While everything is clean, there's little else to highlight. The beach area is equipped with basic plastic furniture, which detracts from the overall experience. Staff are polite and courteous, which is a plus. The public facilities available for use on the last day—such as showers and toilets—are in poor condition and feel neglected.||Fortunately, the resort is right next to the Intercontinental Hotel, where you can enjoy breakfast, dinner, or simply relax by the pool in a more refined setting..

This review is long overdue. My husband and I stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary in 2021. First off, if you're into being pampered and are high maintenance, this is not the place for you. If you want to experience the local culture, be secluded and don't require extravagance, this is truly the experience. Also, for those who cut the place down because of an occasional gecko in the room, well then go to the 4 Seasons. They are harmless and stay out of your way. Very cute I may add to wake up and see a little pair of eyes looking down at you. Yes, there is sand on the floor, it gets in your room. You're at a BEACH!. Yes, it can sometimes get in your bed but hey, this is beach life. Wipe it off and enjoy yourself. No AC but every bungalow has a ceiling fan and there is always great breeze flowing. AC not needed, go for a swim. We arrived late but our transportation was waiting for us. Upon arrival Christine was an enormous help, pointing out all the amenities around the village. Grocery store right across the street (be sure to by your booze before noon on Saturday because from what I remember they don't open or sell liquor on Sundays). Terrific souvenir shop across the street with decent prices. Ditch the Lucky House next door. Arrogant owner who looks down on tourists, stairs at women and has a harem of women working their butts off to wait tables while he scratches his big behind standing around. Mediocre food to say the least. Go to the Bora Bora Beach Club just a few steps further down the road toward Matira Beach. A much better choice. Terrific food and atmosphere. Back to Village T. We upgraded to the bungalow on the beach front. This was right after Covid lockdown so the place was virtually empty. The room was small but it had everything we needed. Big terrace, plus, a little kitchen off to the side with a fridge, microwave etc. For $150 a night this was just fine. Who spends the days in their room anyway? Christophe, although some have said he is unwelcoming, is just doing his job and just very straight forward. Most tourists I get annoyed with too, but he was great. Set us up with all our excursions. A day on the lagoon for ray swimming, shark swimming and a fabulous lunch on a remote motu, all while being serenaded by the tour guide and is Ukulele. Truly an amazing experience and I highly recommend it. Wonderful, picked us up right at the private beach at Village T. Christophe hooked us up with bike and kayak rentals, all for a very decent price. I have to say our 8 day stay at Village Temanuata was amazing. We even had locals singing and playing guitar on the beach (I think it was a holiday or something because they were singing to their mothers) Mother's Day maybe, was simply divine. We read, listened to the waves, drank wine and enjoyed these beautiful voices singing old Polynesian songs. Private beach, small but how much sand does a person need. Complimentary beach chairs and snorkel gear provided by Christophe. He was great! If you want to experience Polynesian culture and don't need the high end experience, you can stay here for days for the price of one night in one of those over water bungalows. Just one thing to be on the lookout thought. Don't leave expensive board shorts drying on the patio at night. I think there are some local kids who go along the beach front looking for a fast grab. My husband had his brand new Quicksilver board shorts stolen. Just be smart as you would in any foreign country. That was the only thing that happened that wasn't so pleasant. Good thing he brought another pair. All in all Village T was a terrific experience and the Tahitian people are very hospitable and welcoming. I hope this helps.

