We have just returned home from Cape Cod and our stay at The Village Inn. |What a wonderful place, extremely clean and tidy and set in truly comfortable surroundings. We particularly enjoyed the excellent homecooked breakfasts served on the patio. We received a very warm welcome from Jen and nothing was too much trouble. We would certainly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

What a GREAT stay at this bed & breakfast for 5 nights. This is an historic house with all the modern amenities but an historic charm. The house & rooms are very clean. Jennifer, the new owner does an outstanding job with memorable freshly prepared breakfasts. |There are additional touches such as a red & white wine with snacks available in the early evening if you want to partake before your dinner out. Also chocolate candies available and beach towels to use.|Yes we will go back when visiting the cape.

The Village Inn was the perfect stay for our Cape Cod vacation. Jennifer was very communicative from the time of booking through our last day. She had great recommendations in the area and it was a wonderful speaking to the other guests to get their insights as well. Breakfast was DELICIOUS!!! The property is very well kept inside and outside and truly made for a very relaxing time.

We have stayed at The Village Inn for several years now, and it is wonderful each time. This past visit did not disappoint! From check in to check out we felt welcomed and cared for. The room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing! I loved my quinoa bowl with spinach, mushrooms, and a fried egg. We will be back next summer!

My husband and I shared a very relaxing and memorable 4 nights at this charming, family run inn. The Innkeeper, Jennifer, and her two college aged children gave us a warm welcome and we immediately felt as though we were staying with family friends. Our room faced the front and had lovely afternoon light. Each morning, we were treated to a two course homemade breakfast prepared by Jennifer. She even thoughtfully catered to my vegetarian dietary needs and truly went above and beyond with guest requests. The inn is centrally located and in a gorgeous neighborhood with nearby restaurants and coffee shops. I took a couple morning walks and met some friendly locals. Upon our departure to Boston, Jennifer gave us a list of sights to see and restaurants to try. I hope we visit again soon. Thank you for such a charming and relaxing visit, Jennifer

We had a wonderful stay at the Village Inn. The room was very nice with great bathroom and bed. Great breakfasts. Everything was very nice. Hosts were friendly. Location worked out great for exploring the Cape in both directions.

Us three 55+ ladies thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Village Inn. ||Very welcoming Inn Keeper (Jennifer). She makes a lovely breakfast from scratch each morning and varies her menu offerings daily. Delicious coffee as well. Jennifer was accommodating to my dietary restrictions - just ask. Breakfast may be served outside on the back patio or inside in the living/dining rooms. ||Other positives:|Spotless room. |Very comfortable bed. |In-room controlled air conditioning. |Gorgeous bathroom with upscale soaps and lotions. |Relaxing screened-in porch. |Wine and snacks provided in the afternoon. |Plenty of safe parking behind inn. |Convenient- 5 minutes off highway and within walking distance to a few restaurants. ||The property facilitates interaction with other guest (if you initiate conversation). We met families from Amsterdam, London and Eastern PA and had some wonderful breakfast and evening conversations. ||Of note for travelers with mobility issues - most of the rooms are up a flight of stairs and there is no elevator (to be expected- this is a historic captain’s house from the 1800’s). Request the downstairs room if you can’t do stairs. ||I would highly recommend this Inn!

We had an INCREDIBLE stay at Village Inn. The Innkeeper Jennifer treated us like family and made us feel truly at home. She has a gift and a passion for hospitality that shows with every guest interaction. Everyone who stays here needs to experience her unbelievable breakfasts. Village Inn gives you the modern amenities of a hotel in a historic home. We will never stay anywhere else! Highly recommend here for anyone staying in this area

Yelp
This place has everything you hope for in a B&B - kind owners, lovely decor, wonderful breakfasts, comfortable beds, beautiful outdoor space, clean, and great attention to detail. And to top it off, they cater to guests with celiac. I wish we would have found this place long ago! Robin and Claire deserve all the positive reviews that people have posted here.

