The pulled pork sandwich is awesome. The employees here are equally awesome. Just make sure to keep the front door closed. Green and purple bus stop 2 is very close.

Christian was a breath of fresh air! He was so nice and was cracking jokes with us throughout our order experience. My dad is a tough cookie to please when it comes to customer service, but he said and I quote “That’s the kinda guy you want working for your company, excellent customer service and is always smiling.”

Google
Good restaurant behind the welcome centre, there can be long queues during peak times. Wait times are not too bad, the service is good and food looks good. We ordered 3 French fries as a little snack for lunch. Ordering at the counter was fine and waiting for our order was ok, no problems. Nice place for lunch with outdoor seating.

Google
It’s not a “Grill” if the grill is a microwave. For being at Yosemite National Park, one of the most beautiful places on earth, their food is extremely bland and mediocre. I got an angus burger and my partner got the chili. The chili was good! But this burger… I actually received the food maybe within 10 seconds of ordering it, which means it was either microwaved, or they had cooked more and the burger was just sitting there. To be honest, I think it was both. It was cold and had the texture of school cafeteria burgers. Very basic; tasteless; weird texture; cold. I did not enjoy it at all. I do have to say, the fries are actually okay! Overall, you have no other food options other than this restaurant if you don’t have your own food, so just stay away from the burger and you will be okay.

Google
Burger place with vegan options. We had a plant-based burger with a bean patty that tasted great! If you’re cutting down on carbs/calories you can have it protein-style: without a bun and wrapped in lettuce instead. Great views at the patio!

Google
This place is very quick and convenient. I went on a rainy weekend in early May and I got my food in less than five minutes. Sure it wasn't anything mindblowing but it was satisfying and a decent price for being in the middle of a National Park. I got the chipotle chicken sandwich, while my friends really liked the angus cheeseburgers. The wait at the Pizza Deck is 45-60 mins and the quality is comparable to the Village Grill. While some might consider the Pizza Deck a must on any Yosemite visit, IMO if you're just looking for a quick lunch and want to get on with the rest of your plan, hit up the grill instead.

Google
My hamburger was cold and the bun was dry. Not tasty for an hamburger :/ the price for the quality is not good. The place is very close to the parking. You can have a good choice of sauce as bbq sauce that's nice. But well I was disappointed for the burger

We were the second to last people to be served this season. Despite shutting down, they worked hard to make sure we were happy. And did it with a heart full of song.

Yelp
The onion rings were very crispy and were piping hot. Thanks for feeling a long day of hiking ahead. Plentiful portions, and decent price. Also got the burger and chipotle chicken burger. These were meh. The chipotle chicken burger was pretty soggy and fell apart by the end. They tried to put some avocado, but it made the sogginess worse. Chicken itself was juicy and a good portion.

Yelp
This was a pretty convenient spot in Yosemite Valley for a quick lunch. There are plenty of tables outside. Village Grill is located between the store and Welcome Center. It's kind of like a better version of a concession stand with burgers, hot dog, chicken sandwiches, etc. I had the battered fish sandwich and it definitely hit the spot for lunch. The battered fish was crispy and interior was flaky. It had cold slaw in the sandwich which added great texture and moisture. The fish was a bit thin but it was a good sandwich nonetheless.

Julie E.

Yelp
The food here is okay, definitely nothing spectacular or life changing. You don't get many options in National Parks so you get what you get. My fiancé and I got a chicken sandwich as well as chicken tenders and both were just eh. We definitely wouldn't get either again as there were hard bits on the chicken tenders as if it was double fried to seem fresh and the chicken sandwich was a small chicken breast so there was more bread than meat. The fries were good though, those were crispy. There's wildlife all around so it's nice to just sit and watch but remember, don't feed them! Keep wildlife wild!

Yelp
Solid spot for a surprisingly good quick lunch in Yosemite. The veggie burger is NOT vegan, but the vegetarian chili is vegan. I had the chili and it was pretty good. Ordering was easy and we waited maybe 10 minutes for the food. I was told the burgers and grilled cheese tasted pretty good too.

