We spent a week at Biltmore Estate and stayed in the Village Hotel. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. We enjoyed all our activities on the Biltmore estate including falconry, horse back trail ride, carriage ride, and a tour of the Vanderbilt home. The gardens on the estate were lovely and very nicely maintained. We ate so much delicious food at the various restaurants on the property, much of which was estate grown or raised. I felt like I would gain weight from eating so much, but the food was prepared in such a healthy manner that I actually lost a pound, LOL! (I think all the walking we did on the estate trails might have helped, too.) I highly recommend staying at the Village Hotel at Biltmore Estate and doing as many of the activities as possible. And bring a good appetite because the food is fantastic. Oh, and there's a free wine tasting (5 wines of your choice from the tasting menu) at the winery daily from noon to 5:00 PM. We discovered some wonderful estate wines and brought home a case of wine with us. The folks at Biltmore Estate really know how to deliver top notch customer service. A+++++

We loved our experience at the Village Hotel! Our room was great, and there was a beautiful view outside our window. We loved the restaurant inside the hotel, that was very convenient. What I loved the most was that as you walked out the door from the restaurant, you walk right out into the village. Very convenient to go shopping or eat at other restaurants in the evening or just go for a walk. It was lovely and I would definitely stay there again!

Excellent experience at the Village Hotel on Biltmore Estate. Clean and well maintained. This business is bouncing back after the hurricane! A+ I have posted photos of the grape vines that grow outside the amazing wine cellar.

Average accommodation at a premium price. We are here in June - weather hot and humid - and our room feels so damp - sheets too. But the big complaint is the electrical outlets. They put them in the nightstand - way back on the wall so you have to get down on knees to see how to plug something in. All the other outlets are turned sideways so you can’t put your Apple Watch on to charge - because plugs are sideways. Shower floor is very slippery too. No mat, no bar to hang onto. Location is very good on Biltmore property and nice amenities in this little ‘village’ - winery, bistro, farmyard, playground, etc

We thought this was an outstanding hotel! It’s a bit pricey but in a great location. It’s on the Biltmore estate & close to town too. Room was large & beautiful. We ate breakfast at the little food bar on the first floor. Coffee was terrific! Highly recommend this hotel.

Beyond my expectations. I took my family to celebrate my son’s 7th birthday during the 4th of July weekend. The compound is a short drive from the Asheville airport. Upon entering the main entry gates we were all in awe. The grounds are so incredibly beautiful and well maintained. The check in process with quick and simple. Upon entering the room we saw that they had decorated it for his birthday along with a gift, birthday card, and balloons. My son was so excited. Our room is comfortable and well designed. There is ton of storage to easily put away all our belongings. The rooms is large and well lit. Our family of 4 was very comfortable. We had daily breakfast included in our reservation at Village Social. The food here is absolutely wonderful. Fast and friendly service and everything was absolutely delicious. Just a short walk from the hotel was a little village. Shops, winery, food trucks, restaurants, live music, kids playground and so much more. The view of the mountains is stunning. The sounds of laughter and naturhe mixed perfectly in the background. What I’ll miss most is the crisp mountain air mixed with roses, lavender, pine, and honeysuckle. I wish they could bottle this up, because I’d wear it every single day.

Amazing hotel, clean and friendly staff. Location is stunning. Food is good and tasted fresh. Only negative is that the shower is really hot, or just a little too cold there seems to be no middle.

Yelp
We stayed at the Village hotel and loved our experience. The checkin was easy and friendly. There is security to get into the hotel and you need your name for the reservation or to present the room card. Check in and out was easy. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location is great because there is a coffee/sandwich food place in the lobby, it's walking distance to the creamery, winery, boutique shops, small museum and all the restaurants in the village area. The property also has multiple hangout areas and a fire pit as you leave the lobby towards the restaurants. It's also walking distance to the Inn - with a pathway(15 mins). We went to the Inn most days for breakfast- the buffet was incredible. Restaurants close early in Asheville but food delivery was easy with the hotel and the lobby held onto the food and notified us when it arrived. We did not have a car. We Ubered it or used the express shuttle (15 dollars for a day pass). The lady at the Village Hotel front desk helped us book our Biltmore House tickets and the express shuttle tickets and explained everything really well. It was a no-brainer and a very relaxing trip. Hotel staff were friendly throughout our stay. I do think this is one of the best options if you're looking for a nice and convenient place to stay.

Yelp
ALL AREAS ARE REVIEWED 1-5, 1 being the worst and 5 being the best. Reservations-n/a company made them Parking-n/a used Biltmore provided shuttles *shuttles were always on time and heated** Room-3- room was average, kind of small. Desk chair was rigid and very uncomfortable. Mattress/pillows-3- for some reason all 4-5 of my pillows were hard, too large, and difficult to sleep on. Mattress was average Elevator speed/availability-4 two elevators for such a large area was odd but they seemed to always be moving and worked out well Gym/pool-3- gym was very small for the size of the overall hotel. There is a window looking into the gym from the hallway so everyone that walked by could watch you work out. Seemed odd. Restaurant-5- I had dinner at both the loft and the banquet area, and breakfast at the restaurant on the second floor and all were fantastic. Staff-4- Very nice, personable, and courteous Price-3-this seemed a little overpriced for what you received. Overall-3.5 I do t like to do "half" numbers but I didn't want to give them a 3 because the staff was so accommodating. Shout out-none

Yelp
After staying the night at the Inn, it's really hard to compare, but reviewing based on the hotel's merits alone this was just on the OK side. Upon checkin, things were bright and clean looking. Staff was very friendly while we checked in and overall things looked fine. However, upon getting to the room, things took a turn. And I mean a small turn. The room's layout is very small and quite confined. The sink area is almost right on top of the bed around the corner and just overall I felt like I was staying in a cruise ship or a child's newly renovated bedroom after their parents upgrade them to a "big boy bed" and just decide to make it cool. Again - nice staff, clean, but the room was awkward and I couldn't get comfortable.

