examine. Larry gave us a private tour of his studio in the basement amazing us with his creativity. We could not have made a better selection!||||They also have an outdoor patio which we took advantage of since the weather was so nice. It is extremely peaceful and we were surrounded by lots and lots of statues!

Two things I dislike about B and Bs are dealing with the owners who want to talk too much(especially at breakfast), and not being able to have coffee when I want it. ||This owner is around, but unless you want to talk, appears he won't. And you do not have to chat with him at breakfast because its self serve. Terrific. ||Its a well stocked kitchen, and a couple emails got me instructions on making my own coffee at five Am. I had planned to eat breakfast out anyway, but the fridge was stocked with yogurt and english muffins and poptarts. Some pastries showed up in the morning after I had gone out. There was also some fruit which was nice. ||It was very quiet and other than the owners footsteps over our heads, I would have thought we were in the building alone. ||Good wifi.||We were in the Brown room. Its a small room with a lot of furniture so if you have lots of stuff you might want to opt for the bigger room. It did have an easy chair and a table and chairs, and a closet so it was not lacking anything but space.||Very good maintenance. Bathroom seemed very newly done. Lots of hot water. ||Excellent location for walking all over Woodstock. And parking right behind. ||Great stay. Would recommend it to anyone.

We had a lovely two night stay here and it's right in the middle of this quaint arty little village and a good location for exploring the Catskills.||We stayed in the Green room overlooking the square which hosts live music and the locals drumming on Sunday afternoons is great fun and you can join in too.||The room was lovely, big and comfy. you have full use of the living room/kitchen and there free parking around the back.||Larry the owner was lovely and helpful. Would we stay again? you bet we would.

Yelp
This B&B is situated in the perfect location. Well-stocked common room with a refrigerator was a bonus. My only issue was cleanliness. The room did not appear to have been dusted and carpets cleaned since Reagan was president. The toilet was also pretty gross...thankfully there were cleansers nearby. I'd give this place 5 stars if it weren't for these issues.

Yelp
Stayed in this B&B with my husband and 2 small children. Rates were reasonable, owners were friendly and inviting and the stay was peaceful and quiet! Lots of food in the kitchen and hot coffee made in the morning. When we checked out the owners had a few small toys for my two year old to take home! Overall I really enjoyed the stay, and if we ever travel back that way we will be staying there again.