Yelp
IMHO I honestly didn't have high hopes for any food choices in Yosemite Valley, but Village Grill was a wonderful surprise. The queue moved well enough. While you wait, take the time to peruse the menu and are ready to order. Our cashier was smiley, super friendly and happy to serve us. We ordered the Batter-fried fish sandwich basket, $11.75, which comes with your choice of fries or a slice of watermelon, and the Angus cheeseburger, a la carte, $6.75. Grab a table while waiting for your number to be called. (Turnover is pretty fast so you shouldn't have problems finding a place to sit and eat.) We loved our food! Everything was very tasty and the portions "just right." Truthfully, we were very surprised at how much we enjoyed our food. My fish sandwich was hefty, hot, fresh and delicious! The same with my husband's cheeseburger. Yes, if we're ever visiting Yosemite again, we'll dine here again!

Yelp
Don't feel like getting that grill going at your campsite? Just here for a day trip and just want some sit-down semi-fast food? At the Village Grill, just next door to the Village Grocery and soon-to-open Yosemite Visitor's Center in Yosemite Village, you will find burgers of various kinds, fries and simple salads and soft drinks. Service is efficient, friendly and they hustle behind the counter! Stand in line, order up, and find a picnic table out in front underneath the trees to enjoy your meal! Like everything else at Yosemite, the lines can be a little long on the weekends and Fridays. Midweek, no problem - step right on up in the offseason. Pro tip: Have someone in your family stand in line first, while the others go hit up the bathrooms in the building next door in the meantime. Due to that Art-deco font on the menu board, the menu is a little hard to read when you are in line. While the food here isn't going to wind up on any Michelin lists, there are a few favorites that I found to my liking here: Pulled Pork Sandwich: (4/5) Better than expected! Moist, tender and flavorful, not overly sweet, and actually pretty good for something from a burger stand! Soft and fresh burger bun with sesame seeds, like all the offerings here. Side Green Salad: (3.85/5) Very fresh, and a healthy amount of veggies for just a "SIDE" salad. You have your choice of either Balsamic VInegarette or Honey Mustard dressing. I enjoyed the Balsamic dressing, even though it was from just from Kraft! LOL.. Batter Fried Fish Sandwich: 3.75/5 I had a bite of this, and it was pretty tasty. I liked the crunchy savory crust on the fish patty. The burger bun was soft and a good accompaniment to the fish. Onion Rings: Though I didn't order this, they looked really good! Sorry to the other tables for the side-eye! =) The Other Stuff: Angus Cheeseburger: [ SECRET DEAL!? or Meh? ] I ordered this with a side of their chili, and hey.. even though they clearly list a $5.75 VEGGIE-based Chili, off the menu, they have a BEEF CHILI just for such an occasion! For just $2 extra, you get half a bowl of chili to go alongside to slather onto your cheeseburger or fries! The only disappointing thing here is that the Chili was a bit watery and the burger meat itself while moist, just wasn't that tasty.. oh well, it was still okay I guess. 2.75/5..Maybe that Cowboy Western Burger is better.. Kid's Menu options include a simple kid's cheeseburger for $8.25 or a grilled cheese sandwich for $7.75 each. Chicken Tenders too.. Once you order, you get a a number, and you wait 3-5 minutes for your grub to appear. Take your cafeteria tray when offered, grab some condiments and head off to the open-air tables outside. Tons of squirrels around but while they seem borderline courteous, it is best not to feed them. All in all, this isn't a bad place to grab a bite, but I strongly prefer the Pizza Deck back over at Curry Village. There is a Degnan's Deli a short walk away past the Village Grocery that might be worth a look too..

Arlene L.

Yelp
Fast service, fast enough to feed hungry hikers. Ordered burgers and fish sandwiches. Definitely recommending the fish sandwich. Delicious, not greasy. Just wished they had tartar sauce, but the mayo was a good substitute. Attached to the visitor center and gift shop. Accessible by the park's free shuttle system. Lots of tables and seats outside.

Connor Y.

Yelp
The Village grill is cool spot in Yosemite Valley. The long can pretty long but they take every order till the line is gone even when they are closed. It has a really great vibe becuae its Yosemite so it adds to the ambiance of the entire place. The pulled pork sandwich was the best thing I had. It had nice juicy meat that was tender and the sauce was really flavorful. If I had a recommendation that's what it would be. The Chipotle Chicken club was good but it was kind of bland. Not bad just nothing special about it. Chicken was cooked well and the bread was soft and definitely could have used more Chipotle sauce. The fries were crispy but depending on how you like them you can add more salt and pepper.

