"A steep drive up a winding road and you're gazing out at the best view in Lipah, where none have managed to build anything quite as special as Villas Bukit Lipah. Painstakingly crafted over two years, this cluster of bamboo structures is the brainchild of owner Alena, who fell in love with the island some 15 years ago. Ensconced in stunning gardens of hibiscus, wild orchids, palm trees and banana plants, these five spacious villas, each with their own turquoise pool and 180 degree views, are well worth the journey. Everything we needed seemed to be just a WhatsApp away, from placing orders to making plans, and service is fast and friendly. If you do want to wander outside your villa, there's an on-site restaurant in the communal hub with a dining area and a small pool on the ground floor and a yoga shala and massage room above. And if you're looking to wander further afield, Lipah Beach is just a 10-minute drive away. The lesser visited Amed region along the northeast coast feels like the Bali of yesteryear: quieter, less developed, laid-back, wonderfully rugged, and full of jungle. But there's also plenty to explore nearby, from volcanic black sand beaches and charming fishing villages with cool cafes to some of the island’s best snorkelling and diving in coral reefs full of rainbow-coloured fish. This is somewhere for friends, couples and families to hit the reset button, read a book or five, and reconnect with nature. My stay at Villas Bukit Lipah exceeded all my expectations — I couldn’t have dreamed of a better place for my time in Amed. I absolutely fell in love with this place.||Everything about it is just perfect: the villas are beautifully designed and thoughtfully laid out, with stylish decor and great comfort. The pool and the view from the villa are absolutely stunning.||The kindness of the staff is truly heartwarming, and their attention to detail is so appreciated. The on-site restaurant is also excellent — the meals are well-balanced, fresh, and delicious.||We also tried the massages during our stay, and they were fantastic.||A very special thank you to Alena for her advice, kindness, and genuine care — it really made our stay even more memorable.||I 100% recommend this place, and I already can’t wait to come back!

This accommodation surpassed our expectations, the most beautiful villa with sea views and beautiful gardens.|The staff and facilities were outstanding , Alena our host went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember. | Not only did our stay include free transportation to the local town, beach, and shops, but it included free laundry service and a WhatsApp messaging service for anything you needed. |We took a boat ride for around an hour, which was arranged by Alena and saw turtles just off the beach. |Food was cooked fresh to order and always delicious, you could order food to the villa or eat in the beautiful restaurant. ||

HIDDEN GEM!!! PERFECT LITTLE GETAWAY As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the lovely staff who showed us to our villa. It was my girlfriend’s birthday and they made a nice welcome message on the bed for her. The villa was spotless and the pool was clean. You have amazing views of the ocean and lush greenery from all of the villas. They gave us the business WhatsApp so if we needed anything at any point, all we had to do was send them a message. We asked about having spa treatments at the villa and about pick and drop off service to get to the bottom of the hill. All of which they could do without any hassle. They have a vegan restaurant attached to the villas as well, the food was very reasonable priced and all the dishes we tried were delicious and tasted very fresh. They do have a non vegetarian menu as well to accommodate all guests needs. They will even bring the meals to your villa if you don’t want to eat at the restaurant. We chose this option most of the time so we could enjoy the ocean views whilst eating our food. I need to give a big shoutout to the staff because every single one of them were very polite and very professional at all times. The only thing I would say to anyone coming to stay here is the road is currently being worked on, so it’s not an easy drive up. Make sure you’re a confident rider if you’re coming by bike, if not then message the villa team and they will arrange for you to get picked up.

This accommodation is an absolute must if you’re travelling to Amed and Bali. There are five villas in total and even though they’re close to one another, it still feels like you have a lot of privacy. The views of the ocean and surrounding garden are just beautiful and we loved spending time around the pool and restaurant area. The food is delicious and the staff were so accommodating to our dietary requirements (vegan and gluten free). Compared to the main area of Amed, this location is so quiet - we barely heard any vehicles the two days we were here. We loved our time at Villas Bukit and can’t recommend it enough!

The restaurant/cafe are doing delicious, quality food that tastes and looks like it’s made with love. Worth the wild ride up the hill to visit - stay and swim while you dine. It’s a beautiful spot! Venture up on a scooter for an adventure. Cafe doing seasonal, local healthy and delicious food, the mahi mahi was cooked perfectly, the coconut caramel pancakes, delicious! Good coffee and friendly staff. Get up there for a visit!
