We had a lovely relaxed time here. The location of this hotel is perfect, it’s about a 10 min walk into town and the private beach is just about the best stretch of beach we saw on the island as far as we could tell. The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful. We didn’t chose the all inclusive as we prefer to try the different restaurants available in the town, but the snacks and drinks at the hotel are actually very good value when compared to other local places.

We stayed 5 nights and our stay was incredible from start to finish! Prime location and easy walk into town from the road or along the beach. The staff were super friendly and always willing to assist. The grounds and property are amazing and is also ecologically friendly. The private access to the beach with sun lounges and daybeds with shade available was fabulous. The pools and restaurants were also fantastic. Highly recommend staying here :)

We’re currently staying here for our Christmas holiday, and for such a very expensive hotel, the experience has been disappointing. The reception staff has been unfriendly, and communication has been difficult due to the language barrier. We also requested two rooms next to each other for our family, but were told last‑minute that it wasn’t possible. Once we checked in, we found several issues with our room: 1.) the safe didn’t work 2.) no luggage rack 3.) a noisy AC unit that kept shutting off 4.) not enough towels and no washcloths 5.) 400‑peso deposit required for beach towels 6.) Bathroom was not clean Breakfast has been below expectations, and on 12/23 we were the first to arrive for lunch but the last to be served, and the food arrived cold and undercooked. We’re only on day three and hope the rest of our stay improves

A beautiful hotel and delicious food. Many thanks to Louis, who works at the beach beds. He is an excellent service employee, even though he does everything on his own. He keeps smiling and remains friendly. Also many thanks to all the staff at Tamashi, we enjoyed delicious sushi and the service is excellent. Mario Muchas gracias

The service and location is amazing. I loved it here. I rated 4 stars because there are improvements needed for five stars. The pool is too deep. I am am 5'2" and could not hold my infant daughter in the pool without lifting her the entire time. The water was to my neck so it was hard to enjoy as a family. The shallow roof top pool has zero shade so I couldn't let my child play there either. They need to install umbrellas in the tables there. Last but not least, they need to treat for mosquitoes. The restaurant is open to nature which is lovely throughout the day but dinners were brutal with mosquitoes. Even with spray we were getting bites. I would recommend checking out the town for dinners and enjoy the resort throughout the day. The beach was amazing, the staff is amazing, cleanliness was also great. The beds were very comfortable as well. I would return and just plan dinners off the resort unless they address the mosquito issue at night.

We had a great stay. Our room was nice and the whole hotel had a tropical touch. The breakfast was also really good and offered a good choice. The food and drinks that we ordered at the pool also had a good quality. I also liked that the waiters are not as pushy with tips as in other resorts that we visited in Mexico.

We just pass our Thanksgiving in this hotel. |Place is super clean, in front of an amazing beach, 10min walk from the center and an easy walking access in direction of punto de musquito! |Massage was also super good ! |To summarize, a really great choice for a good price / quality !

We have just returned from spending 10 nights at these amazing hotel.|As a person that travels probably 6 times a year, I have a good knowledge of what’s good and what’s bad, and as for this hotel it’s all good !!!|After traveling for 19yrs to arriving here was a pleasure, the reception staff greeted us with a warm smile and a cold refreshing drink. Check in was quick and easy (if you’re staying all inclusive, I would recommend the premium option). The staff explained everything and we were soon in our room.|We had the junior suit superior, which was a good size with a huge bed and large balcony. Really nice !!!|During our stay all the staff were great, friendly and very helpful, with nothing being to much problem.|The food was great, with a good choice (some nights we did eat out). I must say the bbq night was great !!!|The maintenance staff seemed to be constantly touching bits up to keep the place looking fresh and tidy.|The pool area was always clean with regular visits from the local iguanas and raccoons lol. |The beach area which belongs to hotel was great, with staff to serve drinks and food all day.|We were generally really sad to leave this place as we wanted to stay longer.|I can honestly recommend this place.|It’s close to town (10min walk), so easy to enjoy the night life but far enough away to be quiet at night.|If staying on the island this is a great choice for hotel.

Yelp
Stayed for 10 nights !!! Amazing stay ... food, room, pools (rooftop pool also) and the location is perfect. Can go anywhere or foot or a short taxi ride ! The staff was absolutely delightful. We took the basic all inclusive and it did not disappoint, if we wanted something off the a lacarte items not in our package you just pay the difference which i loved. The food was delicious at all meals and snacks. Dont miss the BBQ night ! Was amazing ! No hassle, quiet and beautifully kept groups. We had a private pool and we loved that !!! We will be going back for sure !!!

Yelp
First time at Holbox! Got this place by recommendation from another fully booked resort. Greeted with a refreshing cucumber drink Location: perfect! Off the beach Staff: helpful and friendly Price: on the high end Food: Snack/ restaurant was great. We mainly used them off the beach service. Daniel was fantastic, helpful, friendly and fast. We also tried the breakfast Buffett and was average, they have lots of options, such as fruit, cereal, bread, omelet and more. Did not get to try sushi but looked good. Room: is kept clean and they do cleaning after each day. Private pool, is not so private in the way that rooms upstairs can see you. Rooms are pretty close to each other. Not sure if it's because we had room near restaurant but noise was always there. At night if there was a wedding we can hear and in the morning by 6:30 you can hear the set up of the breakfast etc... Overall I would go here again just will get another room no so close to restaurant. Family: kid friendly, pools are like toddler size, but also have the bigger share pool available. Side note: not all guest have all amenities, such as bike use, all inclusive does not mean all food.( recommend. Calling as not all drinks/food are included) there is 2 options of all included.