John O.

Yelp
Can't give a review on the food. The spot was very cool. Think they served simple burgers and such. A mountain lion walked past the joint while we sat there.

Suzanna A.

Yelp
I stopped by here with my dog, Mickey and my boyfriend for lunch during our Yosemite hike. The service was extremely fast and the staff were very friendly. There was a long line when I showed up and the wait wasn't longer than 10 minutes! The food tasted great, we got the fish sandwich and a burger. We sat in the outside seating area and enjoyed our meal while soaking in the view. Several people came up to us to play with Mickey. It was a great experience!

Sandeep P.

Yelp
Long lines! Really long! Ok food, what better can you expect at a NP anyway! If possible just bring your own food before entering the park.

Raymond W.

Yelp
On the recommendation of a friend we went to Village Grill. We should've read YELP first. They were polite, but looked over worked for the amount of patrons frequenting the grill. They gave us the wrong sandwiches. Which were mediocre at best...I'd make a hard pass next time. The gentleman calling out order numbers, did little confirm what he was handing anyone. We should've checked! Once we drove the Valley loop and parked, it was too late. We had ordered two pulled pork sandwiches. The fish sandwiches we got weren't fit for a bear.

Yelp
I have been visiting Yosemite National Park for many years. Visits include day trips, camping, and hiking. During each visit to the park I get an opportunity to meet people from other parts of the country and world who all come to Yosemite to enjoy the natural beauty the park has to offer. Unfortunately the food venues in the park operated by Aramark's Yosemite Hospitality fall short of acceptable. Back in 2019 my wife and I spent the whole day hiking with friends. When we returned to Curry Village at dinner time, found the line to enter the Curry Village Pavilion Restaurant was so long, we likely would not have reached the entrance by the time they were scheduled to close, so we call searched our day packs and had the remaining trail snacks as our dinner. During our visit to the park last weekend, camping overnight (Sept 23-24, 2023) my wife and I decided to pack light and find lunch and dinner in Yosemite Valley. On Saturday we stopped by the Village Grill next to the Village Store. My chipotle chicken sandwich had no flavor. My wife's Cowboy Burger was also not very pleasing. On Sunday, we had lunch at Deanna's Kitchen Deli. I ordered a turkey sandwich, again flavorless and my wife ordered a hummus sandwich which did not appear to have any hummus. When I returned the sandwich to the person who prepared it, he mentioned the red looking sauce was the hummus and if we did not like it, he offered to make us something else. We disposed of our sandwiches in the trash and again, ate trail snacks... As we walked away, I felt sad and embarrised for all those who come to Yosemite to enjoy all the amazing things this National Park has to offer, just not the food.

Yelp
Wasn't impressed with this place. Got the Angus Ground Cheeseburger and Garlic Parmesan Fries. The burger tasted fine but was half the size of the bun. The $7 fries were ridiculous. A super small amount of fries for the price and the garlic was just piled on top, which didn't give them any real flavor unless you want to just taste a glob of garlic. The fries were fried well and that was the only good thing I can say about those. Tables were dirty. Not just because they only have outdoor seating, which is no big deal. It just looked like they don't have anyone wipe them down during the day. I wouldn't return here. Pack your food and bring it with you instead.

Davis V.

Yelp
The burgers where nasty and tasted fake, go early if you hungry the lines is super long with no seating.

Afnan T.

Yelp
After hiking and walking around perfect place to grab a quick meal. Outdoor area is nice. Food was also great .

Stefan C.

Yelp
This place felt like our only option while in Yosemite. Burgers and Fries were subpar. They didn't have relish for the hotdogs and the whole area was not well maintained. The food is really pricey for what you get. The plus side is the sodas were refillable which is good for hot days.

Cameron K.

Yelp
Service was the worst I've ever experienced. Waited almost an hour after I ordered to get my burger (which was already sitting out, ready to go since the chefs pre-cooked and packaged the food). It was the guy in the front who took the longest time to put together orders. Food was cold and not fresh.

Judy Z.

Yelp
Absolutely mediocre and disgusting. Unfortunately chances are limited in the area. Theme park food is better than this place. Lame...