Yelp
This B & B was such a gem. We were greeted in the driveway by the owner Robin who was a perfect host. The history of this home is authentic and charming. My favorite was the outside garden where you have a delicious homemade served breakfast. We were surrounded by hydrangeas and the joy of visiting hummingbirds. Claire made a special French toast which was like a bread pudding for breakfast. Our room was very comfortable and included a king sized bed, tv and cozy side chairs. I've been going to Cape Cod for many years and now we have a new favorite spot in Yarmouth. The surrounding area is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you Robin and Claire for a fabulous stay. We will be back. Carol and Damian

Yelp
One of the best bed & breakfast stays I have enjoyed. Claire and Robin go out of their way to please and be sure you have everything you need. The gourmet breakfast is simply divine! The house is comfortable, the rooms are clean, well decorated and have great comfortable beds and bedding! No complaints at all! Can't wait to return again!

Yelp
I could rave about the Village Inn all day! We came on a 12-day trip from California, and our stay here was the highlight of our trip. You feel spoiled here-breakfast has essentially 3 courses, and Claire is an amazing cook. She made a special breakfast each day for a daughter, while we enjoyed her daily offering. Mints and chocolates, wine and soda, beach accoutrements-they think of it all. We were in a back room (the Chatham) that was very quiet and beautifully renovated. Can't wait to return.

Yelp
I can't say enough wonderful things about The Village Inn. Robin and Claire (the innkeepers) keep this bed and breakfast in PERFECT order. ******************* Service: Best in class. Personable, knowledgeable, anticipating every need. Robin and Claire absolutely NAIL IT on the service and they are so welcoming and friendly on top of it all. Decor: Beautiful, simple, comfortable-classic decor. They really put a lot of thought behind every detail throughout the properly. And with the lush green surroundings, which are beautifully manicured, you'll feel relaxed every minute you're there. Accommodations: Almost everything is newly renovated. The Inn has a Cape vibe with modern accents scattered throughout. Rooms, especially master suites, are spacious and ULTRA clean. Decor is classic and cozy. Beds are plush and usher you into blissful sleep. Location: Perfectly situated in Yarmouth Port, it's quiet and peaceful and just a few minutes from beaches, local restaurants and other quaint things to do. Breakfast: It is unreal! Fresh made scones and muffins, fresh fruit with mint infused syrup, french toast with a brûlée'd top, sausage frittata (to name a few of the delicious foods we ate during our stay)! Claire is a 5 star chef! She won over my stomach! Pro-tips: They offer beach chairs and towels for use during the day. There is a large porch, with complementary wines and water, so you can relax there or in the inner sitting areas. There's also wi-fi. ******************* I can't speak highly enough about The Village Inn, but, more importantly, about how wonderful Robin and Claire are as hosts. Do not miss the opportunity to stay at this incredible bed and breakfast!

Yelp
Bed and Breakfasts are like human bodies; each one is different and little eccentricities can be either adorable or a complete turnoff. Attending a wedding in Cape Cod seemed like the perfect opportunity to have a girls' getaway in a relaxing environment. We chose the Village Inn because they had a variety of bed options. While I love my traveling companions, I also love my own bed. Upon arrival we were taken into a beautiful spacious room with a king bed and a twin bed, and it's own bathroom. Fresh air flowed through the open windows, and you could hear the leaves in the trees. Charming decor and spotlessly clean. Amazing closet space Lovely common spaces with comfortable couches, screened in porch with wicker furniture and separate breakfast tables. Charming amenities such as chocolates in little dishes and sodas/beer/wine/bottled water in fridge on the porch Soft linens, comfy pillows and top grade fluffy freshly scented towels Maid service in room during the stay Mouth watering breakfasts: homemade muffins, the best French Toast I've ever had, and great coffee. The hosts Robin and Claire were super nice and helpful.

Yelp
Visited The Village Inn again, on holiday. As lovely and hospitable as ever. Delicious breakfasts. Close to everything mid-Cape and down-Cape. We took an easy side trip to Eastham. There are nice restaurants within walking distance, and more within a 20 minute drive. There are nice roads nearby to run to the marsh with great views, roads with hardly any traffic. Innkeepers Robin and Claire are helpful, with directions, stories, history, recommendations on restaurants. Guests are typically friendly, and many from Europe, so interesting exchanges and stories. Beautiful place. We will return.