Worth saying that when I booked this I meant to be out diving all day but the weather was bad so I ended up spending more time than planned in hotel. The good points are that the room was spacious, the private beach lovely, it is comparatively cheap and the people seem friendly. The bad points are that the room is tired, things like towels threadbare and generally it needs a total refurbishment. It is also exceptionally noisy on Saturday with music starting around 04.30 and continuing to about 02.00 Sunday

I am embarrassed to write this review … $340 a night is not worth it… even for the NY! Owners were helpful and nice… also after we could not sleep coz the mattress was too hard so were pillows, They changed our pillows - nice of them. Room was small, extremely worn out, no AC! Bathroom was extremely tiny with a twisted toilette. Room had a kitchen, outside kitchen. Door was old and hard to lock and unlock… No amenities on the property even though location was great! The room was facing the beach which was amazing but it was hard to sleep due to light and people outside. People were drinking on the beach all night … Beach was nice but facing some ugly boat ramp. If you don’t book in advance to get something nicer, I suggest to stay a guesthouse and just drive to a good hotel to enjoy amenities. We were kicked out of the room at 10 am on the 1st of January to accommodate next guest to move in right away. Sorry could not take pics when the room was tidy had to rush and take them when we were asked to leave and accommodate to cleaners to come in.

Excellent, relaxed beachfront location near of the public Matira Beach with a small private strip of sandy beach and some corals with colourful fish just 10 m of snorkelling away. Supermarket across the road where fresh croissants and baguette can be bought early morning. Good restaurant (Lucky House) just next door, open all day and with excellent seafood and good cocktails at reasonable happy hour prices.|Big bungalows, I was very lucky to be upgraded to one with a lovely seaview to watch the wonderful sunrises. Everything you need for selfcatering is in the kitchen (I very much prefer to make my own coffee with a croissant on my terrace, without queues at a buffet). Washing machine is available on the property.|Very friendly and helpful staff, speaking French and English and even a bit of German. I very much appreciated their non-intrusive way.|WiFi is fast and included in the room price.|The garden is a small tropical paradise with beautiful flowers. But this comes with sandy paths, as there are no paved paths on the property. So sand and ants are everywhere, which did not bother me as I live in the tropics myself and this is only natural. I just used the broom available on the terrace to clean the sand and insects in the morning and evening (staff ask every morning if guests want to have their rooms made and/ or towels changed.|Bicyles available for hiring (it is only 8 km to Vaitape with its shops) and reception can book a wide range of activities and excursions and is happy to help with advice.|However, there is no TV (but good WiFi) and no AC (but strong fans) in the bungalows and they are rustic. This is not a 5-star hotel (Intercontinental is next door). For me it was the perfect, laid back place to stay (I stayed for 6 days/ nights) and I would love to go back.

This place is a gem! Absolutely loved staying there! Location is the best, you have souvenir shop with best prices across the street, grocery shop right across as well, the place has incredible, intimate private beach with beautiful views and if that is not enough, thete is public Matira beach 5 min down the road. village also has an awesome restaurant next door, and few other eateries within few min walk. Room was cosy, bed was comfortable, with adjacent bathroom and shower. Bungalow also has a veranda.

We had a great 5-day stay at hotel temanuata.||||Pros- very friendly, kind, and helpful staff. Christine was especially kind and helpful. Unbeatable location- right on the beach and walking distance to restaurants, rental cars, and other local beaches. The garden path was beautiful and lush. Fresh beach towels every day. Cute cat, Bada Bada. Very Accommodating with setting up with taxis and storing our luggage after check out and allowing us to use facilities after check out. ||||Cons- When we arrived, we found various clumps of hair, termite and gecko fecal droppings, and ants on the counters and floors. Lots of bugs and Geckos, but it is a bungalow so that was expected. For the price, while cheaper than surrounding resorts, we still would’ve liked to have the room cleaned a little better than just a floor sweep and clean towels each day.

We upgraded to the front bungalow overlooking the bay which is really nice, and looking at the other bungalows we made the right choice. However, the bungalow itself is very dated/basic. The mattress for the bed is really uncomfortable, and the room is small and cramped. The toilet in the bathroom is also cramped so there's not much room for maneuver. Generally the room and bungalow inside needs sprousing up somewhat, however the outside kitchen adjoining the outside area overlooking the bay is great. Saying this, there is a plastic screen protecting the bungalow from the wind which is rather unclear and dirty, so you cannot see too much of the view from the main seating area. The beach in front of the property is amazing and the snorkeling is fantastic! Would have expected a bit more for the money we have spent.