JOANN P.

Yelp
They close at 6:00 pm. The current food service in the Valley is abysmal. Shitty, overpriced, and unavailable unless you have a reservation at one of two restaurants or eat at toddler hours.

E. C.

Yelp
Convenient location for park visitors who've worked up an appetite after hiking with relatively reasonable prices. Angus burgers proved dry and flat, however. Lots of outdoor seating.

Keith R.

Yelp
HAVE AGAIN: The Milanesa torta was pretty good, taquitos very good and bean very good.

Disha1008 ..

Yelp
One of the decent eat out place in curry village...we tried the pizza and tacos and all items were well priced as well as delicious!

Gary C.

Yelp
A great find. Our first whole meal at lunch after hiking in from Little Yosemite. They have some really healthy options, even for vegetarians. I opted for the spinach wrapped hummus wrap with white beans. Portion size was excellent and ingredients were all very fresh. Pretty good deal, given the location for $7.25. I think the other options such as the hot dog (for the same price) may be a little overpriced for what you get. My friend ordered that, and I noticed he paid the same amount as I did for a relatively puny amount of food.

Bay M.

Yelp
This was recommended by a worker at Degnan's Deli... he said that if we were in the mood for sandwiches, this was the place to go. Came in on a Monday for lunch and there were no lines, and food came in a timely manner. Got their chicken pesto sandwich with a side of fries. It was okay. Grilled chicken breast with a pesto sauce on a ciabatta roll. Serving size was okay, the chicken was tasty and juicy but the pesto taste was missing. We also got their fish sandwich, not bad tasty and crunchy. We upgraded one of our fries to the loaded fries (tossed in garlic and parmesan - but they just over did the garlic for us. I couldn't even taste the fries, loaded with garlic indeed!) Pricing is reasonable considering you're inside a National Park. Not a bad choice. Full on condiment bar. Self serve refreshments. Plenty of comfortable outdoor seating.

Smrithi S.

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch on our day in Yosemite. The sandwiches we had were really good, which was a surprise since we didn't have high expectations. We wanted a quick lunch before continuing to explore Yosemite, and they delivered. Even on a busy Saturday, we didn't have to wait ling for our sandwiches, found seating outside too. We for the Pesto chicken sandwich, and veggie burger and a couple sides of fries. It felt like a picnic lunch sitting outside.

Jennifer E.

Yelp
SO yummy, especially after miles of hiking! Got the Chipotle chicken sandwich *heart eyes*

Saran W.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stopped by Village Grill twice during our visit to Yosemite. While I wouldn't consider the food to be great by any means, it wasn't bad (3 stars) and pretty much what I would expect from a counter service style restaurant with a simple menu and outdoor seating. The service, unfortunately, knocked my review down a star. During our two visits, we ordered the following: - Chicken strips - warm and crispy - Cheeseburger with fries - bland and under-seasoned - Chipotle chicken sandwich - most flavorful by far - Onion rings - decent portion, hardly warm - Coffee - standard As I mentioned, everything tasted pretty okay. One thing I noticed though was that the customer service was severely lacking. I get it - you're dealing with impatient, hungry customers, occasionally with a language barrier. But you can't treat them with hostility! While waiting in line, I saw and overhead multiple instances where customers went to pick up their orders, noticed something they ordered was missing, and asked the employee about it (ex. "Doesn't this order come with fries?"). This particular employee would lash back and say things like "I didn't see fries on the screen" "I can't give you what you didn't order" until being shown the receipt that clearly listed fries. She would realize that she was in the wrong and then backpedal saying "Oh haha I thought you were asking where fries were on the menu." Like... what? Also, there was clearly lack of training on the part of the cashiers taking orders in the first place. We ordered a basket of chicken strips (basket = order with fries) and when the total rang up, I asked if it came with fries. The cashier told us "no you only ordered chicken strips." He made no effort to read our order back to us to avoid this in the first place, or offer to re-enter our order into the system - we would've paid the difference! If you ask me, I'd much rather explore other dining options in Yosemite. Yes, it may be conveniently located in the hub of the village, but it's more worth it to make your way a little further for better food and much better service.

Kristie S.