Yelp
So there is two options for hotel accommodations in the Biltmore Estate. This is the lower end option, but nonetheless, quite good... and here's why. It's a village. Yes, that means you can walk around and find a place to eat, to have a drink, grab an ice cream, drink wine, go swimming (outdoor swimming pool), etc. What I also liked about this hotel is it's family friendly. You can bring a family and entertain all ages. This essentially can be a great family vacation, because this estate is HUMUNGOUS!!! It has a lot to offer and do, and sightseeing is a must! The hotel itself is nice. It's clean, spacious with friendly staff all over the resort. The negative part is the parking. Plenty of outdoor parking, but it's a bit of a walk to get to the hotel lobby. So if you have luggage to drag along it will be quite tedious. FYI: You need a vehicle to visit the Biltmore estate and get around. No Uber rides available here. Random FYI: I had one of the best bacon experience in my life at their breakfast restaurant. To this day I relive that bacon memory. One of the reasons I would come back here will be for their bacon haha.

Yelp
Outstanding hotel! The staff were super friendly, the rooms were spotless and quiet, and it was right next to antler village. The towels were excellent quality and the bed was very comfortable. We had breakfast on the second floor and Jenee White was our waitress. She was the absolute best! As far as the food goes, the grits, biscuits, and potatoes were second to none! You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

Yelp
firstly This Hotel does Not provide Shuttle service for its guests! I chose the length of stay package and was only able to go the the Estate once since I did not have a vehicl. I was sold shuttle passes to get to the winery which was literally 50 feet away from the back door of the Hotel. I was also sold shuttle passes to get to the Estate for my 9am tour, however the shuttles don't start running until 9:40. also, although there is a decent restaurant in the hotel, they DO NOT provide room service. For $900 a night wort hotel ever! i even requested they refund the "package" which I did not get to use and just charg me per night for the room and they wouldn'. totally disappointed. DONT waste your money if you don't have a car

Yelp
We stayed at the Village Hotel a long weekend. The place was nice, clean and well taken care of. The staff was also nice and very helpful. Our room was nice, the bed was comfy. They even provided an umbrella in case it rains during your stay. Our reservations included breakfast, the Biltmore house tour and the Italian Renaissance alive show. Breakfast was always delicious, sometimes there was a wait but it wasn't very long. I personally would not spend money on the Renaissance Show. We walked out. There are little shops and restaurants in the Village. We did have trouble with the air in the room. The room would get hot for no reason. It was difficult to stay asleep when you start sweating, but we also didn't call the front desk about it. Overall we had an great stay

Yelp
Poorly lit small king bed room. Tiny sink area with noisy vent in shower. TV didn't work. Door lock jammed. Beautiful grounds, restaurants. Great location but not worth the price.

Yelp
A great place to stay for a getaway weekend - - - - - - - - September, 2022 Visit ----- ----- My wonderful wife had a great plan for our 23rd wedding anniversary - a weekend at the Biltmore Estate, and we had a wonderful time... ... thanks to the nice room and pool at the Village Hotel on Biltmore Estate. - - - - - - - - A very nice hotel The Biltmore Estate has multiple places to stay the night: The Inn, cottages, and the Village Hotel. We selected the Village Hotel, and we're glad we did. My wife had the foresight to select a reservation package that included the room, breakfast at the Village Social, and the Biltmore House tour - we picked the house tour time when we confirmed our reservation. The Biltmore phone app points you to the website for room reservations. The pages are informational, and calling the Biltmore to talk with reservation agents is also helpful. Lone recommendation - you may want to request foam pillows as the standard pillows are quite soft. - - - - - - - - The Arrival and Parking We drove in from Charlotte, and once we got near Asheville, we were able to follow the signs on the Interstate, and in town, to get to the Biltmore. The guards at the entrance point you in the right direction, and provide you with the the brochure with the map to the property. It's only a couple turns from the entrance to the hotel, a nice, leisurely drive begins your visit. There is a sizeable parking lot right in front of the hotel... easy to drop off the bags at the front door, park the car and check in and get situated in your room; very short walk from lot to front door. It appears that everyone is in a relaxed mood, including the Hosts / Hostesses - they warmly welcome you and get your checked in... at a nice pace - not to slow, but neither rushed; they help set the tone and pace for getting away, which was the Vanderbilt's purpose for the Estate - for them and their guests 100+ years ago, and for us visitors now. - - - - - - - - Antler Hill Village The Village Hotels is located in the Antler Hill Village, with a short walking distance to - Cedric's Tavern - Smokehouse BBQ food truck - Creamery / Ice Cream - The Winery (2-3 min) - Multiple stores - The Farm, with has equipment and a TV playing a video that shares much background on the building of the Estate, how it was created with a working farm that is still in use today, feeding guests, and how the farm staff were more numerous then, in the late 1890s, than the entire staff of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) [to whom much Vanderbilt / Estate land was gifted by Edith, after George's death, to create the Pisgah National Forest] - - - - - - - - Food... Fantastic dinner at Cedric's: - Rose gin & tonic... gin from Asheville's The Chemist - Salad - Pork chop and NY strip Breakfasts at The Village Social, which is just up the stairs from the Village Hotel's lobby (with its own doors to the rest of Antler Hill Village on that level) - Crab and Pesto Egg Scramble for each of us both mornings - wonderful! BBQ at the Smokehouse food truck - light snack in the afternoon - brisket & Carolina sauces Dinner at The Inn - Exceptional service by Chris and Jasmine - Exquisite food - amours bouche of tomato bisque + basil; she crab soup; gluten-free breads; scallops & steak; fine Biltmore Malbec wine - - - - - - - - The Room We don't often stay in rooms on the ground floor, but we did on this trip and that was just fine on this trip... we had a room in a corner nook, with a view of the pool. We were provided with a nice king bed, with a desk and side tables... and a padded bench in front of the window. Barn door to cover the shower area. Bottles of Biltmore wine and glasses for those interested. There was a TV and we did not even think of turning it on - just time for us to be together. - - - - - - - - The Kitchen Cafe, the breakfast bar in the lobby, also sells coffee mugs and... Village Hotel luggage tags - nice! - - - - - - - - Thank you staff at the Village Hotel, for our wonderful visit! See you again, soon! ----- ----- -----

