We stayed at the resort at the end of May into early June and left with somewhat mixed feelings about the overall experience.||To start with the positives: the beach is beautiful, and that alone is worth mentioning. A few team members—like the bartender and our room attendant—were genuinely kind and attentive, and we truly appreciated their efforts. There was boat house with some activities and equipment included, in case you fancy that. Room was fine though can use some TLC, had kettle, TV etc, we understand we cant expect 5 star room if we don't pay that price.||However, we felt that service consistency was lacking at times. While some staff were professional and welcoming, others appeared to lack training or motivation. Smiling costs nothing—be it in a 3-star or 5-star resort—and unfortunately, that warmth wasn’t always there.||We had certain expectations, but found the all-inclusive offering fell short, particularly in terms of food quality, and realised this was mentioned in some of the guests reviews (we had better read those more carefully) . We saw that there were nearby local food places and wished we were just on breakfast or half board so to go there during day as was short so we suggest you do that if planning to book here . To be clear, we’ve visited Mauritius several times (3 to be precise) so are not first timers , and this was not in line with the value or service level we’ve experienced elsewhere for the price paid. ||What was concerning also was the resort’s attitude toward stray animals. While there weren’t many, a few gentle and friendly dogs stayed near the hotel grounds or on the beach, just slept under sunbeds . All the guests we saw were perfectly fine with their presence—they simply lay peacefully in the sand. Yet, it was clear from staff reactions that the dogs were not welcome and were to be chased away or left unfed. This was sad and left bitter taste . Yes we know that not all guest like them but those guests should inform themselves of stray animals situation prior to travelling to destination. If you don't want to see strays dogs , do not travel to India, Thailand, Sri , Mauritius and stay in Europe, at least that is our travel experience. In contrast, we’ve stayed at Attitude Resorts 2 times , where the approach to stray animals is far more ethical and compassionate (and nice value for money overall) — they had person taking care of feeding on specific spot and had info on adoption, something we truly valued . Hotels here need to make mental shift and understand dogs are family members in Europe and many of us get disturbed by lack of compassion. Unfortunately we could not find Attitude on Weast Coast, which led us to try this resort instead.||For all the reasons above, all inclusive value and service ups and down, we will not be returning to this property. We’ll likely return to Attitude as will go back to Mauritius or explore another resort that offers what we expect. We do hope resort Management takes our input positively , as one can always improve, if reading this. But we noticed unlike most of other hotels concerned about guest opinion who reply to reviews , there is no answer from them at all, so this also is another factor that even after departure puts as off .