Yelp
This place is not like it's advertised!! If you are expecting a luxury experience, look elsewhere. We have only been here a few hours. My boyfriend upgraded for the private pool and beach view. Absolutely no beach view and the "private pool" is dirty and not worth it at all. Additionally, while the rooms are clean, they are exceptionally small and the bathroom looks like there could be creatures that crawl out of it. Lastly, whatever you do, don't upgrade for the all inclusive. It IS NOT. It doesn't include one of two restaurants on the resort, and the one that is does include has like 3 meal options. Additionally the "all-inclusive" doesn't include even half the alcohol. Total waste of time to upgrade to the private pool, beach experience, and all inclusive meal options. None of the things they tell you on the website or while checking in. Total false advertising. Would not recommend if you are wanting a luxury experience.

Yelp
We just spent 10 nights here with our 16 month old and couldn't have asked for a better place to call home. The grounds are exactly as pictured, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the water is hot (all day!), and the AC is icy cold. We got a junior suite facing the ocean with a private plunge pool, perfect for us when the baby was napping or when the other pools felt too busy for the baby. We opted for the All Inclusive option, our first experience doing so. We ended up having breakfast at the hotel most days, and going into town for lunch and/dinner, but certainly took advantage of the snacks menu when the baby was sleeping. I thought there could have been more rotating options at each buffet meal, but as this was our first experience with all inclusive, i'd say in general the selection of food was great (albeit repetitive) and very tasty. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly, even the housekeepers were accommodating and worked around our daughter's nap schedule. My only complaint, and even then it's not a complaint as much as a suggestion, would be that they could be a little more eco-friendly as it is a small island. Cloth, instead of paper napkins at meals would make a huge difference in waste. Also, tiny water bottles could be replaced by water coolers where you could refill your own bottles. There were jugs of water at meal times but during the day we took multiple single use bottles of water back to our room, would have loved if we could have refilled something larger. All in all, a great stay. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to return!

Yelp
Booked a. Room in October for a January date, we emailed to confirm room and bed count, they confirmed reservation.... When we arrive they give us a room with 1 bed and tell us they won't honor a bed request!! ..... unbelievable

Yelp
I was so excited to visit Isla Holbox for the first time with my boyfriend and another couple of close friends. We decided to really splurge and chose this hotel rather than an AirBnB. I would say we are avid travelers that have stayed in hotels, VRBOs, hostels, and AirBnB, and we usually aren't very picky. Based on the pictures and high price of the room, we thought we were going to visit a luxury hotel. Unfortunately, this was not the case: Pros: Clean rooms, quiet resort, nice pool, trustworthy staff (returned my lost iPhone to me.) Cons: Very average/tired food on repeat, rusty bikes that are expensive to rent, average room and bed, non-motivated staff, slow service. My frustration lies in that I feel like I was ripped off. Expensive rooms with the quality of a Days Inn; I wish I had spent my money elsewhere. Long live AirBnB! ;)

Yelp
My husband & I booked a junior suite with a private plunge pool for 5 days/4nights because of a wedding we were attending being held at the hotel. Probably half of the wedding guests stayed at this hotel and the other half at their sister hotel right next door. I booked online & communication was great with reservations & booking transportation from the airport with shuttle, ferry, & taxi/golf cart all together. When we arrived, check-in was quick & easy. They showed us to our room which was right next to the main reception building. The complex itself only has 52 rooms spread across 2 story buildings with thatched roofs and a central dining area surrounded by their pool with a swim up bar and another pool over the restaurant with a sushi restaurant & bar. Our first day there we hung out on the top pool, but all day long we were down on the main pool. The food was always buffet-style, so we only had breakfast here which came with the room rate or ordered poolside lunches. The food was delicious. Go early for breakfast bc they sometimes run out of things. Poolside lunches were also great & the waiters & bartenders were fabulous putting up with such a large group of heavy drinkers. The entire staff was gracious & accommodating especially during the wedding events. The pool area had plenty of loungers and even more as you step down onto the sandy front area towards the beach are plenty more and a good number of hammocks. There is a dirt/sand road between the hotel grounds and the beach. This is the road into town so plenty of golf carts, bikes, or people walking by. The beach is a quick walk away from the hotel. There is a great place to get a massage just across the road from the hotel. Our room was amazing! So comfy & cozy and kept very clean. There is a bar of hand soap & small bottle of lotion (glad I brought my own) and large dispensers in the shower for body soap, shampoo, & conditioner. The shower was large & can fit 2 easily. Water pressure was great & never ran out of hot water. The beds were also super comfy, closet storage was great, safe & mini fridge, & desk in the room. Our pool was amazing. I used it every day for a relaxing soak. There is also a 2 person hammock right on your cute private deck which my hubby & I fit in and we are fit, large men and it held! If we were ever to come back, I would definitely stay here again without any hesitation. It was PERFECTION!