Yelp
I visited last year for a work event and enjoyed my time on the property so my wife and I decided to visit this year. During my first visit I stayed at the Inn and thought it would be better to stay at the hotel given the location to antler village. We did walk quite a bit on the grounds so no regrets for choosing the hotel over the Inn. The food and snack options where very helpful and easy to get to with the time we spent on the property. The hotel facility was very nice, clean and overall pretty quite. The staff everywhere is very accommodating and attentive. The rooms at the hotel are smaller than the rooms at the Inn but as well appointed. No regrets. I saw that at least a couple of people commented on the beds - I will say that the bed was lacking a little - Uncomfortable mattress and slept warm - meaning temperature of the mattress itself - I'm guessing a mattress pad or cover is the culprit. Would absolutely stay again.

Yelp
I almost didn't book this hotel given the reviews. For the price tag I would expect the reviews to be pretty solid...but our experience was great! I traveled with my 4 young kids solo for spring break since my husband was working and we had an amazing time at antler village. It is so family friendly. The room was spacious for the 5 of us and beds so comfortable. There was welcome wine and gifts for us. Filtered water machine which is huge if you have kids. Parking right across the street which was easy access with all the kids and their loads of stuff. The staff was so friendly and the room was perfectly clean which is a big deal to me! We loved the whole stay and can't wait to return.

Yelp
We just returned from a stay at this hotel. This included the unexpected visit of Hurricane Helene. The hotel in general is very nice with comfortable rooms and warm common areas. The staff and service was very good with a friendly, helpful attitude. Prior to Hurricane Helene. After the hurricane hit and we were stranded, the staff kicked into a higher gear and were helpful, kind, friendly and caring to an extremely high level. I can not speak highly enough of the dedication and professionalism I saw in those three days. Remember, these were people working for us in the hotel, not at their home or with their family, where they had every right to be. I am extremely impressed with this facility.

Yelp
I was so very excited about staying on property this visit, but I am afraid this hotel didn't completely hit the mark. The staff was friendly, the facility is very clean and well maintained, and the room was beautiful ... However we didn't sleep at all! The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, which took us both by surprise. Biltmore is luxury and this bed was the opposite. The thermostat in the room was clearly wrong. We were so hot all night and actually reached a point of trying to open a window even though it was below freezing out. The best part about the hotel, which is why we booked it, is that you are steps from the winery and almost all of the restaurants. The Village is beautiful at night, and so fun to be in. We were just very disappointed in the comfort of the bed and it played a big part in our trip. We had planned to have breakfast at the Village Social but were irritated and tired the following morning so the price tags suddenly became a large turn off. We left property for breakfast and both said that would be the last time we stayed at that hotel.

Yelp
Where should I begin... Our check in was rather very rocky!!!!!!! We wanted to use a debit card at check in since the credit card we where planning to use had been compromised a few days prior our vacation. The lobby was really full and lots of guests where waiting on to check in as well. When it was our turn to check in my husband handed the clerk his card. She swiped it once, then twice, looked up at us saying: "Your card has been denied". We where confused because we knew that we had plenty of funds and asked the clerk to please try one more time. She then looked at us and "announced" very loud to the whole lobby: "Your card doesn't work because of insufficient funds!!! You won't be able to check in." All heads turned and we where given pity looks, and got some head shakes from others. My husband and I stepped aside. I asked him to call the bank to see what was going on. It was a simple fix. The bank raised the daily spending limit and we where good to go and yes, able to check in. The female front desk clerk was super unprofessional and gave us a bad taste the whole time we where at the hotel. I wrote a review to the Biltmore about the issue but never received an answer. Otherwise we had a good time. The grounds and restaurants on the property are beautiful. We went horseback riding - which was super nice and booked a carriage ride - which was overpriced and super short, visited the Biltmore house and gardens which are beyond beautiful.