Yelp
Up in the mountains of Yosemite, there aren't that many choices for food. I didn't really have high expectations for this place and just expected average food. The line here takes forever, especially when tours are here. Finding a table isn't too bad and it's all outdoor seatings, which is great in Yosemite. If you really don't want to wait in line, there is a small market right next door. I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich, loaded fries, pulled pork sandwich, teriyaki turkey burger. Their teriyaki turkey burger was misleading. There was no teriyaki on the teriyaki turkey burger. It was basically a normal plain cheese burger. I would rather have ordered the cheese burger. When we asked the worker what their loaded fries was, the worker described it to us as fries with parsley, parmesan, and garlic "LOADED" all over your fries. Again, misleading. There was no parsley and I didn't taste any parmesan. The chicken sandwich wasn't too bad except that the chicken itself was incredibly dry and the bread was so tough. It was hard to even chew and swallow. The pulled pork was also dry and the buns were so soggy that they were falling apart. There was barely any sauce on it and it was so messy that it looked like chili. I would rather just have ordered the hot dog or regular burger and don't get the loaded fries. It's not worth it. Come here with little to no expectations.

Rachel A.

Yelp
The food has very little flavor. We ordered a crispy chicken sandwich, cheeseburger, chicken tenders and fries. The chicken sandwich had a tasty looking sauce which turned out to be flavorless...it was like sour cream with parsley. The chicken tenders were dry and flavorless. The Cheeseburger was fine and the fries were good. All in all, pretty disappointing. The service was friendly though! Hopefully they change up their menu.

Esther S.

Yelp
3.5 stars. Definitely not bad for Yosemite food considering you're in the wilderness. Better than what you might hope to find in most theme parks. Prices are okay, a tiny bit higher than what you'd find in a city. The chicken pesto was moist and tender but just a bit lacking in pesto. The fish sandwich was fine though not as amazing as other yelp reviews might have you believe:)

Bianca C.

Yelp
The food is mediocre. The service is terrible. All the Staff is extremely rude, slow and not helpful at all. I left this place feeling terrible. If you have other dining options, avoid this place.

Brigitte O.

Yelp
Stopped here for a burger after relaxing by the river. The bun was smooshed and the patty was just okay. Overall it was pricier than in n out but not as tasty so I wish we had just made PB&Js instead and that's saying something because I love burgers The employees were friendly and efficient. Overall five stars for the friendly workers and one or two stars for the food.

Pranjali S.

Yelp
Pretty tasty food. Disappointing that they close at 5 pm. We got the chicken teriyaki sandwich and the beer battered fish sandwich. Both were really good. They were also quite filling. Outdoor seating definitely helped during the pandemic season!

Falak S.

Yelp
Oh this place is a blessing, especially if you are travelling with a group of vegetarians. We didnt expect we would find anything veg inside the national park, forget a yummy black bean burger! The fries were a little undercooked. The seating area outside is enormous and ideal to rest after a day hiking. I loved the chicken burger as well.

Dana W.

Yelp
We only ate here because we mistakenly left our bag of pb&j and snacks in the hotel room. The PB&J may have been better. The food was pretty bad, however, each meal comes with watermelon and our kids loved that. We arrived at 11:30 for lunch and there was no line. By the time we left at noon the line was long and there were only seats in direct sun left.

James R.

Yelp
Very average food nothing special could probably get better at a gas station. Would recommend bringing your own food into the park

Charles F.

Yelp
Much, much better than expected for park food. Prices are a little high, but the food is moist and tasty is not just meat in a bun. Beware that they close early, so plan accordingly.

Joanne H.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised that the prices here were 'reasonable' considering it's located in a popular national park attraction. We ordered 6 cheese burgers with a side of fries; although a bit dry, there's nothing ketchup can't fix! (However, I might add, the ketchup here is abnormally sour haha). Waited a long time for our food (perhaps because it was Father's Day), but the workers were kind and threw in an extra side (we chose the salad) for us as an apology. Overall, a great place to grab lunch at Yosemite that's easy on your wallet!

Ron C.

