We booked this place with the knowledge that there is only s dirt road available yo access the property. We were assured that every type of car could access the property (in dry conditions!) but were shocked to see the state of the road and the fact that we would have to navigate it at least twice a day and most likely damage our rental car.|The property does state ob their website that you need an SUV or 4x4, however booking.com made no mention of this, and renting such a vehicle is not that easy on the island, and would have led to extra costs.|For this reason we asked to cancel and were refused without compromise. |This has lead us to this review and to inform other would be patrons of this establishment.

Uninhabitable! Booked for 5 night but could only stay 4 hours. I was eaten alive by mosquitos.i had over 100 bites on each leg. The cabins were open to environment with nothing the keep the mosquitos in or out. No screens on the windows, open gaps at the roofline and vast amount of open sections in the bathroom. If they ever fix that problem, this would be an outstanding place.

What a wonderful place to stay! Amazing location in the caldera surrounded by towering hills and beautiful countryside yet an easy walk down to the sea. |A small number of lodges providing very comfortable accommodations along with swimming pool and shared patio/dining area but with own decking and kitchen if you wish to be alone. Best of all are the hosts, Megan and Julien (apologies if spelling incorrect). Such a wonderful young couple. Very attentive, so easy to talk to, extremely helpful in every way I. Losing advice on where to go, what to do, local trails etc. I had such a wonderful time with them I stayed 6 nights rather than initial 2 I booked in for. |Amazing hosts. Beautiful place away from it all! I cannot recommend highly enough.

This is a rustic bungalow accommodation located in an incredible jungle valley. Julien is a gracious host, happy to share his knowledge of the local area - trails, beaches, excursions, etc. Recommended for those looking for an authentic and nature focused adventure. Vehicle recommended as the property is set back from the main road a couple of kilometers. Dirt road is rough in places (like many on the island), just go slow and you should be fine with any passenger car.

Traveled with 2 families of 4 (both with pre-teens/teens), each having our own bungalow. Julien and Megan were wonderful. We're Amercian, non-French-speakers (we do speak decent Spanish, don't judge) and that was not an issue. Their English was excellent and they were wonderful to talk with about Moorea. Very interesting, kind people and super enthusiastic to help our group enjoy our time on the island. We would definitely come back. It's not a luxury resort, but is priced accordingly, so don't expect it to be. The cabins were clean, really interesting, and the grounds and neighborhood were an amazing paradise. We made it in with our tiny rental cars fine, just have some patience and you'll find it.

We had the best time at Village Temanoha! Julien and Megan went above and beyond to make us feel at home (and made the most delicious breakfasts!) and the setting was superb, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. We loved the pool and the private cabin, which had a really delightful plant-filled bathroom. We also appreciated learning about local flora and fauna from Julien. We will definitely stay again next time we are in Moorea!

Village Temanoha has a fantastic Moorea location, short distance from great restaurants, grocery store, hiking and biking.||We were on a long hike and ran out of water with 8 miles left (hot and 100% humidity) - Julien and Morgan took us in with no hesitations! They were so nice and offered a ton of island advice during our short stop.||Thank you for your hospitality - we can't wait to come back!

The bungalow was very clean and well equipped. In particular the bathroom (including a shower with warm water) was outstanding. The view of the mountains is stunning and the area is very quiet at night. The access is a bit of a challenge; the road is full of potholes and at times we worried whether our small rental car would make it without damage. At the end everything went well and we were able to drive even after rain. Overall the stay was excellent. Given the very reasonable price, this is an outstanding value for Moorea.