Yelp
Located within Antler Hill Village, the Village Hotel makes for a convenient stay if you're visiting Biltmore. We loved staying here as there were several dining options, shopping venues, a mini petting farm, and live music withing walking distance to the hotel. The front lobby is bright and airy with a modern country-chic feel that makes you feel like home. Right next to the front desks is a small cafe called The Kitchen that's open most of the day and offers snacks, drinks, and light gourmet sandwiches. All the staff we ran into were friendly, prompt, and took the extra mile to make our experience a memorable one. Our room was clean, bright, and had all the amenities we could need. One of the first things I do when I check into a hotel is look for the toiletries... and the Village Hotel did not disappoint! C.O. Bigelow's Lavender-Peppermint line put a huge smile on my face! So soft on my hair and skin, I would always leave the shower smelling fresh and relaxed. Being centrally located within Antler Hill Village, I was afraid that there would be a lot of foot traffic and noise in the evening. To my surprise, it was actually really quiet and peaceful. Even on the nights when we turned in early, we couldn't hear the live music playing outdoors. We really loved our stay and can't wait to return for another adventure. Thanks for another great experience! p.s. I loved the 2 white glass gourds in the lobby by the sitting area (they are LED lit). I've been searching for them online with no luck. If you have any idea where your designers purchased them from, please let me know! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!!!

Yelp
Such great staff and lovely room overlooking the courtyard. Many options for relaxing and close to the shops. I chose to sit outside in the courtyard in the mornings. Met a lovely woman who was wiping the water off of the chairs and tables. As it got hotter, I moved inside to the lobby with comfortable chairs. The small walkup food station is perfect for that cup of coffee or a quick lunch. Again, Daniel waited on us (he's everywhere!) and was helpful and pleasant. The desk staff was also courteous and helpful with any questions we had during our stay. We are looking forward to the Monet experience. Lovely garden with trains any kid and adult would love.

Yelp
Amenities are lacking (no microwave so you have to travel ten miles downstairs to use the public one), and what's the deal with only showers? My sensory-sensitive kid couldn't bathe the whole trip because she can only do baths and any attempts at a shower ended in meltdowns, but maybe I shouldn't have assumed this pretty standard feature? Beds are also hard as rocks. Other than that though, the convenience is worth staying here. You walk outside and everything is there, the Village Social and Bistro are right outside, the winery, playground, shops, ice cream shop. We decided to stay two nights here and two nights at the Inn and didn't want to leave for the inn because of the convenience. In terms of Biltmore concierge for both properties, really unhelpful honestly. I emailed at one point to talk about restaurants and they were seriously unhelpful (like why even say to email concierge if you give me the same script I can find on your website and I'm asking for suggestions. Like even telling me that Village Social and Bistro were at the hotel when I'm making dinner reservations would have been nice. Concierge over the phone was just as unhelpful though he did pep up toward the end when I decided to add more to our package (insert eyeroll).

Yelp
I am very disappointed with the booking and group sales staff. I am trying to make reservations for a group of students to stay in the Village Hotel for one night. I was told Yesterday (9/25/26) since we needed 10 rooms we could speak with group sales and get a better rate than the rate she quoted me at $462 per room per night. I was contacted by Lynn Beach Smith with group sales this morning and she told me in order to get a group sales rate I would need to book at least 20 rooms. It was very evident she was frustrated to even speak to me and I was wasting her time. Ms. Smith told me to call back to a regular agent not group sales. I did just that and spoke with Renee. Renee quoted me 678.00 per room/night. I told her the price I was quoted yesterday and she said the rates have now changed. I explained I was ready to book these rooms yesterday but was told I needed to talk to group sales. Renee said she would talk to a supervisor to see if she could get the original rate of $462 that I was quoted yesterday. She called back 30 minutes later and said the best she could do was $968 per room/night. That is another increase of 290.00 in 30 minutes!!! I am just shocked with this whole experience and run-around I recieved. Our Superintendent was trying to take this group of very deserving students to the Biltmore and stay at lodging that many may never get another chance to stay at.

Yelp
The Village Hotel on Biltmore Estate is a perfectly fine hotel. You're not going to be blown away by it's splendor, but you won't be leaving mad either. Upon entering the hotel, which is located on Biltmore property next to their winery and shops better known as Antler Village, the hotel is a small, three story building with an outdoor pool, small, (very small) gym, and a cafe type eatery next to their reception area. What I liked about the hotel: - If you're going to the Biltmore Estate, there is a complimentary shuttle to and from. -If you're going to the Biltmore Estate and scheduled a reservation time, it doesn't matter. You can go at any time with your ticket as long as you're a guest at the hotel. - I was impressed with the size of the hotel room. - The hotel was very quiet. The hotel had such amenities like free cider from 3-5pm and bingo at 7pm until 9pm. Things that were not great: - The wifi connection - The comfort (or lack) of the bed - The shower wasn't sealed at the bottom so water continued to flood our bathroom. - The size of the gym - Check out is at noon which is amazing, but what is not amazing is when the hotel staff bangs on doors at 8am to see if you're still in there. Yes, I'm sleeping! The hotel is located a few miles back from the main round so you really feel like you're out in the country while you're here. Once you're inside you feel kind of trap. It's not an easy Starbucks run, that's for sure. The grounds are beautiful. It's a nice, quiet place that even has farm animals next to it. I liked it. I didn't love it, but if I was at the estate again I wouldn't be brokenhearted if I needed to stay there again.

Yelp
Hazardous conditions in room 8187. Electrical outlet beneath phone loose inside wall, non-functional. Large gap under shower door, allowing much water onto floor, causing slipping hazard. Man that checked us in not friendly, not forthcoming with any information and condescending when asking about the trolley I saw driving around the grounds.

