The location is amazing—just steps from the beach—and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. However, our experience was overshadowed by the behavior of the owner, who lives on the property. Unfortunately, she was extremely unwelcoming, rude, and, quite frankly, showed signs of racial bias toward us. We chose this place specifically because of the pool, as our niece and nephew love to swim. We also booked a room with a kitchen to make things easier for us and the kids. The location is great and close to everything we needed. We stayed for five days, and during that time, the kids enjoyed the pool—one of the main reasons we booked this place. However, the owner repeatedly expressed annoyance with the kids playing in the pool, despite them being respectful and simply enjoying themselves like any other children. Their mother and her partner, who were staying at a different hotel, would visit during the day to spend time with the kids and cook dinner before heading back. We made sure to follow the rules—signing in all visitors as required—but the owner still made a big issue out of it, constantly reminding us she was the owner and saying there were “too many people,” even though we were within the visitor policy. It became clear that she had no problem with other guests using the pool or having visitors, but her demeanor toward us, a Black family, was noticeably different. Her attitude felt targeted and discriminatory, and it was upsetting to feel so unwelcome when we were simply enjoying the amenities we paid for. It saddens me to write this, as we really did try to focus on the positives and enjoy our time with the kids. But the owner’s behavior almost ruined our trip. She lacks basic customer service and treated us poorly for no valid reason. I would hesitate to recommend this place to other families, especially Black families, based on our experience. We came to relax, and while we made the best of it, the treatment we received was unacceptable.

Our doctors told us we got carbon monoxide poisoning. Every minute of the time we spent in the room we felt worse. There was definitely something wrong with the room. Also in the 3 days we were there we received no cleaning. Nothing. The owners seemed like nice people. Definitely look for other lodging.

What a great place! Super clean, nice friendly staff, modern, updated. The tree is gorgeous. Pool is warm and clean. Lots of chairs to lounge in. Small place, so no crowds. Within easy walking distance to like 50 restaurants and just over a small hill from Playa La Medera. Excellent!!!

Spent a week at Villa Naomi and it was wonderful. Our room Villa Guadalupe, was clean and spacious. Restaurants and downtow are very close and just a short walk to the beach. The pool area is very nice. They could use more room for some more lounge chairs. Maybe pave the grass area. Internet was spotty but okay for email. I would stay here again.

Comfortable hotel with excellent staff. We stayed in Villa Valeria, which had an outdoor kitchen & terrace close to the pool which was perfect for us and our 1 year old. The location is great, within walking distance to town and the market and had secure parking. Perla was really responsive when making the reservation and Eladio was super helpful while we were there. Definitely would go back.

This lovely little boutique hotel is very central, short walks to the lovely beaches and a multitude of restaurants. It is very clean and the beds are very comfortable. We stayed in the Valeria room with a few porch stairs leading to the pool. Our kitchens was outdoors, on the covered porch and the bedroom and bathroom in the back. Loved it.

We had a terrace ( Villa Maria ) but all terraces face inward and are close together so conversations and dish noises are easily heard as well as some street noise. The room was very clean, the kitchen not well equipped with utensils ( no sharp knife ) nor spices so if you plan on cooking, bring some basics or you can shop at Mega Soriano which has everything. For a long term stay I would look for a quieter and less expensive spot. All TV stations were Spanish and the king bed was very hard so we did a lot of stretching !