Yelp
Just lovely! Classic, well-appointed, comfortable mid-Cape inn with stunning art work. Claire is a consummate hostess and her breakfasts exceeded our expectations. We will definitely come back.

Yelp
Great location, wonderful host, creative breakfast. Only wish it had a working fireplace on a freezing Cape Cod weekend!

Yelp
We had such a restful weekend at The Village Inn. Robin and Claire are excellent hosts. They are warm and welcoming and so eager to help in any way they can. Our room was comfortable and our bed was luxurious. And the breakfast! Wow! We are looking forward to coming back again soon.

Yelp
I've never been to a B&B in Cape Cod, but have stayed at several in the past. I was pleasantly surprised at the Village Inn's mesh of B&B subdued Cape Cod beauty and hotel convenience. Our shower was modern and fantastic with overhead shower head. There were special black washcloths labeled for makeup, which, as a person who hates to leave stained linens because of my makeup, felt this was an absolutely brilliant addition. My only problem, and this not unusual for me, is that the main lit vanity mirror was too high for me to see into (I'm fairly short-5'). Fortunately there was a full length mirror to the left that still had reasonably good lighting. The bed was thankfully loaded with comfortable down (down type) pillows and the softest sheets. Overhead sconce lights were convenient. I had to giggle at my modern knowledge of doors. The room door had an original (?) latch style handle and it took a minute of Neanderthal-like experimentation to figure it out. ;D I did and it is a really nice touch to still have them for the rooms. I would and probably will stay here again. It was a lovely place to take a night away with my significant other.

Yelp
My family and I were in Massachusetts this past weekend for my cousin's wedding. Prior to our flight, my cousin happened to find and reserve this lovely inn for us. We couldn't be any more satisfied with our stay and the services. Robin, the innkeeper, was so courteous and helpful during our time at the inn. It was our first time in Massachusetts and he answered questions that we had in regards to dining and local attractions. Our rooms were cozy, clean, quiet, and I liked how the inn had a colonial, vintage-like atmosphere. Housekeeping is active and there are complimentary beverage refreshments out in the back lounge. Breakfast served at the inn was served fresh and wonderful as well. Guest parking is located at the back of the inn and there is plenty of space. I would highly recommend this inn to anyone who is looking for a comfortable place to stay in the Yarmouth Port area. I myself would definitely return if I was ever back in Yarmouth Port.

Yelp
We were visiting Cape Cod from Hawaii last week and we booked the 2 bedroom suite on the first floor. Our stay was amazing for several reasons... 1. Robyn, the owner, is so attentive and makes sure everything is to your liking. 2. The house is so cute. It's refurbished and decorated with excellent style. 3. The gourmet breakfast and enclosed back patio wine lounge is just what you need to take the edge off of traveling stress. Our 2 bedroom suite was quite large, probably about 500 sq ft. I believe our bedding was down, so that kept us Hawaii people nice and cozy! Our bathroom was huge. There is an old fashioned bathtub and also a large modern shower. (See pictures) There's plenty of guest parking behind the house and lots of common areas for people to relax with their travel partners or to meet other guests. I thought our room was reasonably priced too. Overall this was probably the best hotel we stayed in during our New England tour, and we stayed at a couple of Lark hotels, so that's saying something!

Yelp
We stayed here for 2 nights this week and I can not express how wonderful this bed and breakfast is. Robin is the most lovely, warm, accommodating host. The building is gorgeous and clean with so much character and history. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast (fresh fruit, warm muffins and french toast) was delicious. I highly recommend this lovely inn.

Yelp
Stayed here for two nights and had a fantastic experience. Good location off the main road, easy distance to other parts of the Cape. The house was cozy with lots of historic charm and thoughtful touches (loved the chocolates in the sitting room), but also clean and convenient. Beautiful garden in the back. Robin was wonderful--informative and friendly without being intrusive, and served up delicious full breakfasts.