Yelp
I recently stayed a few nights at Biltmore's Village Hotel for a girls' trip. Biltmore grounds are FABULOUS. However the Village Hotel was a bit of a let-down. PROS: - The room layout was nice. - Rate was affordable when split with others. - Free yoga class at 8 am on Saturday mornings. - Free mini-bus transportation around the resort, including ability to use services at The Inn. CONS: - Seriously the most uncomfortable, hard, stiff hotel bed I've ever slept in. - One bath towel was provided per guest. - Complimentary coffee available only before 7:00 am in the hotel lobby; must pay after that time for literally the same item. - Previously-mentioned free yoga class was held in a non-climate-controlled barn in below-freezing temperatures. - Heated pool was closed due to cold outside temperatures. But it's heated...? I love Asheville, but I would not stay at the Village Hotel again.

Mark M.

Yelp
Best location for visiting the Estate. Service was excellent while food was pricey. We went to the Inn for dinner once. I am glad we decided not to stay there. Nothing was convenient. You would drive to everything. We thought the food at the Bistro and Social restaurant was better than the Dining Room at the Inn. We bought the Thanksgiving package that included breakfast at Social. We could order as much as we want and there was no charge. One day they cleaned our room very late. That's our only complaint. Beds were not comfortable the first night but like magic we slept the other few nights. Before our trip I was told there was a shuttle around the property. Once there I was told shuttle only for handicapped and guests at the inn.

Yelp
Caveat emptor. I think they gave away our connecting rooms. We were looking forward to going to the Biltmore to celebrate Christmas since we stayed there over the summer and had thoroughly enjoyed it. I made reservations in August at the Village Hotel for December 2nd-4th for two connecting rooms and confirmed this the day before the reservation. We arrived at the hotel about 11PM (after driving over 5 hrs) and were told our connecting rooms were not available but that two non-connecting rooms were. They also said that connecting rooms are not guaranteed but we were not told this over the phone (they actually confirmed we had them the day before). We have young children and prefer to be together rather than split up. They were unable to help us. Errors happen sometimes. In the past, if an error was made, other high-end hotels have offered some sort of token (room discount, breakfast, gift item, etc) to compensate for their error. The manager initially appeared to try to help us. When I mentioned that my wife and I needed to discuss what to do, he put on his coat, handed us off to his other associates, (who were completely uninformed as to the situation) and left. Apparently, his shift was over. Isn't this supposed to be a "hospitality" industry? We subsequently got a room at a local Hilton where we were treated appropriately. They also guarantee connecting rooms ahead of time per the manager.

Yelp
We received a $420 credit when our trip was cancelled due to Hurricane Ian. We were not able to book the trip within 6 months of the cancellation so the Biltmore voided our credit. The Biltmore refused to honor the credit or refund the money. They took our $420 and did not provide any products or services. THIS is the customer experience you can expect to receive: profit over customer service.

Yelp
For my 1st outing during covid (late august) the faculty has tons of hand sanitizer available and mask protocol that is in place and enforced. The rooms leave a bit to be desired. We had a double queens for around $500 a night which came with high expectations. While they can't truly control guest noise there was quite a bit. The door is extremely heavy to open and 100% takes 2 people if you're carrying luggage. Total disappointment with the bathroom being a shower only and the vent in the bathroom (pictured below) was just nasty which makes me mildly concerned about the quality of the recycled air usually used in hotels. In all staff was kind, masked up and always socially distanced. Our room overlooked the pool so again a bit of added noise. And while I would have used it this time should the hotel have been at bit more reasonably priced I would have potentially come back if there's been a hot tub and some better in room amenities. Tv shut off (not on a timer) in the middle of a movie we were watching and had to reboot so we missed the ending. 1st world problems for sure but would rather have honestly for those planning to come expecting an elevated experience. Restaurants are nice. Tables all distanced. Pricey but to be expected. Bartenders were knowledgeable of local wines and beers as well. As a annual pass member maybe consider some lower rates/specials to entice us back for another experience. Was intending for 3.5 stars.

Yelp
My wife and I took a trip to Asheville for our anniversary. We stayed at the Village Hotel on Biltmore Estate. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was nice and new. This location is right next door to the winery - by staying at the hotel, you get free reserve wine tasting each day from 11a - 3p. It is also next to dining, shopping, museums. There is shuttle from the hotel to other locations on the estate, like the Biltmore, and horseback riding. It's not cheap, but it was a very fun trip.

Yelp
Everything about this place is overpriced and underwhelming. They do not allow check-in until 4 PM. And according to the employee I spoke with the get an early check-in that is not an option. Upon check in we were hungry. They told us we could eat in the restaurant on the second floor because the winery didn't serve food and the wait at the other restaurant was 2 hours. We changed and walked over to the restaurant and it was CLOSED. Not open for dinner on Thursday. So, despite this being an experience where you don't have to leave the property, we had to leave to go find dinner. Literally everything closes at 6! Seriously?!? They don't allow check-in until 4, then you have no time at all to explore. There are no shuttles or anything running, so you have to drive to the inn or the estate of you want to see anything else. We were also told that we got a discount on anything at the property and gave us a discount card to use. When we went to use it at the estate we were told it wasn't good here?!?! DO NOT spend your money here. It is a very average, of that, experience for a very high pricetag. Very disappointing.

