Village Ice Cream

Always liked the ice cream here in a cup or a cone which is very rich and creamy plus it is lactose friendly to certain people. Lots of flavour to try. Line is long on summers even on cold days but your patience pays off in the end. They have pet friendly options as well. Employees are nice,friendly and polite. Shop is clean and well maintained. Always a welcome treat to buy here.

Amazing and friendly staff with fantastic list of flavours to choose from. Throughly enjoyed the ice cream especially the melted chocolate!! Will definitely visit again!

Omg this ice cream is SO good!! Super creamy, full of flavor, and not overly sweet. You can tell they use good ingredients because every bite tastes fresh and rich. I could seriously eat this every day 😂 Definitely my new favorite spot for ice cream!

We've been staring at the line outside the door of this ice cream shop for nearly two years. We finally went in today. They make their own waffle cones which is great and the coffee flavoured ice cream was very creamy and delicious. You can take home pre packaged ice creams as well. Coming out of the VIP movie theater this is a delicious treat.

I love the ice cream flavours and the staff are great , but the last two times I went it seemed like they were rushing the closing task way before close. I understand it takes time to clean but I was really disappointed to see that there were no waffle cones in the last hour. I hope you guys can make some extra before turning off the machine.

I love ice-cream and love love custard. But this ice-cream is something else. Rich, fresh and just sweet enough. Hands down it's one of the best ice-cream I have ever had! We were in Calgary to visit Banf and we came to this Village Ice-cream shop every single night during our entire visit.

We took a weekend stroll through the University district, had lunch with our godmother, and decided to head over for ice cream. Village Ice Cream never disappoints. The quality is exceptional, with flavors that strike the perfect balance between sweetness and richness. My favorite has always been the honeyberry—it's a delightful mix of sweet, sour, and tart. Although there was a bit of a line, it moved quickly. There are plenty of seating areas both inside and out.

Hands down this is the best place for ice cream in YYC! Great staff and awesome selections. A bit pricey but worth it. You are cheating yourself out of the whole experience if you don't get a freshly made waffle cone! Also bring your dog since they have a dog friendly ice-cream option too. My favorite is the Earl Grey and the Coconut one. I loved the mini donut one during stampede but its seasonal. Bring it back! Village Ice Cream in the UD is the best.

Maple pecan was nice but nothing extraordinary. Honey berry was kind of middle of the road for us. Couldn't really taste the berry, just sweet. The waffle cones were freshly made in house and delicious.

Came here for dessert after we had dinner at Canadian Brewhouse. They had coffee crisp ice cream. We ordered 2 single scoops of that and the scooper there recommended double scoop to save money. That's customer service! Kids and I enjoyed the ice cream. Will definitely be back.