Yelp
This place was on point!!! In every single way! Food, service, and comfort. Robin was a such a gracious host for the 4 of us staying there. He was friendly and attentive. The food was incredible. We came back home from vacation, gaining weight--that's a compliment! The room was so clean, bathroom was updated, beds were comfortable. Next time we make it to the Cape, we will for sure stay here. This was our favorite place we have stayed on the Cape over our 4 trips there!!!

Yelp
Stayed two nights here during high season in a room with a king and twin for our family of 3. We have stayed at a number of b&b's along the east coast, and the Village Inn ranks as the best experience we have had so far. You can tell that Claire and Robin have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable. On more than one occasion, I noticed the fine details around the home and room that Claire and Robin had considered to ensure a guest's needs were being met. The home, room, and decor are beautiful. Unlike other family friendly b&b's, they have kept the home tastefully decorated with a style of the historic home. The pillows and bed linens are top quality, and mattresses are perfect for a good night's sleep. High end soaps and shampoos. Despite a full house, it was quiet, allowed for privacy, and never felt crowded which had been a concern given the pandemic. I felt completely safe and the b&b was clean. Soft drinks, water, and beers are chilled and ready in a fridge in the main area. While we are not drinkers, red wine was available in the evening for guests. That said , I was not shy to partake in the Starbucks coffee and tea from the Keurig as well as the Dove chocolates in the living room for a late night sweet. The breakfasts in the morning were a culinary event with 3 courses. The first morning, we had fruit with ginger syrup, scones, and frittatas. The second morning, we had yogurt parfaits, muffins, and spicy banana pancakes. Coffee served in carafes and juices were also available. Compliments to the chef! If you are a foodie, you will love staying here. Following our stay, I have two regrets - 1. Not having had more time here to lounge in the hammock in the backyard with the book I purchased from Parnassus Books (don't forget to check them out, just down the street) and 2. Writing this glowing review as I worry it will be even harder to book the Village Inn upon our return. Thank you Claire and Robin for offering an upscale family friendly b&b done with perfection. We absolutely will be back, and next time, for a longer stay.

Yelp
Best Inn. We Love Robin and Claire! It was our pleasure to meet them. They were so helpful to us when we stayed there, as we were looking for a home on the Cape. The room was lovely and those breakfasts were delicious. We will go again!

Yelp
We visited the Village Inn for a rainy weekend in Cape Cod with two of our teenage children. The Inn was built by a sea captain for his family in late 1700's. He built subsequent additions to it as his wealth increased. The house is charming but refurbished with modern amenities. One of the cool items brought in by the current owners is a tin bath tub. Those in our family who used it said it is the most comfortable bath they've taken. The beds, pillows and quilts were outstandingly comfortable. Brother and sister team Robin and Claire, the owners, keep everything clean, warm and comfortable. Robin cooked us a really nice breakfast for the two days we stayed. Our picky teenagers devoured what he made. Robin also made himself available when ever we had questions about where to go, eat, travel times, etc. He never steered us wrong and, when we asked, shared with us some of his own stories in his characteristically humorous way. The rates are very reasonable. We've already started talking about when we can come back for other Cape Cod weekends.

Yelp
I do not normally write reviews, but as a new business I want to spread the word. Had a wonderful stay with my girlfriend at Robin and Claire's Inn for two nights. First, the service was impeccable as we started our first night with two complementary glasses of GOOD wine and woke up to a 3-course breakfast (ex. French toast, quiche, mixed fruit, scones, etc.) with coffee and any juice available. Second, the beds were extremely comfortable (king size) and the European style showers were very unique. Complimentary shampoo, bottled water, internet, cable were appreciated. Overall, I will certainly stay next time I venture onto the cape. It is a romantic weekend getaway with the authentic bread & breakfast feeling.

Lisa C.