Yelp
This is our 3rd stay at the Village Hotel in last 3 years. In the past my family and I have really enjoyed our stay. Rooms are pricey but I felt that there have been so many activities and other amenities, along with the quality of the room, which made it worth the price. Much has changed since Covid. 1. $100 additional is automatically charged to your account at check in for any items purchased/incidentals during your stay. That was not explained until I asked why the amount was higher when I checked in and signed the bill. I find this very unreasonable. The front desk person told me the rationale is that they no longer accept cash. However there's no reason why I can't just use a credit card to pay for everything rather than be charged for something that I have yet to buy! 2. Fresh towels are no longer provided unless you ask and your bed is no longer fixed unless you request that ahead of time. This expectation was not clearly set at the time of check in. I also find this unreasonable and irritating. 3. Based on our last visit which was just last fall, restaurant pricing on the property has soared. A burger at the Village Social is now $18 and I'm fairly confident it was not that much last year. For these reasons alone, I will be very hesitant to return. Just not worth the price.

Yelp
Beautiful room, lovely amenities where we stayed for two nights September 18-20, 2019. After enjoying our in room K-Cup coffee we left the room at 8:45 to take the free shuttle to the house and gardens. After a full day we returned to our room at 5:15 PM to discover our beds had never been made up. Fresh towels and replacement coffee pods but our beds had not been touched. Disappointed especially at this price point. I spoke to the front desk when we left for dinner, an apology but the incident was not recorded. After returning for dinner I returned to the front desk, this time another clerk wrote it down and promised to share it with management. I make my bed at home. It is unacceptable at a resort of this caliber and price not to at least make the beds on a daily basis.

Yelp
We would stay here again, small room but clean and nice. Walking to dinner, drinks, outdoor activities, live entertainment, winery etc. Stay here included free shuttle to the Biltmore House, the inn and other stops. Optional activities are river raft, kayaking, horseback riding, Segway etc etc etc. Biltmore is what Mr Vanderbilt named his House in the 1890's, the hotel chain ( not related) used the name on their hotels prior to Vanderbilt copywriting the name.

Yelp
Our recent dining experience in the Restaurant Social was truly disappointing. First, we called to book a party of 12 only to be told the only time available was at 9:00 pm. Although we had a young child in our family party, we got there at 9:00 only to find the place half empty and our table was only set up for 10. After we finally got seated the waitress did not go around asking each person if they cared for a drink but stood by the child and asked, expecting everyone to hear her above the noise in the place. The cheesy biscuits were ordered as an appetizer and we were told they were out of cheese, so they sent out jam and butter instead, like breakfast, and the biscuits were absolutely burned. When the hostess was told she answered that we wouldn't be charged for the biscuits and I told her that was irrelevant that they should't have been served at all. The place is so pricey that most of our party opted for the least expensive choice on the menu, a hamburger at $18. Ridiculous! My choice was the arugula berry salad with nuts and goat cheese. Instead I was served a bowl of arugula with 2 small pieces of strawberries only, Not whole strawberries, just pieces. When I mentioned this to our server she said the fruit was probably on the bottom. They were not so I had to request the fruit, nuts and cheese. The service was spotty at best and the place is very noisy. What a waste of $$$. Should have opted for Cedric's.

Yelp
It was nice being on the Biltmore property- convenient and beautiful grounds. The front desk staff needs help. First, we were advised that we did not need to make reservations for the restaurant and YOU DO! We could not get in for over an hour. Secondly, my husband had to call the front desk 3 times before they answered and then the person was irritated by the call.

Yelp
The whole experience is wonderful from the gate to your room. Staff is on it! Dignified, pleasant, accommodating & knowledable. We wanted for nothing and who doesn't like that?! Incredible well priced for the experience too. Our room accommodations were excellent. Very comfortable bed, luxury linens, very quiet , great view, better toiletries, excellent shower sauna, personal coffee stain, WiFi worked great, flat screen tv, ample closet space & the layout allows for ease. So many services provided too so be sure to review the website for offers. The pool is smaller but private and well maintained. I can't wait to come again!

Yelp
If you have ever stayed at The Inn on Biltmore Estate, you will not for one second be confused as to which inn you are staying at if you visit here. You cannot for a minute compare the two, and considering the nightly rate for here was $179 on a night when "up the hill" was $400+.... you shouldn't try. Yet you will, because they are literally so close. You pull up the Village Hotel and the slightly-too-small for volume driveway will probably be full, and the staffer stationed in this area will not offer to help with bags or park your car... he will ask that you go around and park down the ramp and wait on an available slot to unload. There are luggage carts and a large self park lot - there are no valets or bell staff. That's fine. I waited in line for two guests ahead of me to transact their business at check in, there was only one rep working and desk stations for four, and there is no concierge, so the guests ahead of me were asking directions, shuttle details, etc. It wasn't very long of a wait, so again, that's fine. I got our key and room number about the time hubby got the car unloaded, so I waited with the luggage cart for him to return after parking the car. He knew I had injured my knee earlier in the day, and noted that the full flight of stairs from the self parking area to the lobby would have been a challenge for me anyway, so good thing it worked out as it did. We went around the corner of a slightly-too-narrow hallway to reach the elevators and our room. The building is very new construction, having only been open for six months prior to our visit. Our King room overlooked the parking lot even though we were on the top floor, there are only four floors in all. The bathroom and dressing area to the left was very cute. I love the sliding barn door to separate the shower/toilet and the decor was overall very attractive. Ahead of you is a cute upholstered window seat with drawers underneath instead of a dresser, and cute desk area. There was plenty of room for the luggage stand to the right wall, and while things were cozy, it was cute. That is, until I realized that even though they were only six months old, so many guests before us had sat on the bed on the right side, it went way downhill rolling you out at night. We drew straws for that side, and while the left side didn't roll, the bed was so close to the wall I jammed a toe in the night getting out of bed. My other issue could have been so easily solved. The toilet was in a tight alcove in the bathroom, and the paper was right where your knees hit it. I know that hubby and I are both large people, but if they had just moved this up a couple of inches... who would have ever complained? Ouch. Liked having a bench in the shower, that was nice. One other ding we noticed, literally, was the presence of marks in the slightly-too-narrow hallways and near the elevator were we guess maintenance or housekeeping carts have marred the walls. I know nothing can stay pristine forever, but again, only open six months? Wow.