Yelp
I was prepared for sticker shock with a side of awful when I came here. And just like magic, the Village Grill was better than expected! I was hiking in Yosemite as winter-time crowds reduce to a margin compared to the Summer. Naturally, I needed lunch and stumbled upon this place. Perusing the menu I noted not only vegetarian options but healthy choice ones too! Sure enough, and I'll bet Bob's your uncle, those healthy choices can also come with fries (Ergo, the term "Basket."...Yes, indeed, this is a grill). The beverage selection worked fine too and side goodies such as nuts and dried fruit were a welcome relief after a day of hiking. In short this place works. While there are other choices both high end and similar (Another place whose name I have forgotten offers pizza) this little spot is worth your time. And the sticker shock? It never happened! The prices here are reasonable. Seems our tax dollars really are at work!

Navy K.

Yelp
Pack your lunch from your camp you guys. Food sucks here. Onion rings has no flavor and the customer service is horrible. We ordered two chicken tenders and one chicken tenders basket and three other meals. First they didn't even give us the chicken tenders. We went back and asked for it the big guy was rude! He gave my kids 1 chicken tender basket and told them I gave you extra fries so that compensates for the other order of chicken tenders! What kind of BS is that!? So we put all our food back on the tray and told him this is everything you gave us! And he said well here is the other chicken tenders and have fun! WTF kind of shitty service is that!? Don't forget at eat here! Service sucks and food has no flavor!

Laura B.

Yelp
How else am I getting a battered fish sandwich in Yosemite Valley? I've been coming here to camp annually since I was a kid, and only this week stopped off at the Village Grill for lunch. When Dad takes off with the only lighter in his pocket, you've gotta get creative on how you're going to eat without a fire. The service is friendly and funny, the food is filling and freshly cooked (or, you know, defrosted and then cooked - you're in a friggin' valley!), and there are free refills for the entire day. ;-) Watch your food - the squirrels here are ballsy and will grab food right off the table if you're slow at swatting them away. The prices are no worse than you'd see in San Francisco or the Bay Area (Burgers around $6, side of fries $4, a fountain Coke, $2), and there's plenty of comfortable outdoor seating. We left happy and ready for our next hike - if you need to eat quick and get back on the trail, this is the place to go!

Madhavi B.

Yelp
High prices and simple foods; what else can you expect in a National Park cafe? I had the veggie burger, which consisted of a bun, frozen veggie patty, leaf of lettuce and a slice of tomato. It was simple, dry, and bland, and for the price paid, not worth it.

Hovik Z.

Yelp
The food-hander-over guy's attitude sucked. And it seemed like no one in the place knew how to wear a face mask. Hey geniuses - the mask goes over your mouth AND nose. The food was ok.

Henry K.

Yelp
Quick "fast" food (might not be that fast since it was not peak season yet and it still took us a while to get our food) and decent quality. Most surprising part was the price, they actually don't rip you off too badly given how remote the area is. We had hot dog, cheeseburger, fish sandwich, all tasted pretty good and the side (fries, watermelon, salad) were all pretty decent in size. It's also very close to the visitor center so it is convenient (though it can get pretty busy during lunch hours)

Kelly N.

Yelp
I recommend this place for quick friendly service & an excellent black bean burger.

Jacob D.

Yelp
Exceeded Yosemite expectations. Ordered the beer battered fish sandwich. Had tartar, coleslaw, and fish. Came with fries as well. Chill way to relax and catch your breathe in the middle of a hiking day. You probably shouldn't be on your phone in Yosemite anyways but they have probably the best LTE service in the valley.

Tera K.

Yelp
My first visit 2 years ago was much better than my visit last weekend. My chicken strips were dry. My mom's cheeseburger was burned but somehow cold? The fries were really good but they couldn't save our lunch experience. Hopefully they get their groove back before summer.

Carl T.

Yelp
Not as bad as it looks! If you are in Yosemite Valley looking for a nice place to eat look elsewhere! This is your no frills just what you would expect from a fast food, fast food establishment located in a tourist trap federal park. The employees are less than thrilled to be there but not rude or inappropriate, the food is over priced and there is no love showing in the hastily thrown together meal. My expectations were very low after reading previous reviews and after coming across this place while we were hungry and desperate and after finding out first choice was closed for remodeling. So I think that's why I was shocked when our chicken sandwich with pesto was actually tender and quite tasty and the fish sandwich was also tasty and perfectly crunchy. Even the fruit cup consisted of a nice selection of ripe fruit and the fries were pretty good too, although they could have been a bit warmer.