Yelp
We decided to stay mid-Cape and chose this lovely historic inn because it's close to everything we enjoy on the Cape: great beaches, huge selection of gift/antique/consignment shops, and delicious restaurants that even the most discerning foodie would enjoy! Upon entering the inn, we were warmly greeted by the inn's owner, who helped us with our bags to our room on the second floor and told us about the section of the inn where we'd be staying (we stayed in the Chatham room, which has a king bed and a twin, with a luxurious shower and updated bathroom). The room was lovely and gets extra points for providing TWO comfortable chairs for reading/lounging, a VERY quiet A/C unit in the wall, and a large TV with PLENTY of channels. My husband wanted to nap after our checkin, so I decided to sit on the inn's back porch and read. The seating on the porch is VERY comfortable, plus I enjoyed watching the birds at the feeder and enjoying the luscious landscape of lawn and flower beds. We had a peaceful night relaxing in our room, then headed downstairs for breakfast the next morning, where our host served delicious fresh fruit with a mint infusion, incredible blueberry muffins, and a fabulous fresh toast baked with almonds, along with juice, coffee, and tea. What a treat! We left the inn right before the 11AM checkout because we wanted to enjoy our stay as long as possible! And OF COURSE we'll be back! P.S. I just noticed one reviewer report that there's "free wine and beer" on offer to guests, but unfortunately the host never mentioned it so perhaps that perk is no longer available.

Yelp
My husband and I were celebrating our 30 year anniversary in New England. We found this little gem online and are so glad we did. It was our first experience with a Bed and Breakfast and we really enjoyed it. Robin greeted us and made us feel at home. Our room was very clean and inviting. It was fun to learn the history of the inn as well as the city. Thank you.

Yelp
The Village Inn was a delightful place to stay. The inn was very nicely decorated. The rooms comfortable and clean. The bathrooms very clean and nice. The breakfast gourmet and delicious. When in Cape Cod, stay here. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
This is a lovely place to stay. Each breakfast was better than the last and the owner and help were always attentive and helpful. The building is beautiful and comfortable. I would easily come back and recommend to friends and family.

Dina S.

Yelp
Great room, very clean, tasty breakfast, knowledgeable pleasant hosts. We are pleased and satisfied. Quiet relaxing property. We stayed for one night but it felt like a whole vacation. Thank you, guys!

Kayla C.

Yelp
I cant say enough about this bed and breakfast! Wonderful place to stay. The house was gorgeous and incredibly clean. Decor was on point. The rooms were very large with updated bathrooms. The king beds were very comfortable! Robin was beyond accommodating with our food allergies and restrictions. Best gluten free french toast I've ever had. He walked us through a map of places to go, things to do and see, and best restaurants in the area as well as the best areas to visit in cape cod. Will absolutely be returning. Highly recommended.

P C.

Yelp
My husband and I had a wonderful stay here recently. Our trip was not the average vacation getaway as we were on the cape for a memorial service. Both Robin and Claire were so helpful in every way. From accommodating us with an early check in so we could change for our event to calculating the travel time needed to our next destination. They both went out of their way to assist us in whatever way they could. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer to fully enjoy this beautiful inn. It has both character and style. We appreciate the lengths that Robin and Claire have gone to in protecting this historic gem of a building while tastefully adding modern amenities for the comfort of their guests. The bedrooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Their attention to detail shows. We look forward to returning for a longer stay in the future!

Susan C.

Yelp
I stayed at The Village Inn unexpectedly for three nights. From the moment I called looking for a place to stay that night, I was welcomed by the inn keepers. My room was lovely, quite large with a king bed and two comfortable chairs. I needed to leave early each morning. The hosts were so thoughtful and kind to have coffee and a breakfast to-go bag ready just for me. Muffins were warm and very good.. Absolutely wonderful. Highly recommended for the inn itself and the wonderful hospitality. Susan C

Karen F.

Yelp
The home is beautiful, very conveniently located to great restaurants and the Edward Gorey house (a must see!) Robin is an absolutely wonderful host!! Highly recommend!

Kelli S.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about Karen Hickey and her bed and breakfast. The house and grounds are beautiful, the rooms neat and clean, the breakfast fresh, hot and made to order. The hosts are exceptionally accommodating, allowing us to borrow beach equipment and to chill wine in their fridge. The location is great for those looking for a quaint Cape Cod town: Yarmouth has antique and book shops, good dining and beautiful beaches all within a 5 mile radius. Plus, Hyannis is only 4 miles away if you want to do the touristy or night life thing. We will be staying here every time we visit the Cape.