Yelp
We took advantage of the Spring special to stay three nights at the Village Hotel during our visit to the Biltmore Estate and so happy we did. On our previous visit to Asheville and the Biltmore we stayed right outside the entrance and really enjoyed the hotel. But what a difference to stay on property! We felt so at ease during our stay walking around the Village and taking the shuttle to the home. We enjoyed with farm area, going often to see the baby goats, and walking into the winery to taste and purchase some wine. We also rented bikes at the bike barn for a nice ride along the Pond trail and up to Deer Park. The room we stayed in was comfortable and nicely laid out. Nice big shower area. We played a few rounds of Corn Hole while sitting and drinking outside the lobby at a really nice area. Dinning in the area is ok, we had breakfast and one lunch at Village Social and a dinner at the Bistro. Both were good, not great and a little pricey but so convenient and not so much more than dinning in town. So, if you want to really enjoy the beauty and all of what the Biltmore has to offer then stay on the grounds and at the Village Hotel.

Yelp
My mom, sister and I came to stay here for a quick weekend get away from Charlotte. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel was not fancy but was comfortable and welcoming. There is a pool. But we were there (March 20) before it opened. There was a full service coffee bar in the hotel (that earned major points from me). And the restaurant upstairs had live music, a good food selection and full bar. The hotel was walking distance to the winery were we partook in some wine tasting (free). And a few other restaurants and shops. Another plus is you can park and take the shuttles around the property.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here on our minimoon. Because it was the minimoon we decided to stay here versus the Inn. The hotel was built in 2015 and the rooms are a good size and very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. It was easy to walk to the Inn, the winery, the barn, and Antler Hill Village. The biggest downside to the hotel is that there was no valet or bellman service and I don't believe there was any room service option. In the grand scheme of things- this wasn't important and we made it work but I would have like to know that before time. I would still come back and stay at the Village Hotel without a doubt. It was economical when compared to other options and was convenient.

Yelp
We stayed this weekend at the Village Hotel on The Biltmore Estate. The hotel was nice but nothing fancy and did not offer valet parking, luggage bell service, nightly turn down service and the rooms were tiny for $500+ per night. At those prices I would expect somewhat more of a premium experience. No different than a Hampton Inn. Save your money.

Rachael S.

Yelp
This hotel has terrible service. They charged us more than what the room rate was for the nights we stayed. They put us in a handicap people room where shower was tiny and was almost impossible to take shower. And charged us $523 a night. And told us that it was military discounted rate. When I talked to one of the managers about accommodating us on the room she sold since we couldn't take shower, she was beyond terrible. It was first time for our family holiday vacation to stay at the hotel and it was very unpleasant experience and assure you won't ever come back to this place again. What a holiday spirit they had on us. Very shameful.

Yelp
Not the Luxury I Expected. For a world famous hotel and cultural icon, I expected the Village Hotel to be just as upscale. I found the service adequate, the room nice , the features and amenities acceptable , but if you're coming for some exceptional Resort experience you are probably better off at a Club Med. There is nothing extraordinary about the decor in the rooms nor the architecture. The staff is pleasant and prompt and the food in the cafe is good (although the menu is very small.) The pool area reminded me of one I would see at any Hilton and perhaps not as well appointed. At the height of the flower season there were no plants with any color. For those who are aesthetically sensitive it is quite disappointing. Most importantly do not order the Pinot Grigio which tastes like vinegar. If you are coming for a tour, the grounds are lovely and the tours are good, but the hotel, at least the Village Hotel, leaves a great deal to be desired. Way too expensive for the quality. If you are looking for a unique experience at the Biltmore you might want to check the other hotels which may cost more but will probably be more worth the investment.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the Village Hotel for our honeymoon. Due to Covid, many things were closed, which is to be expected. I called a week and a half prior about paying to make the room special for our honeymoon. I was not called back until the end of the 2nd day of our two day stay. The some of the staff at the hotel ( minus the front desk) was less than friendly and the Hotel seemed unorganized. A friend of ours attempted to contact the GM to send us a gift basket and was never able to get in contact with anyone. As much as I loved visiting the Biltmore Estate, I will not stay at the Hotel again.

Yelp
Spent $700 to find out that it didn't include access to the house. The guest services lady was extremely rude and didn't help to explain the situation. One of the biggest waste of time and money. Might as well stay at the super 8 And there is no fan in the room so they were extremely hot

Yelp
Really nice property, rooms, and hospitality. Easy to walk to the Biltmore winery, village, farm etc. free shuttle to The Biltmore Estate. You don't need to drive during your stay-love that. There is no valet or bellman to help with luggage, but that's no biggy. My one complaint- the sheets have a plastic/polyester feeling to them- really don't like the sheets. Otherwise looking forward to coming back again.

Yelp
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and professional. I have no complaints except for the cost. In addition to a high nightly rate, Village Hotel charges for extras every chance they get, to the point my family and I used the term "price gouging". Initially I paid for two guests and then called to inform them a third person was joining us. There was an extra $30 fee for the third person, which I assumed there would be, that was why I called. When we arrived, we took advantage of the "free self parking" (that's a fancy way to say you park your own car) because even though my mother has a handicapped parking tag, valet parking is $25. That's fine, we dropped her off in the lobby and then used a cart to get our luggage to the room. While I was surprised there was no one to assist w/ our luggage, I don't mind carrying my own stuff. Even though the reservation was for three, the room was set up for 2 - 2 glasses, 2 mugs, 2 towels sets and 2 double beds. Double beds are kind of small for two adults. I called the front desk and asked about a cot, as advertised in the printed material. I was told the cot is $25 extra. I explained I had already paid $30 extra for the third person and then was told that $30 is just a fee and does not include anything. Service was excellent and while we were out for dinner, extra glasses, towels and the cot were delivered to the room. We decided to eat out meals off site, as the restaurant at Village Hotel (the Village Social) is expensive. For example, a sandwich is approximately $20. Pancakes are $15. For entertainment in the evening, we sat around the fire place in the lobby and threw crisp one hundred dollar bills into the fire. They didn't charge us extra to do that.

Yelp
From the time we checked in on Thursday, August 5, 2021 until our departure on Saturday, August 7, we have nothing but good things to say about our stay. Check in was seamless. Associate was helpful, thorough, and willing to answer questions patiently despite the fact that many people were checking in behind me. Our room was perfectly laid out with everything we needed for our two night stay. It was clean and the bed was comfy. I really liked the bench in the commode area as well as the built in bench in the shower. We bought a breakfast package and am happy we did. We could choose anything on the menu from the Village Social. We paid extra for alcohol and of course the package did not include gratuities. Our food both mornings was wonderful and a great way to start our day. We did the complimentary wine tasting on Friday afternoon after our estate tour (excellent also-audio tour was very interesting). Following the wine tasting and joining the Biltmore wine club, we headed over towards Cedric's Tavern and enjoyed a live band on the green space. Great entertainment for all ages! We put our name in at Cedric's and were quoted a one hour wait, but that turned into 45 minutes. Delicious food (Crispy Calamari and Tavern Fish & Chips) and we were able to enjoy the band while we ate outside. Our first trip to Biltmore was one to remember and look forward to returning again to take in everything we didn't get to do the first time!

Yelp
Bed Bugs! I am not an avid reviewer, however after my stay at the Village this weekend I felt it necessary to share with other travelers. I chose the Biltmore hotel over Hotel Indigo, Aloft and Grove Park based on nostalgia and the name of the property. Upon returning to our room from dinner my boyfriend found bugs crawling around on our bed. We did not have the maid services tend to our room that morning as we were going to be staying multiple nights, so these bugs were there from the moment we checked in. For almost $300 a night and the reputation of the Biltmore I would expect pristine accommodations. Bed bugs are not something that can be quietly dealt with, so I would most certainly ask about their efforts to address this issue before staying. We were moved rooms and offered reimbursement for our stay, but our entire weekend was ruined. Next time we will be staying else where.

Yelp
I was disappointed in how we were treated upon check-in. I was there for the marathon and stayed only one night. The estate has a marathon weekend, obviously to increase revenue. When you encourage participants to stay on your property, you SHOULD EXPECT they will need a later check out time to shower afterwards. When I requested a later time, they told me no, they had already reached the limit of how many late check outs they would allow and that I can take a shower in their fitness room. My guest holds a yearly passport to the property, and we thought there would be some perks. There were none for the price of the stay. I was told if I didn't check out at 11am, I would be charged half a day. When we made it to our room, we called the yearly pass-holder number on the card. Thirty minutes later and being passed to 3 people, we finally hung up. We went back to the lobby and asked for the manager on duty. She allowed us to stay until noon. So, Biltmore, you host this event and can't seem to schedule your employees to come in later to clean? Some solutions: ask people with the marathon if they will need a later check out time. Once you know how many rooms are going to be later, schedule employees ahead of time. If you are going to need those rooms by 3pm check-in for a new guest - then schedule more employees to clean. You can even change the starting time of the marathon. Start us at 6am. I ran the race in about 4 hours and had to haul my butt to my room to get showered and out of there by noon. I've ran marathons all over the country and have never had a problem getting a later check out time. Your rate was almost $300 for one night - NOT WORTH IT! On the plus side, nice rooms and friendly housekeeping staff on my floor.

Yelp
Absolutely adorable hotel with wonderful dining options, winery and tasting all outside the hotel doors. If you want to relax and be wined and dined, this was the perfect getaway. We did the estate package which included breakfast at the social and daily entry to the Biltmore. Well worth it!

Yelp
Staying at a bus station might have been more peaceful. If peace and quiet is your cup of tea look elsewhere. From the second you check in at the front desk, through dinner, and retire to your room, noise is the hallmark that this hotel was centered on. I wonder if this is Truely what the Vanderbilt's had in mind for guests when they built the original residence. I think not - especially at these prices.
